Resistance rockets blast US camp in al-Qa’im for fourth time in one week.
In a dispatch posted at 12:20pm Makkah time midday Thursday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired a rocket barrage at the US base in the city of al-Qa’im near the Syrian border at 5am local time, around dawn on Thursday.
The al-Qa’im correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Resistance fired five rockets into the American base, which used to be the main train station in the city.
The correspondent reported residents of the ‘12th of Rabi‘ al-Awwal’ district and farmers who arrived early in the area to sell their produce their as saying that a thick column of smoke could be seen in the sky over the base, from which they heard two powerful explosions after the five rockets struck home.
The witnesses said that swarms of American helicopters flew in over the base but there was no way of knowing anything in detail about the nature or extent of casualties. Thursday morning’s rocket barrage was the fourth such attack on the facility in a week.
Al-Fallujah.
Resistance attacks on puppet police in ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah continue.
In a dispatch posted at 8:22pm Makkah time Thursday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by an Iraqi puppet police patrol in the al-Ikha’ Complex in the ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah suburb, about 7km southwest of al-Fallujah.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the blast inflicted several casualties among the puppet policemen. After the attack, the puppet police closed the road to the hospital in the area and set up roadblocks at the entrance to the facility.
Later, an Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by a puppet police checkpoint inside a housing complex in ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah.
The correspondent wrote that at the time of reporting, puppet policemen were prowling around the area, firing off bullets randomly and indiscriminately. The loudspeaker system on the ar-Rahman mosque announced that some local people had been wounded and were taken to hospital. The mosque therefore was calling for people to go and donate blood.
In a dispatch posted at 10:01pm Makkah time Thursday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported witnesses as saying that the explosion had killed 10 Iraqi puppet policemen, whose bodies were ripped part by the force of the blast.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported the witnesses as saying that five tribal personalities who were with the puppet policemen at the time were also killed. The puppet police responded by wandering around the area shooting randomly and shouting abuse. The puppet policemen attacked local residents and prevented the broadcast of the call to night prayer and the holding of night prayers in the local mosque. Puppet police also forced shopkeepers to close and forced some people to leave their houses and take to the road or be beaten up.
Bodies of nine collaborators found in al-Fallujah.
In a dispatch posted at 12:15pm Makkah time midday Thursday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that residents of al-Karmah west of al-Fallujah, discovered eight bodies in the area of a branch of the Tigris River north of town on Thursday morning.
The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the eight were believed to be local civilians who worked as service workers on the American military base.
Meanwhile, the puppet police in al-Fallujah discovered the body of Captain ‘Abbas Muhammad, the commander of “rescue patrols” in the city. The corpse was found in the an-Nazizah district in central al-Fallujah.
In the last few weeks, Mafkarat al-Islam noted, al-Fallujah has witnessed an upsurge of attacks on the puppet police.
Resistance bomb destroys US Humvee near ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah.
In a dispatch posted at 9:20am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a high-explosive Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military patrol near the ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah suburb, about 7km southwest of al-Fallujah at about 7am local time Thursday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the blast completely destroyed a US Humvee. American forces immediately surrounded the area making it impossible to ascertain the nature or extent of casualties.

Resistance fighters ambush US column in western Baghdad’s al-‘Amiriyah district.
In a dispatch posted at 7:52pm Makkah time Thursday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier, Iraqi Resistance fighters had attacked a column of four Humvees in al-‘Amiriyah.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that Resistance fighters armed with machine guns ambushed the American column on al-‘Amal ash-Sha‘bi Street near the ar-Rabat soft drink company. One Humvee was disabled in the attack. At the time of reporting a light fire was smoldering at the rear end of the vehicle.
Car bomb explodes in Baghdad’s ash-Shu‘lah district, reportedly killing 24 Thursday afternoon.
In a bulletin posted at 5:05pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that short while earlier a car bomb exploded in the predominantly Shi‘i Baghdad district of ash-Shu‘lah.
Later, in a dispatch posted at 6:57pm Makkah time, the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported a medical source in the an-Nur Hospital in Baghdad as saying that 24 people had been killed in the blast. Mafkarat al-Islam quoted the medical source as saying that all the victims were men, no women and children being among them. Mafkarat al-Islam wrote that most were members of the Jaysh al-Mahdi militia.
Five more bodies of tortured and murdered Sunnis found in Baghdad Thursday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 12:10pm Makkah time midday Thursday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi puppet police found the bodies of five Sunni youths who had been tortured and killed and their bodies dumped in the as-Saddah area near the Madinat Saddam (also nicknamed Madinat as-Sadr) section of Baghdad on Thursday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a medical source as saying that the puppet police delivered the five bodies to the forensic medical center where they were identified as belonging to Sunni youths who had been tortured and later killed.

Resistance fighters destroy US convoy truck Tuesday.
In a dispatch posted on the Internet the General Command of the Mujahid Armed Forces of Iraq announced that their fighters totally destroyed a large American truck in an American convoy in the area of Tulul al-Baj, 320km north of Baghdad on the road from al-Mawsil to Baghdad. The attack that took place at 1:30pm local time Tuesday afternoon, 18 July 2006.

In a dispatch posted on the Internet the General Command of the Mujahid Armed Forces of Iraq announced that their fighters destroyed a large American truck in the area of Tulul al-Baj, 320km north of Baghdad in an attack that took place at 11:30pm local time on Wednesday night, 12 July 2006.

Car bomb blasts restaurant frequented by puppet police, security men in Bayji.
In a dispatch posted at 8:54pm Makkah time Thursday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier a car bomb exploded near the Ma Sha’ Allah Restaurant in Bayji, about 200km north of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that three Iraqi puppet policemen and 12 other people were killed in the blast and nine more wounded. Eyewitnesses told the correspondent that after the blast US forces surrounded the area, which was known as a haven for Iraqi puppet police and other security personnel working for the US occupation.

Iraqi Resistance car bomb blasts puppet police patrol in Kirkuk.
In a dispatch posted at 4pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by a puppet police patrol on al-Ma‘arid Street near the Direct Sale Plaza in central Kirkuk in northern Iraq.
The Kirkuk correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that an explosives-laden 1979 Crown car that was parked by the side of the street blew up as a puppet police patrol went by, wounding six puppet policemen and four civilians all of whom were taken to Azadi General Hospital in Kirkuk.

Resistance attack targets puppet governor of al-Mawsil.
In a dispatch posted at 7:47pm Makkah time Thursday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by the motorcade of Durayd Muhammad Kalshumah, the puppet governor of al-Mawsil, at 9:30am local time Thursday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a high-explosive bomb went off near the Sannaharib Bridge in the al-Faysaliyah area on the left (northeast) bank of the Tigris River in the city. The blast destroyed the car immediately in front of the puppet governor’s vehicle, killing three bodyguards. The puppet governor was apparently unharmed. A statement issued by the puppet governor claimed, contrary to eyewitness accounts, that the bombing had caused no damage.
Resistance organization reports attacks on US troops in al-Mawsil.
In a dispatch posted on the Internet the General Command of the Mujahid Armed Forces of Iraq announced that their forces destroyed an American Humvee on Sayidin Street in the Left Bank Industrial District of al-Mawsil. The attack took place at 11am local time, Thursday, 29 June 2006.
The dispatch said that the Resistance then destroyed an American armored vehicle in the same area of al-Mawsil at 2pm local time Wednesday afternoon, 5 July 2006.
Rabi‘ah.
Resistance group disables US vehicle near Rabi‘ah on Tuesday.
In a dispatch posted on the Internet the General Command of the Mujahid Armed Forces of Iraq announced that their fighters disabled an American armored vehicle in the Rabi‘ah area close to the Syrian border near the mountain forest area of northern Iraq’s Ninwa Province at 12:55pm midday Tuesday, 18 July 2006.
