Four US troops reported killed in Resistance bomb attack in al-Baghdadi.
In a dispatch posted at 9pm Makkah time Monday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column on the main road near the eastern entrance to the city of al-Baghdadi, about 225km northwest of Baghdad.
The al-Baghdadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the bomb completely destroyed a US Humvee, killing its four-man crew.
Rawah.
Three US troops reported killed in bomb attack in far west Iraq.
In a dispatch posted at 11:35am Makkah time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column on the main road west of Rawah, some 315km northwest of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the bomb exploded near the western entrance to the city, completely destroying a Humvee and killing three US troops who were aboard it. Two other soldiers were severely wounded in the blast.
Al-Fallujah.
Resistance bomb blasts puppet "National Guard" patrol in al-Fallujah.
In a dispatch posted at 1:05pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by an Iraqi puppet army patrol on the main road in the Industrial Zone of southeastern al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported owners of at mechanical workshop in the zone as saying that a bomb that had been planted next to as-Sadd Street blew up by a column of puppet "National Guard" soldiers, killing three and wounding two of them. The bomb also damaged a number of civilian cars parked near the scene.
US soldier reported killed in grenade attack in al-Fallujah.
In a dispatch posted at 9:45am Makkah time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Iraqi Resistance threw a hand grenade at a foot patrol of US and Iraqi puppet army troops in the al-Jawlan neighborhood of al-Fallujah.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the grenade killed one American and wounded a second and also wounded an Iraqi puppet army soldier.
Ar-Ramadi.
US warplanes destroy two homes in ar-Ramadi, killing three, wounding seven civilians.
In a dispatch posted at 6:25pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US forces warplanes struck a home in the al-'Aziziyah area of centeral ar-Ramadi at midday Monday, destroying the target house and also the one next door.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a medical source in ar-Ramadi General Hospital who asked not to be identified as saying that the treacherous American bombardment of the civilian dwellings resulted in the deaths of three local people with seven more civilians injured. The wounded included two children and three women all of whom were undergoing treatment in the intensive care ward of the hospital.
Americans arrest Imam of mosque in ar-Ramadi.
In a dispatch posted at 5:50pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation troops arrested Shaykh Nafi' Kurdi, the Imam of the Ahmad ibn Hanbal Mosque in the at-Ta’mim neighborhood, one of the largest neighborhoods of ar-Ramadi about 110km west of Baghdad on Monday morning.
The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the arrest took place at 6am local time and that along with the Shaykh, the Americans took away three of his brothers when they carried out their surprise raid on his home.
Demonstrators poured out into the streets of the neighborhood to protest the arrest of the Shaykh and to demand that Kurdi, aged 60 be released.
Abu Ghurayb.
Resistance fighters kill two pro-American Shi'i sectarian gunmen in Abu Ghurayb.
In a dispatch posted at 9:05pm Makkah time Monday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters shot and killed two pro-American Shi'i sectarian militias in Abu Ghurayb, about 30km west of Baghdad.
The Abu Ghurayb correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the Resistance fighters armed with machine guns attacked and killed two sectarian militiamen who were halted on the road to residential buildings in the area. After killing the two militia gunmen, the Resistance fighters withdrew from the area having suffered no casualties.
Baghdad.
Resistance fighters gun down pro-US Badr Brigade militiamen in western Baghdad.
In a dispatch posted at 11:30am Makkah time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters shot and killed two members of the pro-Ameican Shi'i sectarian Badr Brigade militia in the al-'Amil neighborhood of western Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Resistance fighters, who were equipped with light arms attacked the Badr Brigade gunmen as they were halted on the main road to the puppet police station in al-'Amil. After killing the pro-American gunmen, the Resistance fighters immediately left the scene.
Jaysh ar-Rashideen reports strikes on fuel tankers in al-Ghazaliyah, Saturday night.
In a communiqu published on the Internet on Monday, the Iraqi Resistance organization Jaysh ar-Rashideen announced that one of its detachments had detonated a bomb by a tanker hauling fuel to US forces on the highway near the al-Bakriyah fuel station in the al-Ghazaliyah area. The attack, which took place at 10:30pm, Saturday 15 July, totally destroyed the tanker according to the Jaysh ar-Rashideen statement.
Just one hour earlier, a bomb planted by the Jaysh ar-Rashideen guerrillas had already disabled a tanker hauling fuel for US forces in the same area at 9:30pm Saturday, 15 July.

Yathrib.
Resistance bombards US-occupied airbase in Yathrib with mortars.
In a dispatch posted at 9:10pm Makkah time Monday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired seven 82mm mortar rounds at the US-occupied al-Bakr Air Base (known to the Americans as Camp Anaconda) in Yathrib, about 85km north of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the mortar rounds scored direct hits on the camp, said to be the largest American base in the area north of Baghdad. Plumes of smoke could be seen rising from the facility.
Samarra’.
US puts Samarra’ under curfew starting at dawn Monday.
In a dispatch posted at 8:57pm Makkah time Monday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US forces imposed a curfew on whole neighborhoods in the city of Samarra’, about 120km north of Baghdad at 6am local time Monday. The curfews remained in force Monday evening.
The Samarra’ correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US military vehicles patrolled the streets and issued a statement saying that the curfew had been imposed for "security reasons." The correspondent reported that local people had no idea why the curfew had been imposed since the situation in the city had been relatively calm.
Bayji.
Four US troops reported killed in high-explosive bombing in Bayji late Monday afternoon.
In a dispatch posted at 6:40pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier a high-explosive Iraqi Resistance bomb blew up by a US military column in the middle of Bayji, about 200km north of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the blast destroyed a Humveee and killed four US troops instantly. After the explosion the surviving Americans in the column opened fire indiscriminately to break up crowds who were gathering for fear that someone might photograph the bodies of the US troops burning in the wreckage of the Humvee.
A source in the puppet police force set up by the occupation to guar the oil fields in Bayji confirmed to the correspondent of Mafkarat al-Islam on the scene that some Americans were killed in the attack but would not say how many.

Al-Mawsil.
Resistance bombs blast two US patrols in al-Mawsil.
In a dispatch posted at 8:52pm Makkah time Monday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Resistance bombs exploded by two US patrols in the an-Nur neighborhood and industrial zone of the northern Iraqi city of al-Mawsil.
The al-Mawsil correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the an-Nur neighborhood of northeastern al-Mawsil as saying that a bomb went off by a joint US-Iraqi puppet army patrol in the neighborhood, disabling a Bradley armored vehicle. The nature and number of casualties was not known due to the fact that US and Iraqi puppet forces quickly sealed off the area.
In a second attack, Resistance fighters in eastern al-Mawsil’s industrial zone set off a bomb by US forces on a side street in the area, destroying a Humvee and wounding four American soldiers.

Resistance pounds British occupation forces with rockets and mortars in al-Basrah Monday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 11:15am Makkah time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired barrages of medium-range Katyusha rockets and mortars at two British occupation headquarters in the southern city of al-Basrah.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the al-Basrah puppet police as saying that the British headquarters in the al-Basrah International Airport was struck by four medium-range Katyusha rockets at dawn on Monday. Witnesses said that the rockets scored direct hits and inflicted damage on the buildings and equipment. A number of British troops were also wounded in the bombardment.
The Iraqi Resistance also pounded the British occupation headquarters in the al-Barradi'iyah district of al-Basrah with four heavy 120mm mortar rounds. The shells struck the headquarters directly, sending plumes of smoke rising into the sky.
