Resistance shells blast into US headquarters in al-Hadithah.
In a dispatch posted at 3:05pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired six mortar rounds into the US military headquarters in the city of al-Hadithah, about 300km northwest of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Hadithah as saying that the headquarters located in eastern al-Hadithah took direct hits from the shells, sending plumes of smoke rising into the sky.
Al-Fallujah.
Resistance mounts a series of attacks on US forces in the al-Fallujah area Friday and Saturday.
In a dispatch posted at 3:15pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters mounted two separate attacks on US occupation troops and their puppet army allies in the city of al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad in the previous 24 hours.
The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb exploded by a US military column on the main road near the eastern entrance to the city opposite the al-‘Askari neighborhood. The blast completely destroyed one Humvee, killing or wounding the members of its five-man crew.
After the attack, US forces surrounded the area and beat up and arrested workers in the fuel station nearby. The Americans released the workers an hour later.
In a second attack, Iraqi Resistance forces fired four heavy 120mm mortar rounds into the camp jointly occupied by US and Iraqi puppet army forces set up in the cold storage buildings in the al-Karmah area east of al-Fallujah. The mortar shells scored direct hits on the facility sending plumes of smoke rising into the sky.
In a dispatch posted at 9:06pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces carried out several attacks on US and Iraqi puppet army forces in the area of al-Khalidiyah, about 80km west of Baghdad on Friday and Saturday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a high-explosive Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US mine sweeper in the Jazirat al-Khalidiyah area near al-Fallujah at 5am local time Friday morning. Witnesses said that the huge blast was concentrated directly on the minesweeper, totally destroying it. Local people reported seeing it ablaze.
The at 7am Friday morning another Iraqi Resistance bomb went off by an American armored vehicle in the same area, setting it on fire and sending clouds of smoke rising into the sky. Afterwards, US forces sealed off the area and called in Chinook helicopters to evacuate the soldiers who were wounded in the attack.
Then another Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a patrol of several Humvees in the same area at 2pm. Witnesses said that one of the patrol vehicles continued to burn until American rescue helicopters arrived to evacuate the casualties.
The in a later incident Iraqi Resistance fighters armed with RPG7 rocket-propelled grenades and PKS machine guns attacked a camp jointly occupied by US and Iraqi puppet forces in al-Fallujah, damaging he camp. Afterwards US troops surrounded the area and launched raids and searches in the environs.

In a bulletin posted at 7:55pm Makkah time Saturday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter drove a car bomb into a US military column in the middle of ar-Ramadi
The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the Resistance fighter lay in wait for the Americans on a side street and surprised the column as it drove along the main 17th of Tammuz Street in the area. The Resistance fighter plunged at high speed into the column and blew up, completely destroying two US vehicles and killing or wounding a number of US troops. American troops surrounded the area and US helicopters landed at the scene and were still there at the time the bulletin was posted.
Prominent pro-American “Islamic Party” politician gunned down.
In a dispatch posted at 12:45pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short time earlier, unknown armed men driving a BMW car had opened fire on ‘Adnan al-Mahlawi, a prominent leader of the “Iraqi Islamic Party” as he was leaving his house in the as-Sufiyah district of northern ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that al-Mahlawi later died in what was the latest of a series of attacks on leaders of the Sunni-sectarian party that was formed on the basis of the organization of the Iraqi Muslim Brotherhood after the US invasion in 2003 and has collaborated with the American occupation since then.
At the beginning of July some 40 armed men abducted Taysir Najih al-Mashhadani, an “Islamic Party” member of the US-installed puppet “Iraqi Parliament,” together with eight of his aides and none of them have since been heard from.

In a bulletin posted at 7:15pm Makkah time Saturday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that armed men abducted the chairman of the Olympic Committee of occupied Iraq, Ahmad al-Hajjiah along with other accompanying sports officials.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported an official in the ar-Rusafah puppet police confirmed the news of the abduction.
Resistance bomb kills US soldier in eastern Baghdad.
In a dispatch posted at 4:05pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column on the highway near the Ministry building complex in eastern Baghdad.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a bomb that had been planted near the al-Qanat Bridge near the complex blew up by a passing American column, destroying a Humvee and killing one US soldier and wounding three more of them.
Resistance car bomber blows up puppet police checkpoint.
In a dispatch posted at 3:45pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter drove a car bomb into a check point manned by Iraqi puppet police in the al-Ghadir section of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Ghadir as saying that the Resistance fighter detonated his explosives-packed car at a check point on the main road in al-Ghadir. The blast destroyed a patrol vehicle and killed two puppet policemen and wounded four more of them. One civilian was also killed and two more wounded in the attack.
Resistance clashes with puppet “Shock Troops” in central Baghdad midday Saturday.
In a dispatch posted at 12:35pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that at the time of reporting Iraqi Resistance fighters were battling puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir)” accompanied by pro-American Shi‘i sectarian militiamen in the al-Fadl district of central Baghdad. The fighting erupted when the puppet “Shock Troops” and their militia allies tried to carry out raids in the district.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that so far a number of the “Shock Troops” and militiamen had been killed and one patrol vehicle set ablaze. But the fighting was still underway.

Raids and mass arrests in ad-Dulu‘iyah Saturday.
In a dispatch posted at 1:58pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation troops together with their Iraqi puppet army allies launched a campaign of mass arrests in the town of ad-Dulu‘iyah, 97km north of Baghdad on Saturday. At least 35 local residents were arrested.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the ages of those taken away by the Americans and their puppet Army allies ranged from 20 to 40. Not only were people picked up in the course of house-to-house raids, but pedestrians who happened to be in the street were bound and led away.
