Resistance sharpshooter kills Iraqi puppet “National Guard” soldier.

In a dispatch posted at 1:09pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed an Iraqi puppet “National Guard” soldier in the city of al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad. The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the puppet “National Guard” soldier was standing at a check point near the new bridge in western al-Fallujah when he took a direct hit from a Resistance sharpshooter’s bullet, killing him instantly.

Resistance mounts attacks on ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah, killing six civilians.

In a dispatch posted at 10:19am Makkah time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation forces continued their blockade of the suburb ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah, about 7km southwest of the city of al-Fallujah for the second straight day. In addition to keeping the city cut off from the outside world, however, US forces bombed residential houses in preparation for an expected ground assault. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that US forces were surrounding the districts of al-Falihat and al-‘Uwaysat in ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah for the second day running. Dozens of armored vehicles ringed the area and launched an assault, trying to penetrate into the district. Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons obstructed the American advance, however, completely destroying a US tank and killing or wounding six American troops who were in it. US warplanes attacked and destroyed several residential houses, killing six civilians including a woman and two children. Eight more civilians were wounded in the American air raid.

Resistance attack on US patrol leaves three US troops reported dead.

In a dispatch posted at 10:37am Makkah time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters ambushed a US military patrol on the main road in the Abu Ghurayb area. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Abu Ghurayb as saying that the attack began when a Resistance bomb exploded by the US patrol near the ash-Shihiyah area of the town. The blast set one American Humvee ablaze. Then Resistance fighters armed with light and medium arms attacked the patrol, killing three American troops and wounding three more of them.

Iraqi President Saddam Husayn informs US show “trial” he will not attend session on 10 July since it has already decided its verdict in accordance with US desires.

Iraqi President Saddam Husayn sent a hand-written message to the US-run show trial “court” expressing his refusal to attend its sittings. Below is our translation of the handwritten Arabic text of President Saddam Husayn’s letter as reproduced on the patriotic Iraqi albasrah.net website:

In the Name of God, the Marciful, the Mercy-Giving.

“Our Lord, do not let our hearts stray after You have guided us.” (Qur’an, 3:8)

To the President of the Special Higher Criminal “Court”.

In view of the fact that the court lacks the recognized legal measures that accord with Iraqi law and international law it seems as if there is an a priori malicious intention to judge us in accordance with the vicious desires of America, whose abased lackeys in Iraq answer to them under the influence of a well-known hatred and the notion that if they judge us for what they call crimes against humanity they will thereby keep us away from the politics and affairs of our country. You know and everyone knows that we did not become rulers of Iraq by means of American policy or money and we were not brought to the seat of authority on airplanes and tanks, but rather by our will and the will of our great people, and then by the will of our people based on their historic consciousness, determination, and desire expressed in successive referenda. Therefore America and its lackeys are only deceiving themselves; they will never deceive the people and public opinion. Because of this we will not attend the “court” session that has been scheduled to take place on 10 July 2005, and we are hereby informing you of this in accordance with the requirements of the law.

Legal defense team for imprisoned Iraqi leaders suspends attendance at court sessions beginning 10 July 2006.

The legal defense team working for imprisoned Iraqi leaders sent a message to the show trial “court” announcing that they were suspending their attendance at the hearings beginning 10 July 2006 and enumerated a list of 15 complaints against the proceedings and the way they were being handled and demands for action to rectify them. The letter was published on the patriotic Iraqi website albasrah.net.

In their letter, the lawyers complained of a lack of security and cited the deaths of several of their number, most recently that of Khamis al-‘Ubaydi and demanded an inquiry into his death. They condemned the statement by the US-appointed “Iraqi Prime Minister” Nuri al-Maliki that imprisoned Iraqi President Saddam Husayn would “soon be executed,” calling this a violation of the conditions for holding a just trial and demanding that the “court” denounce that statement as interference in the judicial process, for which the “Prime Minister” must resign or confess before the world.

Official Baath Party Statement on Sunday’s Shi‘i sectarian rampage in western Baghdad: “Keep your guns trained on the occupation and its stooges, don’t respond to sectarianism with sectarian logic!”

The patriotic Iraqi website albasrah.net published on Monday an official statement by a spokesman for the Iraqi Baath Party concerning the rampage by Shi‘i sectarians in western Baghdad’s al-Jihad neighborhood and other areas of the city in which some 60 Iraqis were killed. Below is the translation of the entire statement as published there.

Statement by an authorized spokesman for the Baath Party concerning the crime committed in the al-Jihad neighborhood.

An official spokesman of the Iraqi Regional Culture and Information Bureau of the Arab Baath Socialist Party stated that the hideous crime committed by gangs loyal to Iran and with the encouragement and support of the US occupation forces is nothing but the latest chapter in the story of attempts to ignite a blind sectarian discord that will burn up everything and allow the occupation to turn the tables on the heads of the Iraqi people and stamp out their heroic Resistance.

The spokesman added that the Jaysh al-Mahdi, which is now the main tool being used by the American occupation and Iran, was the party that perpetrated this hideous crime, in pursuance of the role assigned it by Iran and the American occupation after the Badr Brigades failed to carry out this task on the one hand and now that it has taken on the role of carrying out crimes against the people of Iraq in the name of the Ministry of the Interior on the other hand.

Our Party condemns this ugly crime by the Jaysh al-Mahdi that took the lives of more than 60 children, women, elderly and young people who were murdered just because of the religious affiliation listed on their ID cards in the al-Jihad neighborhood as an act of vengeance against this militant neighborhood for its jihad against the occupation. Our Party affirms that the armed patriotic Resistance will never retreat but rather will strengthen its jihadi struggle to expel the occupation, liberate Iraq and rid it of the stooges of Iran who serve the occupation and play the fundamental role alongside the Peshmergah militias and Ahmad Chelebi in killing our citizens.

The Jaysh al-Mahdi is directly responsible for this crime, having been commissioned by Iran in accordance with the announced agreement with America on the partition of Iraq, parceling it out between them. This is a fact, not an allegation because thousands of Iraqi victims of this organization testify that this organization has transformed Saddam City into a frightful slaughter house in which hundreds of Iraqis are imprisoned and subjected to the most hideous types of deadly torture, after which their bodies are dumped in filthy water. The criminal murder of the martyred attorney Khamis al-‘Ubaydi is one of the most vicious examples of this criminal behavior of the Jaysh al-Mahdi.

The official spokesman of the Baath concluded by directing an appeal to all Iraqis to always keep their guns pointed exclusively at the occupation and the lackeys of the occupation and not to be drawn into the American-Iranian game that the Jaysh al-Mahdi is promoting, namely the game of igniting a sectarian war that will change the priorities of the Iraqi people from fighting the occupation and its stooges into a suicidal sectarian war. The Baath fully believes that the only acceptable patriotic response to this crime is to escalate armed action against the occupation and the stooges of the occupation, and not to respond to sectarianism with sectarian logic.

Resistance fighters repulse Shi‘i sectarian attack on Sunni mosque in ad-Durah.

Iraqi Resistance fighters intercepted the Shi‘i sectarian gunmen, sparking a battle in which several of the attacking militiamen were killed or wounded their cars destroyed. After the Resistance fighters repelled the sectarian attackers, US forces imposed a curfew on the area, making it impossible for the correspondent to ascertain the precise number and nature of casualties.

Mysterious bomb blasts Arab Market on ar-Rashid street in Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 2:30pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a mysterious bomb exploded in the Arab Market in the middle of occupied Baghdad. Quds Press quoted an Iraqi puppet police source as saying that the bomb went off in the very crowded market near the Iraqi Central Bank. There was no military target in sight at the time, the source told Quds Press. The blast destroyed a number of private cars that were parked in the area, Quds Press reported. A Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses who were passing through the market at the time as saying that the bomb was planted by the entrance to a popular restaurant in the market on ar-Rashid Street. The witnesses said that the blast killed seven civilians and wounded 27 more.

Resistance fires rockets, mortar shells at Shi‘i sectarian and puppet security force headquarters in Sab‘ al-Bur west of Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 9:36am Makkah time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired a violent mortar and medium-range rocket barrage into the headquarters of pro-American Shi ‘ sectarian militias in the Sab‘ al-Bur area west of Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Sab‘ al-Bur as saying that the headquarters of the Shi ‘ sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi militia and the puppet “Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir)” and the Badr Brigades in the area were all struck by several mortar rounds and more than four medium-range Katyusha rockets. The witnesses said that the bombardment set the headquarters ablaze, killing or wounding dozens of sectarian fighters. The correspondent was unable to ascertain the precise number or nature of the casualties because US and Iraqi puppet army forces quickly surrounded the area.

Resistance mortars pound puppet “National Guard” Sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi headquarters in al-Mada’in.

In a dispatch posted at 9:49am Makkah time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired a mortar barrage at the headquarters of the Shi ‘ sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi and at the puppet “Iraqi National Guard” troops in the middle of al-Mada’in, about 25km southeast of Baghdad. The al-Mada’in correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the Resistance fired three heavy 120mm mortar rounds into the headquarters of the Jaysh al-Mahdi, scoring direct hits on the facility and sending plumes of smoke rising into the sky. The Resistance also fired six 82mm mortar rounds into the headquarters of the puppet “Iraqi National Guards” in al-Mada’in, scoring direct hits and sending plumes of smoke billowing up over the facility.

Resistance bomb blasts US column north of al-Yusufiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 9:39am Makkah time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column north of al-Yusufiyah on the highway to Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Yusufiyah, about 30km southwest of Baghdad, as saying aht a bomb that had been planted by the highway near the ad-Dayirah area blew up bay a passing US military column, destroying a supply transport vehicle and wounding two American troops.

Resistance car bomb blasts US Consulate motorcade in Kirkuk Monday.

An Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by a US Consulate motorcade in the ‘Arafah neighborhood of Kirkuk in northern Iraq. Quds Press quoted a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that a Resistance car bomb that had been parked by the side of the road in the ‘Arafah neighborhood blew up as a US consulate motorcade was driving past on Monday. The blast destroyed one of the four-wheel-drive vehicles in the column and inflicted casualties on the personnel in the convoy. One civilian who happened to be nearby at the time was also wounded.

Resistance car bomb targets pro-American Kurdish separatist headquarters in Kirkuk.

In a dispatch posted at 12:35pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by the gates to the pro-American separatist National Union of Kurdistan Party in the al-Wasiti section of southern Kirkuk. The Kirkuk correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Wasiti as saying that an explosives-laden car that had been parked by the side of the road near the main gate to the Kurdish separatist party headquarters blew up, killing one guard and wounding three more of them. Six civilians who were near the separatist headquarters were wounded.
