Saturday, 24 June 2006.

・ Two Resistance attacks in 24 hours leave a reported seven US troops dead in Abu Ghurayb.

Al-Anbar Province.

Ar-Ramadi.

Resistance forces carry out pre-dawn attack on two US headquarters in ar-Ramadi.

In a dispatch posted at 4pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked two headquarters of US occupation troops in the middle of ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghdad at dawn on Saturday.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in ar-Ramadi as saying that Iraqi Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons and rocket launchers violently attacked two US headquarters. The Resistance men assaulted the American headquarters set up in the Provincial Government building and in the Immigration Building in the center of the city. The attack lasted for about three hours and completely destroyed a US armored vehicle and a Humvee in addition to damaging another American armored vehicle. The wreckage of the American vehicles was still strewn about the main street ﾐ az-Zuyut Street ﾐ near the provincial government building at the time of reporting.

No information on the number or nature of US casualties was available since the attack took place in the early morning before the nighttime curfew had been lifted.

Al-Fallujah.

Resistance fighters ambush Iraqi puppet army patrol in al-Fallujah’s Nazal neighborhood.

In a dispatch posted at 11:29am Makkah time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked an Iraqi puppet army patrol in the Nazal neighborhood of al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad.

The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Nazal as saying that Resistance fighters armed with machine guns attacked the puppet army foot patrol on the main road near he ‘Abd al-‘Aziz as-Samarra’i Mosque, killing one puppet soldier and wounding two more.

Al-Baghdadi.

Resistance attacks target Iraqi puppet army forces near a-Baghdadi.

In a dispatch posted at 10:40am Makkah time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces mounted two attacks on Iraqi puppet forces in the Jubbah Camp in the city of al-Baghdadi, about 225km northwest of Baghdad.

The al-Baghdadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the Jubbah area as saying that the headquarters of the puppet forces in the al-Madani neighborhood of Jubbah was hit by three 60mm mortar rounds that set off explosions and sent smoke rising into the sky.

In a second attack, Resistance fighters blew up a fresh water pipe that carried drinking water to the Iraqi puppet army camp in Jubbah, cutting off all drinking water from the camp.

Abu Ghurayb.

Two Resistance attacks in 24 hours leave a reported seven US troops dead in Abu Ghurayb.

In a dispatch posted at 10:30am Makkah time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance bomb forces carried out two attacks on US occupation troops in Abu Ghurayb, about 30km west of Baghdad in the previous 24- hour period.

The Abu Ghurayb correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that a Resistance fida’ fighter drove an explosives-laden car into a US column on the an-Nasr wa-as-Salam Road in western Abu Ghurayb. The blast destroyed one US vehicle and disabled a second, killing four American troops and wounding three more of them.

In a second attack, an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol on the highway in the az-Zaydan area of southern Abu Ghurayb, completely destroying a Humvee and killing three US troops and wounding two more of them.

Baghdad.

Puppet “Shock Troops” raid southern Baghdad neighborhood, robbing houses and arresting 40 people.

In a dispatch posted at 9:05pm Makkah time Saturday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier, 30 vehicles full of puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir)” carried out a major raid on the Sunni area of Abu Dashir to the south of Baghdad.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of Abu Dashir as saying that the puppet troops raided, searched, and robbed the homes of residents in the area, arresting more 40 local people, including elderly men and boys. All were taken off to unknown destinations. The puppet “Shock Troops” are among the main forces involved in sectarian kidnapping, torture, and murder of Sunni residents of Iraq.

Resistance car bomber blasts headquarters of puppet “Shock Troops” in Baghdad’s al-Khadra’ district.

In a dispatch posted at 2:59pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by the headquarters of the puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir)” in the al-Khadra’ district of western Baghdad. The puppet “Shock Troops” are among the main forces involved in sectarian kidnapping, torture, and murder of Sunni residents of Iraq.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Khadra’ as saying that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter drove an explosives-laden car through the cement barricades and blew up his car near the gate of the headquarters. The blast destroyed parts of he headquarters and vehicles belonging to the puppet “Shock Troops,” killing or wounding several of them. No information on the nature or extent of casualties among the puppet forces was available as US occupation troops and Iraqi puppet forces rushed to surround the building, closing all approaching roads.

Resistance bomb blasts puppet army troops in Baghdad’s al-Ma’mun district.

In a dispatch posted at 2:40pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a patrol of Iraqi puppet army troops in the central Baghdad district of al-Ma’mun.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Ma’mun as saying that the bomb, which was planted next to the road to al-Khadra’, went off by a passing puppet army patrol. The blast destroyed one of the patrol vehicles, killing one Iraqi puppet army soldier and wounding three more of them.

Resistance fighters ambush pro-American Shi‘i sectarian militia in Sab‘ al-Bur.

In a dispatch posted at 10:35am Makkah time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces attacked a concentration of pro-American Shi ‘ sectarian militia in the Sab‘ al-Bur area of northwestern Baghdad, killing three sectarian militiamen and wounding five more of them.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Sab‘ al-Bur as saying that Resistance fighters armed with machine guns attacked a concentration of Shi‘i sectarian gunmen, killing three of them and wounding five more. Afterwards the Resistance fighters withdrew from the scene without having suffered any casualties of their own.

Zionist military training camp active in northern occupied Iraq, Turkish newspaper reports.

In a dispatch posted at 9:20pm Makkah time Saturday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Turkish newspaper Milli Gazete reported that high-ranking Zionist security officials and Zionist companies had set up a secret military training camp in northern Iraq for training in the use of Zionist weaponry.

Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Milli Gazete in its Saturday issue said that the Zionist companies set up a highly secret camp in the desert in northern Iraq under the code name “Z”.

The newspaper reported that Zionist training officers came to the base via Turkey under the pretext that they were agricultural specialists. The Zionist agents also build an airport in Irbil, Milli Gazete reported.

Milli Gazete noted that the Zionist news paper Yediot Ahronot reported some six months ago that “Israeli” armaments companies were carrying out extensive activity in the northern parts of occupied Iraq, as well as elsewhere in the country. The Zionist reporter Yossi Melman of Haaretz wrote about the activities of Zionist companies active in northerni Iraq saying that they were engaged in exporting “Israeli” weapons for use by the Iraqi puppet police, Milli Gazete noted.

Resistance car bomber blasts into puppet army checkpoint in ad-Dulu‘iyah.

In a dispatch posted at 6:05pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Irqi Resistance car bomb exploded at an Iraqi puppet army checkpoint in the middle of ad-Dulu‘iyah, 97km north of Baghdad

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter drove an explosives-laden car into a checkpoint manned by Iraqi puppet army troops, destroying one puppet army vehicle and killing three Iraqi puppet army soldiers and wounding three more of them.

After the attack US troops accompanied by their Iraqi puppet army allies surrounded the attack scene, and hauled away the bodies of the dead and the wounded to the American base in the nearby city of Balad.

Tikrit.

American troops violently arrest Mufti of Salah ad-Din Province together with two sons, after raiding, robbing his house in Tikrit.

In a dispatch posted at 11:38am Makkah time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation forces arrested the Mufti (Islamic Jurisconsult) for the Province of Salah ad-Din, north of Baghdad, Shaykh Jamal ‘Abd al-Karim ad-Dabban, who is 70 years of age. The Mufti was arrested with his two sons in the raid carried out early Saturday morning.

The Tikrit correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US forces in helicopters staged an airborne landing on the Mufti’s house. They used percussion bombs to blow open the door and stormed inside. The Americans isolated all the women in one room together with the children and robbed the house of its contents. They beat he elderly Mufti and his two sons then arrested them and took them off to the American base.

The correspondent reported that the mood in Tikrit is boiling with rage over the savage arrest of the religious leader.

Later Saturday afternoon, the American Associated Press (AP) reported that US forces had released the Mufti following massive protests.

Diyala Province.

Al-‘Azim.

Resistance ambush leaves four puppet troops dead in al-‘Azim.

In a dispatch posted at 6:40pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces attacked a temporary checkpoint manned by Iraqi puppet “National Guard” troops on the main road in the city of al-‘Azim, 100km north of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-‘Azim as saying that Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons attacked the temporary puppet “Iraqi National Guard” checkpoint on the Baghdad-Kirkuk Road. The correspondent reported that the attack killed four puppet “National Guard” troops and wounded four more of them. The Resistance fighters withdrew from the area after the assault having sustained no casualties of their own.

Al-Latifiyah.

Resistance bombards joint US-Iraqi puppet army headquarters in al-Latifiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 10:18am Makkah time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired six heavy 120mm mortar rounds at the joint US-Iraqi puppet army headquarters in al-Latifiyah, about 30km south of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the shells scored direct hits on the headquarters sending plumes of smoke rising into the sky.

At-Ta’mim Province.

Kirkuk.

Resistance bomb kills puppet “Iraqi Director of Intelligence” in Kirkuk.

In a dispatch posted at 12:30pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by the motorcade of the puppet “Iraqi Director of Intelligence” in the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk. The attack took place in the Tis‘in district in the middle of the city.

The Kirkuk correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Tis‘in as saying that a bomb went off by the motorcade in which Musa Hajim was riding towards the unified city garage. The blast destroyed the Director’s car, killing him and two members of his bodyguard and wounding two more.

Al-Mawsil.

Resistance bomb kills pro-American Kurdish separatist gunman.

In a dispatch posted at 6:10pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a patrol of pro-American Kurdish separatist Peshmergah militiamen on the road to Kirkuk in southeast al-Mawsil in northern Iraq.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the al-Wahdah neighborhood of southeastern al-Mawsil as saying that a bomb planted next to the road destroyed one Peshmergah vehicle, killing one member of the Peshmergah patrol and seriously wounding three more of them.

Two US troops reported dead in Resistance bombing in al-Mawsil.

In a dispatch posted at 3:10pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military patrol on the main road in the Industrial Zone of western al-Mawsil in northern Iraq.

The al-Mawsil correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the Industrial Zone as saying that a bomb went off a patrol of two US Humvees and Stryker armored vehicles. The blast completely destroyed one American armored vehicle, killing two US troops and seriously wounding two more of them.
