Iraqi Resistance sharpshooter reportedly kills US soldier in al-Hadithah.

In a dispatch posted at 3:33pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed a US soldier on the main road in the middle of al-Hadithah, some 300km northwest of Baghdad.

�

The al-Hadithah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that a US patrol was driving down the main road in front of the local government office building when one of the American soldiers took a direct hit from an Iraqi Resistance sharpshooters bullet, killing him instantly.

�

Al-Fallujah.

Resistance bombards puppet police station in Amiriyat al-Fallujah Thursday evening.

�

In a dispatch posted at 11:10pm Makkah time Thursday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired RPG7 rocket-propelled grenades at the puppet police station in the Amiriyat al-Fallujah housing complex area, 7km southwest of the city of al-Fallujah, at 9:30pm local time Thursday evening.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying they heard th sound of an explosion coming from the puppet police station, and that was followed by the sound of very intensive gunfire by the puppet police, damaging the dome of the ar-Rahman Mosque in the housing area.

�

The correspondent reported that appeals by the Iraqi Resistance to members of the puppet police in Amiriyat al-Fallujah to quit working for the American occupation had met with mixed results.� Some had quit, while others stayed on, determined to continue working for the foreign occupation forces.

�

Resistance fighters beat back US attempt to storm district in al-Karmah Wednesday night, leaving two American troops reported killed.

�

In a dispatch posted at 12:25pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that fierce fighting broke out between Iraqi Resistance forces and US occupation troops in the al-Karmah area east of al-Fallujah, which is about 60km west of Baghdad, late Wednesday night.

�

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Karmah as saying that the combat erupted when a US force attempted to surround the ar-Rufah area in the middle of al-Karmah in order to storm into it.� Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons intercepted the Americans, however, sparking a firefight.

The correspondent reported that the fighting lasted for full hour and left one Humvee destroyed and another disabled.� Two American troops were killed and three more of them wounded in the clash, which forced the Americans to withdraw from the area.

Al-Baghdadi.

Resistance bomb blasts US convoy in al-Baghdadi.

�

In a dispatch posted at 10:05am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a convoy of trucks hauling supplies and munitions to US bases on the main road in al-Baghdadi, some 225km northwest of Baghdad.

�

The al-Baghdadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the bomb, which had been planted on the road to the US-occupied al-Asad Airbase exploded by the convoy of supply trucks.� The blast completely destroyed one truck, wounding its driver who was working for the American occupation forces.

Shii sectarian gunmen commit massacre in Sunni mosque to the north of Baghdad.

�

In a dispatch posted at 11:10am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Shi sectarian gunmen burst into the Great al-Ilm Mosque during the dawn prayer in Madinat al-Ilm to the north of Baghdad and opened fire, killing five worshippers and wounding 14 more of them.

�

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported an eyewitness as saying that the Shi sectarian gunmen stormed into the mosque less than two minutes after the Imam intoned Allahu akbar to start the prayers.� The Shii sectarian attackers threw a hand grenade into the third rank of the worshippers and then in a flash opened fire intensively on the worshippers.� The attackers then fled in two cars one an Opel and the other a Mitsubishi.

�

The correspondent reported that one of those wounded in the attack was Shaykh Abu al-Manaar al-Jabburi who is the chief of the Sunni Waqf (pious endowments) in the city.

�

Putin urges international help to free Russian diplomats in Iraq.

�

Russias president Thursday called on the international community to help free Russian diplomats kidnapped in Iraq, the Russian news agency RIA-Novosti Reported.

�

One Russian diplomat was killed and four others kidnapped when unidentified gunmen attacked the Russian embassy in the occupied Iraqi capital, Baghdad, June 3. The kidnappers have yet to make ransom or other demands for the hostages freedom, RIA-Novosti noted.

�

I am counting on assistance from all our friends, Putin told journalists at a summit meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Shanghai, China. We are continuing to work on the problem, and cooperating with the Iraqi authorities, and with our friends in neighboring states, the Russian President said, according to a RIA-Novosti dispatch.

�

A senior Russian lawmaker, Mikhail Margelov, said earlier that Russia was using all its connections with the Iraqi regime and major political parties to secure their release, and urged all Iraqis who remembered Russian aid to the country to help in the search.

�

But Margelov, who heads the committee on international affairs in the upper house of Russia's parliament, said the kidnapping should not affect friendly relations between Russia and Iraq, as the diplomats had been abducted by international terrorists.

�

The Organization of the Islamic Conference, which has condemned the kidnapping as a crime against humanity and Islam, has pledged assistance in getting the diplomats released.

�

Russian President Putin also said he hoped SCO bodies could be employed in dealing with such incidents.

Resistance sharpshooter kills US soldier in al-Mundhiriyah.

�

In a dispatch posted at 12:50pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed a US soldier in the area of the complex in the middle of the town of al-Mundhiriyah, located on the Iranian border not far from Khanaqin in eastern Iraq.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Mundhiriyah as saying that several US soldiers were standing by a telephone booth at an American checkpoint for cars.� An American Marine among the soldiers was struck by an Iraqi sharpshooters bullet killing him instantly.

�

The correspondent reported that when he arrived on the scene of the attack, US troops were surrounding the area and completely closing the street, preventing him from getting to the place where the soldier was killed.� Owners of shops selling construction materials on the street who closed their stores and left the area after the attack, for fear that the Americans would arrest everyone nearby told the correspondent that the American soldier had been killed instantly before their eyes.

Ten more bodies of Sunni Iraqis tortured and murdered by pro-American Shii sectarians found in Baqubah.

�

In a dispatch posted at 6:55pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi puppet police discovered the bodies of 10 Sunni Iraqis who had been tortured and then shot to death in the city of Baqubah, about 65km northeast of Baghdad.

�

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Baqubah puppet police as saying that the 10 Sunni Iraqis worked in the al-Katun district in the west of the city.� The source said that preliminary investigations indicated that the men were lured away by a group of Shii sectarian pro-US militiamen who told them that they had a house that they wanted the men to build.� When the men went off with the sectarian gunmen, they were beaten, tortured, and murdered.

�

A medical source told Mafkarat al-Islam that the puppet police brought the 10 bodies to Baqubah General Hospital at 11am local time Thursday morning.� The source added that three of the men were brothers.� The source said that the arrival of these bodies brought to19 the total number of murdered Sunni bodies delivered to the hospital within 48 hours.

Resistance fighters kill two pro-American Badr Brigade militiamen.

In a dispatch posted at 10:25am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters shot and killed two members of the pro-American Shii sectarian Badr Brigade militia south of the city of Baqubah.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the al-Katun district of southern Baqubah as saying that Resistance fighters ambushed the two pro-American Badr Brigade gunmen and killed them.� The Resistance men then immediately left the scene.

Resistance bomb blasts US column near al-Miqdadiyah, reportedly killing four US troops.

In a dispatch posted at 10:17am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column on the road between the al-Jazirah area and al-Miqdadiyah, about 85km northeast of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Miqdadiyah as saying that a bomb planted by the side of the road to al-Jazirah blew up by a passing American column.� The blast completely destroyed a US Humvee, killing four American troops who were aboard it.

Resistance fighters kill three pro-American Shii sectarian gunmen in al-Madain Wednesday evening.

�

In a dispatch posted at 11:05am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters shot and killed three members of the pro-American Shi sectarian militia in the middle of al-Madain, 25km southeast of Baghdad.

�

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Madain as saying that the Resistance fighters ambushed the three pro-American gunmen who were implicated in the burning down of a Sunni mosque.� The Resistance men killed the sectarian gunmen and then left the area immediately.

Resistance bomb rips through US patrol in central al-Hillah, wounding four American troops.

In a dispatch posted at 4:35pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military patrol on the main road in the center of al-Hillah, about 100km south of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the al-Karamah neighborhood of central al-Hillah as saying that the bomb in their neighborhood went of by a patrol of five Humvees. The blast destroyed one of he vehicles, wounding four American troops aboard it, one of them seriously.

Al-Mahmudiyah.

High-explosive Resistance bomb blasts US troop transport in al-Mahmudiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 10:29am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a high-explosive Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column on the main road near the entrance to al-Mahmudiyah, about 30km south of Baghdad.

The al-Mahmudiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the city as saying that the bomb went off by a US military column, completely destroying a troop transport, killing or wounding the eight American troops who were aboard.

Resistance bomb blasts US column southwest of ar-Riyad.

In a dispatch posted at 2:07pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column on the Bayji ar-Riyad road southwest of Kirkuk.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in ar-Riyad, some 25km southwest of Kirkuk, as saying that the bomb on the road to Bayji went off by a column of several US Humvees and Bradely armored vehicles, destroying a Humvee and wounding two US troops.

Al-Hawijah.

Resistance bomb in al-Hawijah targets puppet police.

�

In a dispatch posted at 10:35am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by an Iraqi puppet police patrol in the al-Hawijah area west of the city of Kirkuk in northern Iraq.

�

The Kirkuk correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Hawijah as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the road in the middle of the city blew up as an Iraqi puppet police foot patrol was moving along the road.� The blast killed three members of the puppet police and wounded four others, two of them severely.

Four American troops reported killed in Resistance bombing in al-Mawsils Industrial Zone.

In a dispatch posted at 3:40pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column on the main road in the Industrial Zone of eastern al-Mawsil in northern Iraq.

The al-Mawsil correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the Industrial Zone as saying that the bomb exploded as a column of five armored vehicles and three Humvees.� The blast completely destroyed one US armored vehicle, killing the four American soldiers aboard, witnesses said.

Three US troops reported killed in Resistance bomb attack in western al-Mawsil.

�

In a dispatch posted at 2:21pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column on the main road in the al-Mawsil al-Jadidah area in western al-Mawsil.

The al-Mawsil correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Mawsil al-Jadidah as saying that the bomb completely destroyed a Humvee, killing three US soldiers and wounding two more of them.� At the time of reporting, American troops, under cover from US helicopter gun ships, were still surrounding the scene of the attack and preventing anyone from approaching.

The al-Mawsil correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the al-Hadar area as saying that Resistance fighters armed with machine guns ambushed the puppet police patrol, killing two puppet policemen and wounding two more of them.

US forces arrest Chairman of puppet Provincial Governing Council in Karbala.

In a dispatch posted at 11:30am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a regional spokesman had announced that US occupation forces had arrested a high-ranking puppet government official in Karbala Province in southern Iraq early on Thursday morning.

�

Reuters, as monitored by Mafkarat al-Islam, reported that US troops raided the house of the Provincial puppet governing council in Karbala, Aqil az-Zubaydi during the night, and took him away to an unknown destination.

�

The puppet government spokesman said that az-Zubaydi is a member of the Shii sectarian pro-American Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq (SCIRI) a political group that makes up a part of the dominant coalition in the puppet Parliament.
