It went off as a patrol of several American Humvees was passing by, completely destroying one Humvee and killing three US troops. Another two American solders were severely wounded in the explosion.
Ar-Ramadi.
Resistance bomb hidden in discarded animal refuse by butcher shops reportedly kills three US troops in ar-Ramadi early Monday afternoon.
In a dispatch posted at 8:10pm Makkah time Monday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that in a new and unique operation an Iraqi Resistance bomb that had been hidden in cow tripe exploded by a US Marine patrol on al-Qassabin (Butchers’) Street in northern ar-Ramadi at about 2pm local time Monday afternoon.
The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported an informed source in the Iraqi Resistance as saying that a Resistance bomb made of TNT, explosive enhancers, detonators, and sharp pieces of metal, placed in a large cow stomach and concealed in a pile of animal refuse discarded by butchers on the roadside, exploded by a patrol of US Marines who had only arrived from Kuwait less than two weeks ago.
The source said that the blast killed three of the American Marines and wounded four more of them, one of them severely. The correspondent reported that the fact that the roadside on Butchers Street was piled up every day with the discarded animal intestines and the remains of the carcasses of cattle and sheep helped disguise the explosive device in which was packed 2kg of TNT.
The source said that a Resistance unit that was detailed to observe the explosion verified that three of the Americans were killed and four more wounded. The correspondent wrote that after the attack US forces completely sealed off the area and began storming through all the butcher shops in the area, breaking doors off their hinges and ransacking everything but finding nothing of significance.
Seven US troops reported killed east of ar-Ramadi.
In a dispatch posted at 10:50am Makkah time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces ambushed a US military column on the main road in the al-Madiq neighborhood east of ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghdad.
The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Madiq as saying that the Resistance fighters first detonated two bombs that they had planted by a passing US column on the main road in the area. Afterwards Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons, pipe rockets, and sniper rifles attacked the column, destroying three Humvees, killing seven US troops and wounding five more of them.
US orders Resistance fighters to surrender, gives residents of ar-Ramadi until 15 June to leave their city or else face massive US offensive.
US occupation forces have issued an ultimatum to the city of ar-Ramadi, giving the city until June 15 to turn in all the Iraqi Resistance fighters in the city or face massive American military attack, Quds Press reported.
Leaflets dropped by US aircraft on a number of ar-Ramadi neighborhoods said that the residents of the city will have the opportunity to leave their town until 15 June. Resistance fighters must surrender, the American leaflets threatened, or face a massive American offensive.
US forces battled Iraqi Resistance fighters in various neighborhoods of the city on Saturday, 10 June, for several hours from shortly after midnight until the first hours of the morning. In the end, US forces backed away from the northern part of the city.

In a dispatch posted at 12:57pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the judge presiding at the American-run “trial” of Iraqi President Saddam Husayn and seven other Iraqi leaders had Barzan at-Tikriti, the former head of Iraqi Intelligence and half brother of Saddam Husayn, thrown out of the courtroom on Monday after he objected to the biased judge’s “dictatorial” actions.
The American CNN TV network, as monitored by Mafkarat al-Islam reported that lawyers witnessed as guards grabbed Barzan at-Tikriti and wrestled and beat him to get him out of the courtroom.
Monday’s 33rd session of the showcase “trial” began with defense lawyers arguing for more time to prepare and to call witnesses, many of whom have been intimidated by the American-installed puppet regime to try to keep them from testifying. One defense attorney pointed out that no witnesses in defense of his client, Taha Yasin Ramadan, had been able to appear in “court.”
The BBC reported that last week four defense witnesses were arrested after they accused the prosecutor of trying to bribe them into giving false evidence.
Al-Qa‘idah in the Land of the Two Rivers reportedly selects Abu Hamzah al-Muhajir as its new Amir following the death of Abu Mus‘ab az-Zarqawi.
In a dispatch posted at 6pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the al-Qa‘idah Organization in the Land of the Two Rivers announced on an Internet website that Abu Hamzah al-Muhajir had been named the new Amir of the organization following the killing of Abu Mus‘ab az-Zarqawi.

The statement said that the Consultative Council of al-Qa‘idah in the Land of the Two Rivers had unanimously agreed on Abu Hamzah al-Muhajir as the new Amir. The statement said that Abu Hamzah was “an outstanding brother” who was experienced in the jihad and well-versed in religious knowledge. The statement wished that Abu Hamzah might “complete that which Shaykh Abu Mus‘ab began.”
Al-Muhajir is a personality unknown in the west whose name was not on the list of those expected by western “al-Qa‘idah experts” to be chosen to succeed az-Zarqawi.
Puppet Major General caught while involved in death squad murders says he took orders personally from former puppet “Interior Minister” Sulagh, and that current puppet “Iraqi Prime Minister” Nuri al-Maliki repeatedly ordered him to shell Sunni residential neighborhoods in Baghdad.
Informed sources in the puppet “Iraqi Defense Ministry” have disclosed that the puppet Commander of Emergency Forces in the Baghdad district of ar-Rusafah, who was arrested about two months ago on charges of leading death squads, has confessed to numerous murders and assassinations, saying that he received orders from the former puppet “Interior Minister” Bayan Jabr Sulagh.
Major General Hanin, the puppet Commander of Emergency Forces in ar-Rusafah, was arrested two months ago when a force of 20 puppet “Interior Ministry” cars were detained by other puppet security forces as they were attempting to abduct and murder people. Major General Hanin told investigators that he received his orders directly from the then US-installed puppet “Interior Minister” Bayan Jabr Sulagh, a leader of the pro-American Shi‘i sectarian Badr Brigades.
General Hanin confessed that he personally took part in attacks on Sunni mosques in ar-Rusafah in which the mosques were burned. He also said that he would get some of his men to put on the black clothing associated with the Jaysh al-Mahdi militia of Shi‘i religious leader Muqtada as-Sadr to implicate that organization ミ which at times take anti-US positions ミ in the sectarian terror, while covering up the involvement of the puppet regime’s security forces.
The sources say that Major General Hanin said that the current puppet “Prime Minister” Nuri al-Maliki personally had him bombard Sunni residential neighborhoods in Baghdad on more than one occasion. Hanin also said that he had carried out murders and arrests of dozens of Iraqis solely on the basis of their religious affiliation, among them Imams of Sunni mosques and members of Sunni mosque congregations.
The General said that there are 16 secret prisons being operated by the puppet “Interior Ministry” in Baghdad alone, most of them, he said, in ar-Rusafah.
Major General Hanin also confessed to having actively participated in the massive forging of ballots that characterized the last US-sponsored “elections” in the country. Hanin said that he ordered that trucks packed with false ballots be guarded on their way to polling stations. He also confessed to ordering his men to vote time after time in all the polling places in Baghdad, from Madinat as-Sadr to al-A‘zamiyah, taking advantage of the fact that his forces were in charge of security at the polling stations.
The sources disclosed that Major General Hanin said that he and his troops in ar-Rusafah in cooperation with the pro-American Shi‘i sectarian Badr Brigades, personally took part in driving thousands of Sunni families out of their homes in ar-Rusafah, in particular in the al-Husayniyah area, the Ur neighborhood, on Palestine Street, and in the district known as Madinat as-Sadr.
General Hanin’s testimony is yet one more indication that the effort to spark sectarian civil war in Iraq has been driven from the highest levels of the US occupation authorities and their puppet officials.
