Troops' families launch anti-war campaign
The families of some of the British soldiers serving in Iraq have launched a campaign to bring them home.
It is the first time such a call has been made by the relatives of troops still on active duty in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Some of their representatives are addressing the annual conference of the Stop the War Coalition in London.
The campaigners say their relatives have been sent to Iraq to fight an illegal war on the basis of information about weapons of mass destruction which has turned out to be false.
They do not claim to represent the majority of the 8,500 British troops or their families but they describe morale among some soldiers as low.
The families have started a petition, which they say hundreds of families have signed, demanding British troops leave Iraq.
They are gathering more signatures of what the organisers describe as the largest annual conference of the Stop the War Coalition in London so far, with more than 600 delegates and observers discussing their campaign.
