Resistance bombards US headquarters in al-Haqlaniyah near al-Hadithah.
In a dispatch posted at 12:27pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired four 82mm mortar rounds into the al-Haqlaniyah Primary School building that the American military has taken over and turned into their headquarters northeast of al-Hadithah, about 300km west of Baghdad.
The al-Hadithah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Haqlaniyah as saying that the US-occupied headquarters, scoring direct hits and sending plumes of smoke rising into the sky.

The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported commanders of al-Qa‘idah as saying that the statement would “clarify everything” regarding the alleged killing of their organization’s commander, Ahmad Fadil Nazal al-Khalayilah, also known as Abu Mus‘ab az-Zarqawi.

Resistance sharpshooter kills puppet “Iraqi National Guard” soldier in western Baghdad.
In a dispatch posted at 6:50pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed an Iraqi puppet “National Guard” soldier in the al-Khadra’ neighborhood of western Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Khadra’ as saying that the puppet “National Guardsman” was on duty at a temporary check point when he took a direct hit from an Iraqi Resistance sharpshooter’s bullet, killing him.
Deputy Commander of al-Qa‘idah in Iraq announces death of Abu Mus‘ab az-Zarqawi at dawn Thursday.
In a dispatch posted at 3:45pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a communiqu signed by the Information Department of the Consultative Council of the Mujahideen of Iraq confirmed the news that the leader of the al-Qa‘idah organization in Iraq, Abu Mus‘ab az-Zarqawi had been killed in an American air raid on a home in which he and seven aides were meeting in the village of Habhab, north of Ba‘qubah at dawn on Thursday.
Mafkarat al-Islam reported the Deputy Commander of al-Qa‘idah in Iraq, Abu ‘Abd ar-Rahman al-‘Iraqi, as saying in the communiqu ﾐ which circulated on the al-Hisbah website ﾐ “We wish to inform you that our Shaykh the Mujahid Abu Mus ‘ab az-Zarqawi has been martyred in the land of the Two Rivers.”
The communiqu stressed that the Resistance operations against the occupation in Iraq will be continuing, saying “the death of our leaders is life for us and will only increase our determination to continue the jihad until the word of God is supreme.” The communiqu renewed its oath of allegiance to the leader of al-Qa‘idah, Usamah bin Ladin.
The communiqu pledged that the organization would continue to establish God’s law in the Land of the Two Rivers and added, “We say to our Shaykh and Amir Usamah bin Ladin that your army in the al-Qa‘idah in the Land of the Two Rivers are proceeding along the same path that our Shaykh Abu Mus ‘ab az-Zarqawi drew up for us.”

In a bulletin posted at 3:45pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a car bomb exploded killing or wounding dozens of Shi‘i sectarians who had gathered in the so-called “Madinat as-Sadr” district to celebrate the American air raid that reportedly killed an Iraqi Resistance commander.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a Resistance fida’i fighter infiltrated the gathering and blew himself up, killing more than 20 and wounding 30 more of the pro-occupation demonstrators, who had assembled to celebrate the American claim that Abu Mus‘ab az-Zarqawi, the head of al-Qa‘idah in Iraq, one of the many Iraqi Resistance organizations, had been killed.
Puppet regime declares high alert in Baghdad and other provinces.
In a bulletin posted at 2:30pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier the US-installed Iraqi puppet regime had declared a state of maximum alert in Baghdad and five other provinces in occupied Iraq.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation troops and Iraqi puppet army forces and puppet police have deployed in extremely large numbers in Baghdad. The alert followed announcements by the puppet regime that the leader of one of the many Resistance organizations ﾐ Abu Mus‘ab az-Zarqawi of al-Qa‘idah in the Land of the Two Rivers ﾐ had been killed in an American air attack.
Mysterious car bomb kills 12 civilians in southeastern Baghdad.
In a dispatch posted at 2:25pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a mysterious car bomb exploded in a popular market in the Baghdad al-Jadidah district in the southeast of the occupied Iraqi capital.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Baghdad al-Jadidah as saying that an explosives-laden car that had been parked by the side of the main road in the market was detonated by remote control, killing 12 civilians and wounding 30 more of them.
In contrast to Iraqi Resistance attacks, which have clear and defined targets ﾐ occupation troops or armed forces, officials, or collaborators with the US-installed puppet regime ﾐ this attack appeared targeted exclusively on civilians.
Such mysterious bombings are widely viewed as a part of an Anglo-American effort to rescue their failing fortunes in Iraq by sparking a sectarian civil war in the country enabling them to fulfill their plans of partitioning the country along ethnic and religious lines.
Al-Qa‘idah launches manhunt for Jordanian thought to have informed US forces on az-Zarqawi’s whereabouts.
In a dispatch posted at 1:10pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that members of the al-Qa‘idah Organization in the Land of the Two Rivers had launched an intensive manhunt for a Jordanian who had been in the company of Abu Mus‘ab az-Zarqawi just one night ago. It is believed that it was that Jordanian who gave the information on the whereabouts of az-Zarqawi to the US forces
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported members of al-Qa‘idah as saying that the Jordanian came to Iraq two months ago and joined al-Qa‘idah. Abu Mus‘ab az-Zarqawi reportedly brought the Jordanian close to him over the ensuing months.
The correspondent reported that he was unable to obtain any further details, including answers to questions regarding why the manhunt had been launched when the truth or falsehood of the puppet “Prime Minister’s” claim that az-Zarqawi had been killed was not yet confirmed. In his morning press conference, the Iraqi puppet “Prime minister” said that the killing of az-Zarqawi had been carried out thanks to the contribution of informers.

Two US troops reported killed in Resistance bombing in northern Bayji.
In a dispatch posted at 4:25pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol on the main road in northern Bayji, about 200km north of Baghdad.
The Bayji correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the bomb blew us as a patrol of two armored vehicles and four Humvees drove past. The explosion destroyed one Humvee, killing two US troops and wounding two more of them.
At-Tarimiyah.
Resistance bomb reportedly kills US soldier north of at-Tarimiyah.
In a dispatch posted at 3:15pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column in at-Tarimiyah, about 30km north of Baghdad on the road leading north to Balad.
The at-Tarimiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb by the side of the road exploded by a passing American column destroying a Bradley armored vehicle and killing one US soldier and wounding three more of them, one of them severely.
Yathrib.
Resistance mounts two attacks on US forces in Yathrib area within 24 hours.
In a dispatch posted at 10:39am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters mounted two attacks on US forces in Yathrib, about 75km north of Baghdad, within the previous 24 hours.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Yathrib as saying that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol on the main road to ad-Dujayl, completely destroying a Humvee and killing or wounding the five US troops aboard it.
In the second attack, Resistance fighters fired two medium-range Grad rockets into the US-occupied al-Bakr Air Base ﾐ dubbed Camp Anaconda by the US occupation forces, scoring direct hits on the facility and sending plumes of smoke rising into the sky.
Diyala Province.

In a dispatch posted at 9:45pm Makkah time Thursday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that their Ba‘qubah correspondent had been able to get to the Habhab area after the US occupation forces lifted the blockade in the district which lies north of Ba‘qubah and is where an American air raid killed Abu Mus‘ab az-Zarqawi at dawn Thursday.
The Ba‘qubah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported from the ruins of the house where az-Zarqawi and seven of his aides were meeting that local residents of the area said that the Americans launched two rocket attacks at the house that were so powerful that they shook the whole city.
The correspondent reported that the destruction wrecked by the Americans on the house where az-Zarqawi was meeting also destroyed more than 50 nearby homes. Houses located more than 500 meters away from the az-Zarqawi building suffered heavy damage, particularly during the second American strike.
Eyewitnesses said that smoke enveloped the whole area for more than four hours after the American assaults. One man who lives in the area and observed the Americans recovering the bodies from the house told the correspondent: “It is a mark of shame upon us the people of this city that one of the lions of God was in our land and we were sitting by doing nothing.”
The resident said that the photographs of az-Zarqawi’s body broadcast by the media seemed incredible: “I was surprised by the pictures that showed his face intact because the strike that targeted the house even melted the steel on the roof of the building and the steel in the window frames. All the bodies were completely charred [when they pulled them out of the ruins] so how could the body of az-Zarqawi be intact and looking as if he had died in bed?”
A source in the Iraqi puppet army who asked not to be identified told Mafkarat al-Islam that at 10am Thursday morning there was an attempt to steal the body of Abu Mus‘ab az-Zarqawi from inside the headquarters of the puppet “Joint Coordination” office in Diyala, but the attempt failed. The source offered no further details.
US imposes curfew starting at 4pm on Diyala Province.
In a dispatch posted at pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the US occupation forces and its local puppet regime had imposed a curfew in Diyala Province beginning at 4pm local time Thursday afternoon.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported sources in the puppet provincial administration as saying that the measure was taken in anticipation of Resistance attacks in response to the American killing of Abu Mus‘ab az-Zarqawi.
Columns of puppet Iraqi army troops deployed in large numbers in the Ba‘qubah, capital of Diyala Province located about 65km northeast of Baghdad, and American patrols swarmed the streets

Resistance fighters assault puppet army headquarters in Buhriz.
In a dispatch posted at 10:35am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces attacked the headquarters of the Iraqi puppet army in Buhriz, just south of Ba‘qubah, about 65km northeast of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons, pipe rockets and mortars attacked the puppet army headquarters, killing four puppet troops and wounding eight of them. Two puppet army vehicles were destroyed.
Al-‘Azim.
Resistance bomb kills three Iraqi puppet “National Guards” Wednesday evening.
In a dispatch posted at 10:52am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by an Iraqi puppet army patrol in the south of al-‘Azim, about 100km north of Baghdad on Wednesday evening.
The al-‘Azim correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb planted by the side of the main road in the city went off by a puppet “Iraqi National Guard” patrol, destroying a patrol vehicle and killing three puppet “Guards” and wounding three more of them.

Al-Yusufiyah.
Resistance bomb blasts US column south of al-Yusufiyah.
In a dispatch posted at 5:55pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column near al-Yusufiyah, about 30km southwest of Baghdad, on the road to al-Mahmudiyah
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Yusufiyah as saying that a bomb that had been planted near the ‘Awwayrij Industrial Area south of al-Yusufiyah blew up by a passing American column. The explosion destroyed a US armored vehicle, wounding four American troops who were aboard it.

Al-Mawsil.
Resistance bomb disabled minesweeper, reportedly killing American soldier in western al-Mawsil.
In a dispatch posted at 5:47pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military patrol on the main road in the al-Intisar neighborhood of western al-Mawsil in northern Iraq.
The al-Mawsil correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Intisar as saying that the bomb went off by a patrol of several American Humvees and mine sweepers, disabling a mine sweeper and killing one American soldier and wounding three more of them.
Resistance assaults puppet police check point in northwest al-Mawsil.
In a dispatch posted at 2:35pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked an Iraqi puppet police patrol on the main road near the northwest car garage in al-Mawsil.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that Resistance fighters equipped with light arms attacked a temporary check point set up by an Iraqi puppet police patrol damaging one patrol vehicle and killing one puppet policeman. Two more puppet policemen were wounded in the attack.
