Fierce fighting breaks out in ar-Ramadi Tuesday afternoon. US air strike kills six civilians.

Fierce fighting breaks out in ar-Ramadi Tuesday afternoon. US air strike kills six civilians.
In a dispatch posted at 5:10pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that fierce fighting had erupted between Iraqi Resistance forces and US occupation troops in the al-Malab (playing field) area of central ar-Ramadi.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the fighting between the sides was at very close quarters with only some 50 meters separating them. At the time of reporting, US troops were firing back fiercely against Resistance incoming fire.
The correspondent wrote that in the last minutes prior to his filing his report, US warplanes rocketed the as-Sikak neighborhood again. Preliminary reports indicated that the American attack had killed six civilians, three of them women and children.
At the time of reporting, dozens of Resistance men were embattled with US occuapation troops in the al-Malab area.
Al-Qaim.
Resistance batters US headquarters in al-Qaim with mortar shells.
In a dispatch posted at 1:55pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired twelve 82mm mortar rounds at the US occupation headquarters located in western al-Qaim.
The al-Qaim correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the city as saying that the US headquarters in the city, which is located near the Syrian border in western Iraq, was the target of a Resistance bombardment that sent smoke billowing up from the facility for two hours afterwards. American helicopters were seen hovering at low altitude over the facility and surrounding areas.

US soldier reported killed in Resistance bombing in Hit.
In a dispatch posted at 9:55am Makkah time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol on the main road in the middle of Hit, about 140km northwest of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Hit as saying that the bomb exploded on the road leading to the Youth Center, a facility that the US troops have taken over and turned into one of their headquarters in the center of town. The blast destroyed an American Humvee, killing one US soldier and wounding three more of them.

Resistance ambush and car bombing leave 19 puppet police dead in eastern Baghdad Tuesday afternoon.
In a dispatch posted at 8pm Makkah time Tuesday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had delivered a powerful blow to Iraqi puppet police in Baghdad on Tuesday afternoon.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that a detachment of about five Iraqi Resistance fighters opened fire on a Kia car carrying a number of puppet policemen in the at-Tujjar neighborhood of eastern Baghdad at about 5pm local time Tuesday afternoon. Five puppet policemen, two of them officers were killed in that attack.
Then, about 15 minutes later, as other puppet police gathered at the scene of the attack an Iraqi Resistance car bomb suddenly exploded in the middle of the crowd, killing 14 more puppet policemen. Among the dead was the Assistant Director of the puppet police station in the at-Tujjar neighborhood.
Twenty-five more puppet police were wounded in the explosion, the source said. Another eight civilians whose houses were near the scene of the explosion were injured, according to the puppet police source.
The correspondent reported that the number of Iraqi puppet police and puppet army men killed on Tuesday alone rose to 41 following this latest attack. Another 53 of them were wouned, 15 of them severely.
Resistance bomb blasts US column in Hur Rajab district of Baghdad.
In a dispatch posted at 2:25pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column in the Hur Rajab area near ad-Durah in southern Baghdad
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Hur Rajab as saying that the bomb, which had been planted next to al-Qantarah road which leads to the Abu Dashir area blew up, disabling a Humvee. The vehicle was seen with fire blazing in its rear section. American forces hurried to close off the area of the attack, preventing the correspondent from obtaining information on the nature or extent of US casualties.
Five more bodies of Sunni victims of pro-American Shii sectarian death squads found around Baghdad.
In a dispatch posted at 2:30pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the bodies of five more Sunni victims of pro-American Shii sectarian death squads were found in various parts of Baghdad on Tuesday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Center for Forensic Medicine in Baghdad as saying that the five bodies were found bound and blindfolded in the areas of ash-Shulah in northwestern Baghdad and in the southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah. All were Sunni Iraqis who had been arrested by unknown persons last week. All the bodies were in the morgue pending recovery by their next of kin.
American-sponsored show trial of Iraqi President and seven other prisoners of war continues Tuesday
Mafkarat al-Islam reported Tuesday that the American sponsored trial of Iraqi President Saddam Husayn and seven other Iraqi leaders being held as prisoners by the occupation resumed on Tuesday with only three of the prisoners present. Iraqi President Saddam Husayn boycotted the session.
The claims by the American-backed prosecution currently center on the death of 148 individuals who were executed for their involvement in a plot to assassinate the Iraqi President in 1982.
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the 25th session of the showcase trial under the chairmanship of US-installed judge Rauf Rashid Abd ar-Rahman, who once again displayed his active bias on Monday by accusing the Iraqi President of leading an anti-Shii attack on the putschists in ad-Dujayl in the 1980s, was devoted on Tuesday to hearing testimony of witnesses for the defense. The previous session of the showcase proceedings on Monday heard statements by witnesses in favor of the pro-American accusers. All those accusers presented their testimony anonymously from behind curtains.
Testimony on Tuesday is expected to focus on the cases of Abdallah Kazim Ruwayd, his son Mazhar Abdallah Kazim Ruwayd, and Muhammad Azzawi.
Another session of the show trial, which began on 19 October 2005, is to be held on Wednesday.
Resistance fighters kill three pro-American Badr Brigade militiamen.
In a dispatch posted at 12:20pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance men shot and killed three members of the pro-American Shii sectarian militias in the southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in ad-Durah as saying that Resistance fighters equipped with light arms attacked the three Badr Brigade militiamen in the at-Tumah area of ad-Durah. After killing the pro-American Badr Brigade gunmen, the Resistance fighters left the scene having suffered no casualties.
Resistance bomb blasts US column in Baghdads az-Zafaraniyah.
In a dispatch posted at 12:10pm Makkah time midday Tuesday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column on the main road in the az-Zafaraniyah district of southeastern Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in az-Zafaraniyah as saying that the bomb destroyed a Humvee, wounding four American troops, two of them severely.
Resistance blasts Green Zone with mortars late Tuesday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 11:05am Makkah time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier, Iraqi Resistance fighters fired four mortar rounds into the area around the Republican Palace in Baghdad the high-security zone set up by the American occupation and dubbed by them the Green Zone.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the mortar shells blasted into the southern parts of the Zone where the old Abbasi palace is located overlooking the banks of the Tigris River, the building which served a American pro-consul L. Paul Bremers headquarters when he was in charge of occupied Iraq.
A reliable source told Mafkarat al-Islam that the barrage struck a blow at the ranks of one of the American mercenary security companies, also destroying parts of the building they were occupying.
The correspondent noted that anyone on Abu Nuwas street in downtown Baghdad could clearly see the plumes of smoke rising from the stricken American headquarters.

Resistance bomb wounds US troops on patrol in Samarra.
In a dispatch posted at 12:15pm Makkah time midday Tuesday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol on the main road in the middle of Samarra, about 120km north of Baghdad.
The Samarra correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the city as saying that the bomb went off by the US patrol on the road to the al-Muallimin neighborhood in the middle of the city. The blast damaged a patrol vehicle, wounding three US troops, the witnesses said.
A source in the Samarra puppet police who asked not to be identified said that the Americans arrested three Iraqis after the explosion for no reason other than that they were nearby when the attack occurred.

In a dispatch posted at 10:10am Makkah time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by an Iraqi puppet police patrol in the middle of Samarra.
The Samarra correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the city as saying that the bomb completely destroyed a patrol vehicle, killing four puppet policemen who were aboard it.
Yathrib.
Resistance carries out two attacks on US forces in area around Yathrib, leaving at lesast three US troops reported killed.
In a dispatch posted at 9:40am Makkah time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces mounted two attacks on US troops in the city of Yathrib, about 75km north of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Yathrib as saying that an Iraqi Resistance bomb by a US military column on the road to the al-Bu Hishmah area on Tuesday morning.
The witnesses said that the explosion completely destroyed a Humvee, killing three US troops and wounding two more of them.
In a second attack, Iraqi Resistance forces fired three heavy 120mm mortar rounds into the US-occupied al-Bakr Airbase in Yathrib, striking the base directly and sending plumes of smoke rising into the sky.

Resistance blasts joint US-Iraqi puppet army base with mortar barrage.
In a dispatch posted at 10am Makkah time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces unleashed a barrage of twelve 82mm and 60mm mortar rounds at a headquarters jointly occupied by US and Iraqi puppet army troops in the city of al-Madain, 25km southeast of Baghdad.
The al-Madain correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the joint headquarters took direct hits from the mortar shells, which sent pillars of smoke billowing up from the facility. American Medevac helicopters were observed landing in the joint base following the bombardment.

Resistance mortars blast US base in Kirkuk International Airport early Tuesday afternoon.
In a dispatch posted at 3:50pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces bombarded the US headquarters set up in Kirkuk International airport at about 1:30pm local time Tuesday afternoon.
The Kirkuk correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that five mortar rounds blasted into the US-occupied airport, sending plumes of smoke rising into the sky from the western part of the facility. Two helicopters were observed hovering over the base after the attack.

Resistance mortars slam into US occupation headquarters in al-Hawijah.
In a dispatch posted at 12:30pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired six 82mm mortar rounds into the headquarters of US occupation forces in the area around al-Hawijah, southwest of Kirkuk in northern Iraq.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Hawijah as saing that the mortar shells blasted intot the American-occupied al-Bakarah base in al-Hawijah, sending plumes of smoke rising into the sky.

Turkman newspaper in al-Mawsil says US puppet Prime Minister designate guilty of murdering 10 local residents of his home town in 2003.
The newspaper ash-Shabab (Youth) published by a Turkman group in the northern Iraqi city of al-Mawsil has published an article reporting that US occupation forces have in their possession materials indicating that US-backed Prime Minister designate Nuri al-Maliki was personally guilty of the murder of civilians.
According to a report carried by Quds Press, the article in ash-Shabab reported that the Americans have registers and testimony from the city of al-Hindiyah Nuri al-Malikis home town saying that he personally executed more than 10 local residents and officials just after the American invasion of Iraq in April 2003.
The article said that the 10 individuals were arrested by militiamen of the pro-American Shii sectarian Dawah Party, of which al-Maliki is a prominent leader. All of the 10 were members of the Arab Baath Socialist Party, army officers, or policemen. Some were Arab Sunnis of the al-Jannabiyin tribe. The newspaper asserted that he Americans had been retaining the evidence so that they can bring it out at any time that they might wish to get rid of al-Maliki. The newspaper maintained that al-Maliki was aware of the fact, implying that he would avoid doing anything to arouse the Americans against him.

Two more Iraqis murdered by pro-American death squads in Karbala.
In a dispatch posted at 11:40am Makkah time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that pro-American death squad gunmen assassinated two Iraqis in the city of Karbala on Monday evening.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Iraqi puppet police in Karbala announced that unknown persons wearing Iraqi puppet police uniforms raided two houses in the city on Monday evening and killed two men. One of the victims was an officer in the air force of the Republic of Iraq and the other a high-ranking member of the Arab Socialist Baath Party.
The puppet police source, who refused to reveal his name, told Mafkarat al-Islam that the gunmen raided the house of pilot and Brigadier General Kazim Yahya, who was a squadron commander during the Iran-Iraq war, and shot and killed him at the door of his house. Yahya was a Shii Muslim but that did not save him from the pro-American death squads.
Then minutes later shots rang out in the al-Askari neighborhood of Karbala near the General Yahyas home. In the second incident, the pro-American killers assassinated Tahir al-Hilfi, a high-ranking member of the Arab Baath Socialist Party and the former General Director of a state seed distribution company.
The source in the puppet police claimed that there were so many militias in the city of Karbala that charging anyone with the murders would be impossible.

British forces increase presence in al-Basrah.
In a dispatch posted at 8:30pm Makkah time Tuesday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that British troops deployed in large numbers in the streets of various parts of the southern Iraqi city of al-Basrah on Tuesday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported seeing dozens of British armored vehicles cruising the areas of az-Zubayr, Abu al-Khasib, al-Hayyaniyah, and parts of the north of the city, in particular the road that links al-Basrah with Baghdad.
The British troops have set up checkpoints on numerous streets in the city and are stopping motorists and inspecting their identity papers.
The buildup followed confrontations between rival Shi sectarian groups following remarks by the puppet governor Muhammad al-Waili in which he accused representatives of Shii cleric Ayatallah Ali as-Sistani of being behind the death squad activities in the city.
With tension building between the rival Shii centers, Quds Press reported that the supporters of as-Sistani were responding by gathering all the documentation they could find to prove that the puppet governor al-Waili was guilty of corruption and malfeasance, including allowing Resistance fighters to slip over the border into the area.
