Three US troops reported killed in Resistance bombing near al-Qaim.
In a dispatch posted at 3:15pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in the at-Tanaf area near al-Ubaydi in the area of al-Qaim in far western Iraq near the Syrian border.
The al-Qaim correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source at the fuel station near where the explosion occurred as saying that a US Humvee was virtually destroyed and three US troops were killed and two more severely injured in the blast.
Upon arriving on the scene, the correspondent observed an American helicopter emblazoned with a red cross landing near the scene.
A medical source in the at-Tanaf area told the correspondent that one Iraqi woman had been killed and her child wounded when US troops responded to the bomb explosion by shooting indiscriminately all around the area.
Ar-Ramadi.
US warplane rockets village mosque, killing four worshippers.
In a bulletin posted at 6:35pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while before US warplanes had rocketed a mosque west of ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghdad.
The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US fighter-bombers targeted the only mosque in the village of az-Zankurah, located west of ar-Ramadi on a peninsula of land surrounded on three sides by the Euphrates River. The rocket attack destroyed most of the building and killed four worshippers who were inside at the time.
Local residents said that had the Americans attacked just 15 minutes earlier they might have killed 50 peasant children and youths who were gathered there for Quran study with the Imam. Fortunately all had left shortly before the American aircraft appeared.
At the time of reporting, villagers were helping first aid workers in lifting rubble in the wrecked building in an effort to extract the bodies of the four worshippers killed in the attack.

Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons then assaulted the facility. Three Iraqi puppet National Guards were killed in the attack and another three of them wounded.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Habbaniyah as saying that the rockets blasted directly into the US headquarters, sending plumes of smoke rising into the sky.
Baghdad.
Resistance groups with Shii names burst on the scene as Resistance spreads to the Iraqi south.
New Iraqi Resistance groups with distinctly Shii names have begun to make their appearance in attacks and video announcements, joining their Iraqi Sunni brothers in the battle against the Anglo-American occupation. The appearance of the groups within the last week or so has followed the widely-publicized shooting down of a British helicopter in al-Basrah.
Quds Press reported on Sunday that a video that appeared on an Internet website announced that the Brigades of the Imam al-Kazim had detonated a bomb by a US patrol in the Sab al-Bur area northwest of Baghdad. The accompanying communiqu by the group claimed that their attack had left seven American soldiers dead.
In the city of an-Nasiriyah in southern Iraqs Dhi Qar province, a Resistance group calling itself the Brigades of the Imam Ali broadcast a video showing the destruction of an Italian military vehicle. The communiqu issued by the group and read on the film announced that all the Italian occupation troops aboard the vehicle had been killed.
An organization called the Brigades of the Imam al-Hadi announced that it had fired four Katyusha rockets at the US base in the ar-Rustamiyah area of southeastern Baghdad. The group broadcast a video showing their fighters firing off the Katyushas.
Meanwhile the Brigades of the Imam al-Askari declared that they had detonated a bomb on the road between Baghdad and Kirkuk, destroying an American military vehicle.
All the above groups, which appeared on the Iraqi scene in the last week or so, carry names that are distinctly Shii. But in their presentation and activities they appear to be following closely the familiar path of the well-known, largely Sunni, Iraqi Resistance organizations with their bold and relentless attacks on US, British, and other occupation forces in the country. Like their Sunni brothers they film many of their attacks and then upload the videos with voiceovers reading communiqus about their exploits on Islamic websites, reporting and popularizing their activities. Quds Press reported that it was not unlikely, given the similarities, that there is in fact coordination between the Shii and Sunni Resistance groups.
The Shii Resistance groups have emerged on the heels of the shooting down of a British helicopter in al-Basrah on Saturday, 6 May an attack in which the Jaysh al-Mahdi of Muqtada as-Sadr has denied involvement.
In another development on the battlefield, Quds Press indicated that large-yield bombs were being used in southern Iraq in large numbers in recent days. There have also been suggestions that a Strela anti-aircraft missile might have been employed in shooting down the British helicopter on May 6. The employment of such ordnance is believed by some observers to point to Iranian arms sources.
Quds Press indicated that the sudden appearance of the Shii Resistance groups coupled with their apparent access to powerful stocks of weapons suggests that southern Iraq, hitherto a relatively peaceful part of the country for the US and its satellites, might soon become markedly hotter for the occupation troops.
Bodies of nine more Sunni victims of puppet regime death squads found on Sunday.
In a dispatch posted at 7:15pm Makkah time Sunday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi puppet police had found the bodies of nine Sunnis murdered apparently by puppet security services in the south Baghdad district of al-Bayya and the southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah on Sunday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that five bodies were found in a garbage dump and four others were discovered in an old vacant car repair garage. The bodies were blindfolded and bound.
The source said that the first five bodies were identified by a regular worshipper at one of the Sunni mosques who confirmed that they worshipped at his mosque and had been arrested a week ago by the puppet Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir) when they left the mosque.
Relatives who hurried to the hospital morgue following the announcement that more bodies had been discovered identified the other four bodies.

The correspondent reported that the explosion destroyed one car in the motorcade and two vehicles belonging to the puppet police. Seven Iraqi puppet troops, including two of the Ministers body guards were killed and eight others wounded.
Mysterious bomb explodes in popular market, killing six civilians.
In a dispatch posted at 2:05pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a mysterious bomb exploded in the Diyala Bridge area of southern Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the Diyala Bridge area as saying that a bomb that had been planted in the middle of a popular market in the area exploded, killing six civilians and wounding 16 more.
In contrast to Iraqi Resistance attacks, which have clear and defined targets occupation troops or armed forces, officials, or collaborators with the US-installed puppet regime the attack in the market appeared targeted exclusively on civilians.
Such mysterious attacks are widely viewed as a part of an Anglo-American effort to rescue their failing fortunes in Iraq by sparking a sectarian civil war in the country enabling them to fulfill their plans of partitioning the country along ethnic and religious lines.

Eyewitnesses in the area south of at-Tuz told Mafkarat al-Islam that the bomb blew up as the puppet Ministers motorcade drove past.
The witnesses said that the explosion destroyed one vehicle in the procession, killing three of the puppet Ministers bodyguards and wounding two more.
Later, the Kuwaiti News Agency (KUNA) reported that two bodyguards were killed in the attack, which occurred when the motorcade came under attack as it was on its way to Baghdad in the area of al-Azim, about 100km north of Baghdad, on the road from al-Khalis to Kirkuk. According to a security source cited by KUNA, Resistance fighters attacked the motorcade after the explosion of the bomb, killing two bodyguards.
The puppet Iraqi Foreign Ministry denied that Zibari was in the motorcade at the time of the attack, claiming that the officials in the puppet regime usually fly from one destination to another.
