? Four US troops reported killed in Resistance assault on American camp near ar-Ramadi Wednesday afternoon.

In a dispatch posted at 3:40pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters assaulted a US military camp at Kilometer 5 southwest of ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the area as saying that a short while earlier Resistance fighters armed with mortars and rockets as well as light and medium weapons attacked the US camp in ‘Ulwat ar-Rashid in the Kilometer 5 area, completely destroying one American tank and disabling a Humvee. The correspondent reported that four US troops were killed and five more of them wounded in the Resistance attack.

Al-Fallujah.

? Resistance fighter blows himself up at gates of al-Fallujah puppet police station, killing 15 and wounding 30 puppet police volunteers.

In a dispatch posted at 10:10am Makkah time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter blew himself up amidst a crowd of Iraqi puppet police in the middle of al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad.

The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that a Resistance fighter wearing an explosive belt walked into a gathering of puppet police at the gate of the puppet police station in the middle of town and blew himself up at about 8:15am local time Wednesday morning.

Later, news dispatches put the number of puppet police volunteers killed in the attack at 15 with another 30 having been wounded.

Al-Fallujah was a city in which some local Sunni religious and tribal personalities had begun encouraging local men to violate the Resistance opposition to collaborating with the occupation and its puppet institutions and to join the local puppet police force. The Wednesday attack was a message from the Iraqi Resistance against such reconciliation with the occupation.

? Resistance pounds US, Iraqi puppet army headquarters in ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah with heavy mortars Tuesday.

In a dispatch posted at 1:10pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces bombarded US and puppet army headquarters in ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah, 7km southwest of al-Fallujah city, on Tuesday.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah as saying that Resistance forces fired eight heavy 120mm mortar shells into the headquarters of US and Iraqi puppet forces, scoring direct hits on their targets.

? Resistance bombards headquarters of US, Iraqi puppet army troops in Hit.

In a dispatch posted at 10:50am Makkah time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired five 82mm mortar rounds into a headquarters used jointly by US and Iraqi puppet army troops in the middle of Hit, about 140km northwest of Baghdad.

The Hit correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the barrage destroyed large parts of the former Teachers Training Institute, a facility in the middle of town that the US and Iraqi puppet forces have taken over and turned into their local headquarters. The barrage sent plumes of smoke rising into the air from all parts of the facility.

Abu Ghurayb.

? Four US troops reported killed in Resistance bombing in Abu Ghurayb.

In a dispatch posted at 2:35pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol on the road to az-Zaydan to the south of Abu Ghurayb, about 30km west of Baghdad.

The Abu Ghurayb correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the bomb went off by a US patrol on a farm road to az-Zaydan, completely destroying a Humvee and killing four US troops who were aboard it.

? Mysterious bomb blasts Shi‘i shoppers in Baghdad market as US presses effort to partition Iraq on sectarian lines.

In a dispatch posted at 2:15pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a mysterious bomb exploded in the predominantly Shi‘i ash-Shu‘lah section of western Baghdad, killing one civilian and wounding 14 more.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in ash-Shu‘lah as saying that a bomb that had been planted in the middle of the popular an-Nasr market blew up.

In contrast to Iraqi Resistance attacks, which have clear and defined targets ﾐ occupation troops or armed forces, officials, or collaborators with the US-installed puppet regime ﾐ this attack appeared targeted exclusively on civilians.

Such mysterious attacks are widely viewed as a part of an Anglo-American effort to rescue their failing fortunes in Iraq by sparking a sectarian civil war in the country enabling them to fulfill their plans of partitioning the country along ethnic and religious lines.

On Monday, 1 May 2006, US Democratic Senator Joseph Biden and Leslie Gelb the President Emeritus of the American Council on Foreign Relations published an article in The New York Times offering bi-partisan US support for the plan to partition of Iraq along ethnic and sectarian lines.

? Resistance fighters kill Iraqi contractor serving US occupation troops in Balad.

In a dispatch posted at 2:20pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters equipped with light arms shot and killed an Iraqi contractor working for the US occupation forces in the south of Balad, about 85km north of Baghdad.

The Balad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that Resistance fighters attacked a car carrying a contractor who works with the US forces near the Balad fuel station. After killing the collaborating contractor, the Resistance fighters withdrew from the scene.

Bayji.

? Resistance bomb blasts US troops in northeastern Bayji, leaving three reported dead.

In a dispatch posted at 10:30am Makkah time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column on the main road in northeastern Bayji, about 200km north of Baghdad.

The Bayji correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the bomb completely destroyed one Humvee, killing three US soldiers and wounding two more.

? Resistance fighters assault puppet police checkpoint in Ba‘qubah.

In a dispatch posted at 2:20pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters assaulted a checkpoint manned by Iraqi puppet police in western Ba‘qubah, about 65km northeast of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Ba‘qubah as saying that Resistance fighters armed wit light and medium weapons attacked the checkpoint on the main road in the industrial complex.

The correspondent reported that two puppet policemen were killed in the attack, one of them a captain, and two more of them were wounded.

? Resistance bomb explodes as two puppet policemen try to disarm it.

In a dispatch posted at 11am Makkah time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a patrol of Iraqi puppet police in the industrial zone of southwestern Ba‘qubah on Wednesday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Ba‘qubah as saying that the bomb exploded as two puppet police sappers in the patrol were trying to disarm it. Both received severe injuries as a result of the explosion.

? Resistance bomb blasts motorcade of deputy puppet governor of al-Mawsil.

In a dispatch posted at 2:40pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by the motorcade of the deputy puppet governor of al-Mawsil (Mosul) in northern Iraq, Khusraw Kawran.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the al-Mawsil puppet police as saying that a bomb expoded by Kawran’s motorcade as it drove through the az-Zuhur section of the city. The blast disabled one vehicle in the motorcade, wounding two of the puppet official’s guards.

? Resistance fires Katyusha rockets into two British headquarters in al-Basrah area.

Iraqi Resistance forces mounted missile attacks on two British headquarters in the area of the southern city of al-Basrah, a British military spokesman admitted on Wednesday.

Quds Press reported that a British captain who serves as press liaison for British forces told the press that the British headquarters in ash-Shu‘aybah, about 35km from the center of al-Basrah, and the second largest British-occupied facility on al-Basrah in terms of men and materiel, was hit by a Katyusha rocket barrage on Wednesday morning.

In addition, the British spokesman admitted, Resistance fighters blasted the British headquarters in the Iraqi presidential palaces with three more Katyusha rockets.

The British military spokesman claimed that the two rocket attacks inflicted nor damage as the Katyusha rockets landed “far” from British troops.
