US soldier reported killed in Resistance bombing in ‘Anah.
In a dispatch posted at3:10pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military patrol on the main road in the middle of ‘Anah, on the Euphrates in western Iraq.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in ‘Anah as saying that the bomb went off by a patrol of three US Humvees, destroying one of them and killing one US soldier and wounding three more American troops.
After the explosion, US forces carried out massive raids and arrests in the city, rounding up 25 local residents.
Ar-Ramadi.
US troops aircraft deploy in strength on northern, western approaches to ar-Ramadi, terrorizing residents Sunday night.
In a dispatch posted at 9:15pm Makkah time Sunday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that hundreds of US troops deployed along the western and northern perimeter of the city of ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghdad.
The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US warplanes were, at that moment prowling the skies above the city at low altitude, firing large numbers of flares and terrorizing the residents of the city.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the western part of the city reported that the US forces dropped leaflets in western ar-Ramadi ordering people to stay indoors and offer no help to the Iraqi Resistance fighters ミ whom the Americans called “terrorists.”
Three US troops reported killed in ambush in ar-Ramadi.
In a dispatch posted at 2:30pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters ambushed a US patrol in the al-Ma‘arid area of western ar-Ramadi.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the city as saying that Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons completely destroyed one Humvee in the patrol, killing three US soldiers and wounding three more of them.
Al-Fallujah.
Resistance sharpshooter fells Iraqi puppet “National Guard” soldier in al-Fallujah midday Sunday.
In a dispatch posted at 3:20pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed an Iraqi puppet “National Guardsman” in al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad at 12:30pm local time midday Sunday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that a puppet “National Guard” patrol was near the new bridge in the west of al-Fallujah when one of the puppet “Guards” took a direct hit in the head from an Iraqi Resistance sharpshooter’s bullet, killing him instantly.
Resistance sharpshooter kills US soldier on patrol in al-Fallujah.
In a dispatch posted at 1:40pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed a US soldier in al-Fallujah at 6am local time about sunrise Sunday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a US military patrol was proceeding along the main street to the al-‘Askari neighborhood in the eastern part of city when one of the Americans took a direct hit from a Resistance sharpshooter’s bullet, killing him instantly.
A worker in the city told Mafkarat al-Islam that he was on his way work at the time and happened to be near the area when the shooting took place. US troops stopped him in the street and offered him a reward of US$500 for any information about the Resistance sharpshooter. When the worker told the Americans he knew nothing about the matter, they beat him up soundly and then let him go.
Resistance ambushes puppet “Iraqi National Guard” patrol in northwest al-Fallujah Sunday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 1:40pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters ambushed an Iraqi puppet “National Guard” patrol in al-Fallujah’s northwestern neighborhood of al-Jawlan on Sunday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Jawlan as saying that Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons and pipe rockets attacked the patrol, setting one patrol vehicle on fire and damaging another. Three Iraqi puppet troops were killed and four more of them wounded.
Abu Ghurayb.
Seventeen Sunni residents of Abu Ghurayb abducted to be exchanged for kidnapped Shi‘i tae kwon do team.
In a dispatch posted at 6:40pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that pro-American Shi‘i sectarian militiamen abducted 17 Sunni residents of the Abu Ghurayb area, 30km west of Baghdad in exchange for the Shi‘i tae kwon do team kidnapped two weeks earlier on the road between al-Fallujah and ar-Ramadi.
The Abu Ghurayb correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the victims had gone to the puppet “Ministry of Justice” to look for entitlements but were stopped as they left the building by three carloads of Iraqi puppet police who took them away to an unknown destination. A relative of one of the abducted men said that Shi‘i sectarian militiamen contacted him and demanded that he get the people of al-Fallujah and ar-Ramadi to take action to free the Shi‘i tae kwon do team or their relatives would be killed.
Baghdad.
Bodies of 20 more Sunni Iraqis found tortured and murdered, presumably by American-backed Shi‘i sectarian security services.
In a dispatch posted at 10:10pm Makkah time Sunday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier, the Forensic Medicine Department in Baghdad issued its evening bulletin in which it reported that 20 new bodies of murdered Iraqi Sunnis had been found.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam, who obtained a copy of the bulletin, reported that it said that the corpses were found in two different locations in the Madinat as-Sadr area of eastern Baghdad, in the ash-Sh‘b area, and in the southern suburb of ad-Durah.
All the bodies were those of people murdered yesterday (Saturday) and all showed signs of savage torture. Their reproductive organs had been severely beaten. On four of the bodies, parts of the sexual organs were cut off. The throats of five of the bodies were slit but they were not beheaded. An exclusive source who asked not to be identified told Mafkarat al-Islam that the bodies belonged to individuals ranging in age from 22 to 60 years.
Unknown armed men attack vehicle carrying communications workers in Baghdad’s at-Talibiyah district.
In a dispatch posted at 10:55am Makkah time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that armed men attacked a vehicle carrying communications employees in the predominantly Shi‘i at-Talibiyah district of eastern Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in at-Talibiyah as saying that men equipped with light arms attacked the vehicle, killing four and wounding two more of the workers by preliminary count.
Iraqi puppet “Interior Ministry” falsely claims Russian diplomats released.
In a dispatch posted at 10:42am Makkah time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Iraqi puppet “Interior Ministry” had declared that four Russians on the staff of their country’s embassy in Baghdad had been released. The four were kidnapped in an armed assault in Baghdad’s al-Mansur district, Saturday afternoon.
The report, however, turned out to be false. In a dispatch posted at 6:27pm Moscow time Sunday evening (7:27pm Baghdad time) the Russian news agency Interfax reported that an official representative of the US embassy in Moscow announced that Washington had “offered Russia its cooperation in searching for and setting free” the Russian diplomats in Baghdad. In that dispatch, Interfax noted that the fate of the Russians was still unknown.

Ba‘qubah.
Shi‘i Sectarian gunmen kill 19 Sunni high school students in Ba‘qubah.
In a dispatch posted at 6:20pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Shi‘i sectarian gunmen ambushed a vehicle carrying 22 students of the ‘Ayn Laylah Secondary School in southern Ba‘qubah, about 65km northeast of Baghdad and killed the 19 Sunni students aboard. The sectarian gunmen let four Shi‘ah aboard the bus go free.
The Ba‘qubah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local sources as saying that the Shi‘i sectarian gunmen stopped the bus carrying the students to the school where they were to take their final exams. The gunmen took the students off the bus and killed the 19 Sunnis, but released the bus driver and three other students who were Shi‘ah.
The correspondent reported that the bodies of the victims were taken in four cars to a small hospital outside of Ba‘qubah. The correspondent reported that local Sunni religious and tribal leaders were looking for the bus driver and three Shi‘i students, hoping that they might help them find the killers.

Resistance mortars bombard puppet army camp in al-Latifiyah.
In a dispatch posted at 10:55am Makkah time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired five 82mm mortar rounds into the headquarters of Iraqi puppet army troops in al-Latifiyah, about 30km south of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Latifiyah as saying that the fierce barrage of shells scored direct hits on the camp, sending plumes of smoke rising into the sky.
Al-Yusufiyah.
Resistance pounds puppet army camp near al-Yusufiyah.
In a dispatch posted at 1pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired five 82mm mortar rounds at an Iraqi puppet army headquarters in al-Yusufiyah, about 30km southwest of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the al-Bu ‘Abdallah Village in the al-Yusufiyah area as saying that the five shells scored direct hits on the puppet army camp, sending plumes of smoke rising into the sky.
Resistance ambush in al-Yusufiyah leaves US soldier reported dead.
In a dispatch posted at 10:50am Makkah time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked a column of US occupation troops and their Iraqi puppet army allies on the main road to the as-Siyafah area of al-Yusufiyah.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in as-Siyafah as saying that Resistance fighters equipped with explosives, pipe rockets, and light arms ambushed the column, destroying three vehicles belonging to the puppet “Iraqi National Guard” and a US Humvee. One US soldier and seven Iraqi puppet troops were killed and three Americans and six Iraqi soldiers wounded in the attack.
The correspondent reported that after carrying out their attack, the Resistance fighters left the area having suffered no losses of their own.

Resistance bomb targets puppet police patrol Sunday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 9:35am Makkah time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by an Iraqi puppet police patrol on the main road in the al-Wasiti neighborhood of Kirkuk at 8:10am local time Sunday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Wasiti as saying that the bomb destroyed a patrol vehicle, killing two puppet policemen and wounding two more of them.

Al-Kut.
Resistance rocket slams into US camp in al-Kut.
In a dispatch posted at 10am Makkah time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired a medium-range rocket into the US military headquarters known as Camp Delta west of al-Kut, about 190km south of Baghdad in southern Iraq.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Kut as saying that the rocket scored a direct hit on the US camp. After the strike, US troops closed all roads leading to the camp and two military helicopters were observed landing on the base.

Four US troops reported killed in Resistance bombing in Karbala’.
In a dispatch posted at 9:06pm Makkah time Sunday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column in the an-Nasr neighborhood, 3km from the center of Karbala’ in southern Iraq.
The Karbala’ correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reportedthat the explosion completely destroyed a US Humvee. Sources in the Karbala’ puppet police said that the attack killed four US troops who were aboard the vehicle. At the time of reporting, US troops were surrounding the area where the bombing took place.
