Three US troops reported killed in Resistance bombing in al-Khalidiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 5:20pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces carried out two attacks on joint US-Iraqi puppet forces ni the city of al-Khalidiyah, some 80km west of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Khalidiyah as saying that in the first attack, an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a joint US-Iraqi puppet army foot patrol in the Jazirat al-Khalidiyah area.� The blast killed two Iraqi puppet National Guards and three US troops.� Two Americans and five Iraqi puppet Guards were wounded in the explosion.

In a separate attack, Resistance fighers bombarded the joint US-Iraqi puppet army camp by the al-Khalidiyah bridge east of the city, striking it with seven 82mm mortar rounds.� Plumes of smoke could be seen rising over the facility.

In a dispatch posted at 3:30pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column on the main road in the middle of al-Khalidiyah.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses who live in al-Khalidiyah as saying that a bomb that had beenplanted by the main road in the middle of town blew up as a US column was driving past.� The explosion disabled one Humvee, killing or wounding the three US troops who were aboard it.� After the attack, American troops arrested three unarmed persons who happened to be in the area where the attack took place, one of them a 15-year-old.

Resistance mortars blast joint US-Iraqi puppet army headquarters in Hit.

In a dispatch posted at 2:10pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired three 82mm mortar rounds into the joint headquarters of US and Iraqi puppet army troops in Hit, some 140km west of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Hit as saying that the base, that the US and their puppet forces set up in the former Youth Center in the middle of the city, was hit by three 82mm mortar shells, sending smoke rising into the sky.

Resistance bomb rips through US patrol in southern ar-Ramadi.

In a dispatch posted at 5:50pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in the at-Tamim area of southern ar-Ramadi.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of at-Tamim as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of 8th Of February Road blew up when an American patrol was driving past.� The explosion disabled one Humve, killing or wounding the three American troops who were aboard it.

Resistance bomb reportedly kills US soldier near Industrial Zone in ar-Ramadi.

In a dispatch posted at 1:20pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US column on the main road in the middle of ar-Ramadi, some 110km west of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in ar-Ramadi as saying that the bomb went off near the Industrial Zone of the city, disabling a Humvee and killing one US soldier and wounding two more of them.

Al-Habbaniyah.

Resistance rockets US-occupied al-Habbaniyah base Sunday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 12:10pm Mecca time midday Sunday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired two medium-range rockets into the US occupation headquarters in the al-Habbaniyah base, 69km west of Baghdad, on Sunday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eye witnesses in the village of al-Fallahat, which is located near the base, as saying that the Resistance rocket barrage sent plumes of smoke rising from inside the US-occupied compound

Bombs rip through Shii markets in Madinat as-Sadr arousing suspicions of renewed efforts by occupation to spark sectarian strife, partition Iraq.

Following the capture of British soldiers dressed as Iraqis while trying to blow up a Sunni political party office in al-Basrah on Thursday (see al-Basrah story below), mysterious bombs ripped through civilian targets in a Shii neighborhood of Baghdad on Sunday in what appeared to be a new effort by the Anglo-American occupation to spark sectarian fighting in Iraq.

Al-Jazeera satellite TV reported from Baghdad that two car bombs exploded simultaneously in two markets in the predominantly Shii Madinat as-Sadr section of Baghdad late on Sunday, killing at least 35 persons and wounding more than 90.

Attacks on civilians such as Sundays market bombs in Madinat as-Sadr, are widely viewed as a part of an Anglo-American effort to rescue their failing fortunes in Iraq by sparking a sectarian civil war in the country enabling them to fulfill their plans of partitioning the Iraq along ethnic and religious lines.

Western media on Sunday appraised the bombings as the most significant attacks of a sectarian nature since the Shii shrine of Imam Abd al-Hadi was blown up in Samarra on 22 Februrary this year.�

That attack was followed by an outburst of murderous sectarian rampages by militias loyal to the US-installed regime, but failed to ignite a sectarian civil war, despite a constant chorus of American press and public officials warning that such an eventuality was at hand.

Following the failure of a civil war to materialize after the Samarra bombing, US General John Abizaid confidently predicted on 4 March that more sectarian attacks were going to take place, according to the American AP dispatches on Sunday.

The idea of partitioning Iraq into Sunni Arab, Shii Arab, and Kurdish states was formulated publicly by Washington insider Leslie Gelb in his well knows article The Three-State Solution in The New York Times of 26 November 2003.

Following the failure of the US military to put Iraq under its control, the idea of partition has resurfaced with renewed force as the ruling regimes in the US and Britain cast about for alternate strategies to try to safeguard their interests in the region.

Resistance bomb blasts puppet National Guard patrol in eastern Baghdads al-Mustansiriyah area.

In a dispatch posted at 4:30pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a patrol of the puppet Iraqi National Guard on the main road in the al-Mustansiriyah area in eastern Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a traffic warden in al-Mustansiriyah as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road blasted a puppet National Guard patrol, disabling one of their vehicles and killing one puppet National Guardsman in addition to wounding five more of them.� Two of the wounded were in serious condition.

Pro-American sectarians, puppet Shock Troops police roundup, arrest residents in Abu Dushayr.

In a dispatch posted at 4:10pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that pro-American Shii sectarian militia and puppet police deployed in the Abu Dushayr area to the south of Baghdad on Sunday to round up local youths.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses who live in Abu Dushayr as saying that pro-American Shii sectarian militia, puppet Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir), and puppet police deployed in their area and began arresting and abducting local residents of the predominantly Sunni area.

Resistance bomb blasts puppet police patrol in ad-Durah.

In a dispatch posted at 1:10pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a patrol of the Iraqi puppet police on the main road in the area of the southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of the al-Mikanik neighborhood in southern ad-Durah who witnessed the attack as saying that the bomb disabled a patrol vehicle, killing one puppet policeman and wounding two more of them.

Resistance fighters kill puppet Intelligence Service officers in western Baghdad Sunday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 1pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that two Iraqi Resistance fighters shot and killed two members of the US-created Iraqi Intelligence Service in the al-Jamiah (University) area of western Baghdad on Sunday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that two Resistance fighters assassinated two officers in the puppet Intelligence Service as they drove their cars along the main road in the area.� The source said the two attackers then left the scene of their attacks.

Resistance bomb rips through puppet army column in southeast Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 12:30pm Mecca time midday Sunday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by an Iraqi puppet army column on the highway known as Muhammad al-Qasim Highway in the southeast of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that the bomb that had been planted by the Muhammad al-Qasim Highway completely destroyed of the puppet army vehicles in the column, killing two puppet army soldiers and seriously wounding four more of them.

Resistance fighters kill two pro-US Badr Brigade gunmen in al-Amiriyah Saturday night.

In a dispatch posted at 10:30am Mecca time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked two members of pro-American Shi sectarian militia in the western Baghdad area of al-Amiriyah on Saturday night.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Amiriyah as saying that Resistance fighters equipped with light arms shot the two puppet Badr Brigade gunmen, killing them instantly.

Resistance fighters ambush puppet National Guard column in al-Ghazaliyah Saturday night.

In a dispatch posted at 10:10am Mecca time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces attacked an Iraqi puppet army column on the highway near the al-Ghazaliyah area of western Baghdad Saturday night.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-Ghazaliyah who witnessed the attack as saying that Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons and pipe rockets attacked the puppet army column, disabling three puppet Iraqi National Guard vehicles and killing three puppet National Guards and wounding four more of them.

Resistance fighters kill building contractor collaborating with US occupation forces.

In a dispatch posted at 6pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked an Iraqi contractor who was collaborating with US occupation forces in the Yathrib area near Balad, some 100km north of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Yathrib as saying that Resistance fighters attacked one of the contractors who works with the US forces at their local base near Yathrib as he was hauling construction materials to the base.� The attack killed the contractor and disabled his truck.

Ad-Duluiyah.

Resistance fighters assassinate collaborator puppet police officials.

In a dispatch posted at 9:55am Mecca time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters shot and killed two members of the Joint Coordination Bureau of the Iraqi puppet police a body that coordinated puppet police activities with their supervisors the US occupation forces in ad-Duluiyah, 97km north of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in ad-Duluiyah as saying that Resistance fighters with machine guns attacked the two puppet policemen, killed them, and then successfully withdrew from the area.

Baqbah.

Resistance fighters kill three members of puppet Prime Ministers political organization.

In a dispatch posted at 12:50pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked three members of the pro-American Shii sectarian Dawah Party the political organization headed by the US-installed Prime Minister of Iraq Ibrahim al-Jafari in the al-Katun area to the south of Ba qubah, some 65km northeast of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses who live in al-Katun as saying that Resistance fighters equipped with light arms attacked the pro-American Dawah Party men, killing them and then withdrawing from the area.

Resistance bomb leaves three American troops reported dead north of al-Madain.

In a dispatch posted at 10:20am Mecca time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column on the road to the Jurf an-Naddaf area north of al-Madain which is just southeast of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-Madain who witnessed the bombing as saying that an explosive device that had been planted by the side of the main road north of the city blew up as a US column was driving past.� The explosion completely destroyed one Humvee, killing three US troops who were aboard it, the correspondent reported.

Resistance pounds joint US-puppet Shock Troop check point north of al-Latifiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 11:40am Mecca time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired six 82mm mortar rounds into a ckeck point jointly manned by US occupation troops and puppet Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir) on the road running north from al-Latifiyah to Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of the area south of Baghdad who witnessed the Resistance barrage as saying that the Resistance barrage on the check point sent pillars of smoke rising into the sky over the checkpoint.� No information on the nature or extent of casualties was available.

British soldiers disguised as Iraqis try to plant bomb by Islamic Party headquarters in al-Basrah, in further apparent effort to spark sectarian civil war in Iraq.

The Iraqi puppet police in the southern Iraqi city of al-Basrah arrested three British soldiers disguised as Iraqis who were trying to plant explosives near the headquarters of the collaborationist so-called Islamic Party of Iraq, a Sunni party that was formed after the US occupation on the basis of the Iraqi Muslim Brotherhood organization.� The arrest took place on Thursday night, 9 March 2006, according to the al-Basrah correspondent for Quds Press.

Iraqi puppet security sources said that a patrol of Iraqi puppet police arrested three individuals who were planting an explosive device near the headquarters of the so-called Islamic Party.� After an investigation of the men it was determined that they were British troops disguised in Arab dress.� The source added, British forces then arrested that Iraqi group that had the three Britons with them.� The British troops released their own men but kept the Iraqi puppet police patrol in British custody, Quds Press reported.�

The incident brought to mind a similar event that also took place in al-Basrah on an earlier occasion when a number of British troops disguised as Iraqis were caught by local puppet police on 19 September 2005 while trying to plant a bomb at a Shii shrine in the city.

Such attacks, and others where the perpetrators are unknown but the targets are civilian Sunni or Shii Iraqis, are widely viewed as a part of an Anglo-American effort to rescue their failing fortunes in Iraq by sparking a sectarian civil war in the country enabling them to fulfill their plans of partitioning the Iraq along ethnic and religious lines.
