Resistance bomb in Amiriyat al-Fallujah wounds US troops.

In a dispatch posted at 4:20pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol on the main road in Amiriyat al-Fallujah, a suburb southwest of al-Fallujah proper, some 60km west of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Amiriyat al-Fallujah as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road blew up as a US patrol was driving past, disabling one US armored vehicle and wounding the three American troops who were aboard it.

After the blast, US troops opened fire indiscriminately around the area, wounding a local civilian.

American troops launch raids, mass arrests in al-Fallujah district, arresting more than 50 residents, stealing money jewelry, private cars.

In a dispatch posted at 3:15pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation forces carried out a campaign of raids and arrest of local residents in the al-Uwaysat area of southern al-Fallujah.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the Americans first closed off the area and imposed a curfew on residents.� Then they began storming houses and arresting people.� The US troops arrested more than 50 local people, ranging in age from 15 to 50 years.� American troops also stole money and gold jewelry from the residents and confiscated their cars.

Al-Habbaniyah.

Resistance bomb in al-Habbaniyah blasts Humvee reportedly killing US soldier.

In a dispatch posted at 4pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column in the city of al-Habbaniyah, 69km west of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Habbaniyah as saying that a bomb exploded as a US military column was passing along the main road to the touristic village in the city.� The witnesses said that the blast disabled an American Humvee, killing one US solidier and wounding three more of those who had been aboard the vehicle.

Ar-Ramadi.

Resistance sharpshooter reportedly kills US soldier on guard in ar-Ramadi.

In a dispatch posted at 2:20pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed a US soldier in the middle of ar-Ramadi, some 110km west of Baghdad.

The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that a US soldier who was standing watch at one of the American camps in the middle of ar-Ramadi took a direct hit from a bullet fired by an Iraqi Resistance sharpshooter, killing him instantly.

US soldier reported killed in Resistance bombing east of Hit.

In a dispatch posted at 12:10pm Mecca time midday Sunday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column east of Hit, some 140km west of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Hit as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the main road to al-Muhammadi east of Hit blew up by a passing US column.� The blast disabled a Humvee, killing one US soldier and wounding two more of them.

Pro-American militias attack relatives of Sunni religious leader in western Baghdad Sunday.

In a dispatch posted at 4:10pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that pro-American sectarian militias on Sunday attacked three relatives of Shaykh Harith ad-Darri, the General Secretary of the Association of Muslim Scholars, the highest Sunni religious authority in Iraq.� The attack took place near the al-Adl section of western Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Adl as saying that the gunmen, who were armed with light weapons, attacked three relatives of Shaykh Harith ad-Darri as they were riding in a bus from Abu Ghurayb. �Two of them were killed, and the third was seriously wounded in the attack.

Resistance bombards joint US-Iraqi puppet headquarters in ad-Durah with mortars.

In a dispatch posted at 2:40pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired five 82mm mortar rounds into a headquarters jointly occupied by US and Iraqi puppet troops in the southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of ad-Durah who witnessed the assault as saying that the mortar rounds scored direct hits on the joint US-Iraqi puppet army facility, sending plumes of smoke billowing into the sky.

Resistance bomb blasts US armored vehicle on road to at-Taji.

In a dispatch posted at 12:40pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column on the main road in the an area of a branch of the Tigris River in northwest of Baghdad,

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb on the road to the northern Baghdad suburb of at-Taji blew up by a passing US column.� The explosion disabled one American armored vehicle, wounding four US troops who were aboard it.

Pro-American Shii sectarian Badr Brigade gunmen attack Sunni mosque, killing three.

In a dispatch posted at 11am Mecca time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that pro-American Shii sectarian Badr Brigade militia, some of them wearing uniforms of the puppet Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir) attacked the Sunni an-Nur Mosque in the al-Jihad neighborhood of western Baghdad after midnight early Sunday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the pro-American gunmen carried out an attack that went on for nearly half an hour in full view of Iraqi puppet army forces that did nothing to stop it.� Three of the mosque guards were killed and six more of them wounded in the attack.

The correspondent noted that the pro-American gunmen carried out their attack during the period of the curfew declared by the puppet regime a curfew that was in force from 8pm Saturday night until 6am Sunday morning, local time.

Resistance bomb blasts puppet police patrol Saturday night.

In a dispatch posted at 10:20am Mecca time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a puppet police patrol in the az-Zafaraniyah area of southeast Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in az-Zafaraniyah as saying that the bomb exploded by a passing puppet police patrol Saturday evening, disabling one patrol vehicle.� One puppet policeman was killed and two more wounded, the correspondent reported.

Palestinian human rights organization warns of American-Zionist plot against Palestinian refugees in Iraq as attacks on them continue.

A human rights center has declared that the US occupation forces are fully responsible for the lives of Palestinian refugees living in Iraq, a population that has come under brutal attacks from the pro-American militias operating in tandem with the American-installed puppet regime in Baghdad.

A dispatch posted on the Nida al-Quds website (qudsway.com) quoted the Palestinian Risalat al-Huquq Center which operates in the Palestinian territories, as warning of a Zionist-American plot against Iraq in an attempt to drive the country into a bloody civil war that will enable the US to deepen its hegemony over the area and plunder the resources of Iraq.

The organization hailed the religious opinion issued by Shii religious authorities in an-Najaf prohibiting attacks on Palestinians and their property and called for defending them.

The public relations unit of the Center said that Palestinian refugees in Iraq had come under attack from suspicious forces backed by the US occupation whose aim is to cut the Palestine issue out of its Arab and Islamic context and isolate it.� To do this they sully and distort the image of Palestinians.

The Center called for protection of the Palestinians in Iraq by religious authorities, patriotic and Islamic forces and also the puppet regime, urging them to expose the plot that is being woven against the Palestinians by the Zionist secret agency the Mossad, and to bring all such agents to justice.

On Friday, 3 March, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) officially voiced serious concern over the safety of thousands of Palestinian refugees in Iraq, some of whom have reportedly been directly targeted and killed.

Spokesman for the UNHCR Ron Redmond told a press conference in Geneva: Over the past week, we have received reports that up to 10 Palestinians have been killed in Baghdad and several have been kidnapped.

A Palestinian human rights group in Baghdad advised us yesterday that many members of the Palestinian community are thinking of leaving the city and heading toward the borders to seek refuge abroad, he added.

About 23,000 Palestinians were registered by the UNHCR in Baghdad following the American invasion of Iraq in the spring of 2003. Smaller groups of Palestinians, which have not been registered, reside in Mosul and al-Basrah. In all, the Iraqi puppet regime estimates that there are at least 34,000 Palestinians in occupied Iraq.

Resistance bomb kills two puppet Iraqi National Guards north of Tikrit.

In a dispatch posted at 7:25pm Mecca time Sunday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by an Iraqi puppet National Guard patrol on the main road between Tikrit and Bayji to the north.

The Tikrit correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that the bomb went off by a patrol of puppet National Guard troops, disabling one patrol vehicle and killing two of the puppet guards and wounding two more of them.

Ad-Duluiyah.

Resistance sharpshooter reportedly kills US soldier on patrol in ad-Duluiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 430pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed a US soldier near the as-Surah intersection in the middle of the town of ad-Duluiyah, about 97km north of Baghdad

The ad-Duluiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that an American soldier who was taking part in a patrol on the main street near the as-Surah intersection took a direct hit from a Resistance sharpshooters bullet, killing him instantly.

After the attack, US troops opened fire on a civilians in the area indiscriminately, seriously wounding three of them.

Resistance bomb reportedly kills two US troops south of Balad.

In a dispatch posted at 10:40am Mecca time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column on the main road south of Balad, some 85km north of Baghdad..

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Balad as saying that the bomb exploded by a US column on the road to ad-Dujayl, disabling one Humvee and killing two US troops, and wounding two more of them.

Al-Latifiyah.

Resistance pounds puppet National Guard headquarters with mortars.

In a dispatch posted at 10:50am Mecca time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired six 82mm mortar rounds into the headquarters of the puppet National Guard west of al-Latifiyah, which is located south of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Latifiyah as saying that the barrage set of explosions and sent smoke rising into the sky.

Resistance bomb kills two puppet policemen in Baqubah.

In a dispatch posted at 6pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a puppet police patrol in the al-Muallimin neighborhood of Baqubah, 65km northeast of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-Muallimin as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the main road in the neighborhood went off by a passing puppet police patrol, disabling one patrol vehicle and killing two puppet policemen two more puppet police were wounded in the blast.

Resistance ambushes motorcade of general in Iraqi puppet army in al-Miqdadiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 11:20am Mecca time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters ambushed the motorcade of Brigadier General Mahmud Husayn Ali, an officer in the Iraqi puppet regime army in al-Miqdadiyah, some 85km northeast of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Miqdadiyah as saying that Resistance fighters attacked the motorcade on the main road in the city as the General was heading to his office.� General Ali and two of his companions were severely wounded in the attack.

Resistance bomb blasts puppet army troops in Kirkuk.

In a dispatch posted at 5:30pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by an Iraqi puppet army column on the main road in the middle of Kirkuk in northern Iraq.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police in the city as saying that the bomb disabled one of the puppet army vehicles, wounding two puppet soldiers, one of them severely.

Resistance bomb targets puppet police patrol.

In a dispatch posted at 6pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a patrol of Iraqi puppet police in the al-Muthanna neighborhood of eastern Mosul in northern Iraq.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-Muthanna as saying that the explosion of the bomb, which was planted near the al-Muthanna intersection, disabled one patrol vehicle, wounding two puppet policemen, one of them a First Lieutenant.
