Two US troops reported killed in bomb explosion in ar-Riyad area near Kirkuk.

In a dispatch posted at 5:20pm Mecca time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol on the main road in the al-Ubaydi area east of al-Qaim, located near the Iraqi-Syrian frontier in western Iraq.
The al-Qaim correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Ubaydi as saying that a bomb that was planted by the side of the main road to al-Karabilah blew up by a passing American patrol, disablingoen US armored vehicle and wounding four US troops who were aboard it.

Two US troops wounded in bombing on highway near ad-Durah.
In a dispatch posted at 12:20pm Mecca time midday Thursday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military patrol on the highway near the southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the highway to Baghdad al-Jadidah blew up near ad-Durah as a US patrol was driving past. The explosion disabled one American Humvee, wounding two US troops.
Mysterious explosions continue in Baghdad.
A mysterious bomb exploded in a popular market in southeastern Baghdads az-Zafaraniyah district, killing four and wounding 11 persons, al-Jazeera satellite TV reported.
A car bomb exploded in the Madinat as-Sadr district of Baghdad killing five people and wounding eight more. After that attack the Jaysh al-Mahdi militia of Shii religious leader Muqtada as-Sadr announced that it was taking over the main defense of the neighborhood. On Saturday, 25 February Muqtada as-Sadrs movement signed an agreement with the predominantly Sunni Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq recently as part of their joint effort to curb sectarian attacks.
Such mysterious attacks are widely viewed as a part of an Anglo-American effort to rescue their failing fortunes in Iraq by sparking a sectarian civil war in the country enabling them to fulfill their plans of partitioning the country along ethnic and religious lines.

Resistance rockets US base south of ad-Dujayl.
In a dispatch posted at 3:50pm Mecca time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired two medium-range rockets into the US military headquarters located south of ad-Dujayl, which is north of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the barrage sent plumes of smoke rising over the US occupied facility.
Tikrit.
Resistance forces assault checkpoint in Tikrit killing 11 puppet police and troops.
In a dispatch posted at 11:40am Mecca time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters assaulted a checkpoint that was jointly manned by Iraqi puppet police and puppet National Guards in Tikrit, north of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of Tikrit who witnessed the attack as saying that Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons and pipe rockets attacked the checkpoint. Two puppet regime cars were set on fire and seven puppet soldiers were killed. Another four of the puppet troops were wounded in the attack. Four puppet policemen were killed and three more of them were severely injured, the correspondent added.

In a dispatch posted at 10:50am Mecca time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked a number of officers in the Iraqi puppet police who were coming back from a training course in the Sulaymaniyah areat.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons attacked vehicles carrying 50 officers in the Iraqi puppet police coming back from Sulaymaniyah. One of the officers was killed and three more severely wounded in the attack. Eleven of the puppet police officers were abducted.

Resistance bomb blasts US Humvee south of al-Azim.
In a dispatch posted at 1:40pm Mecca time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column on the road to al-Azim, some 100km north of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of the al-Azim area who witnessed the attack as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the main road south of al-Azim blew up by a passing US patrol. The blast disabled one American Humvee, killing or wounding the members of its crew of three US troops, witnesses said.

Fourteen puppet National Guards killed in Resistance ambush in al-Madain.
In a dispatch posted at 11am Mecca time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked a column of Iraqi puppet army forces on the main road to the city of al-Madain southeast of Baghdad.
The al-Madain correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the Resistance fighters, who were armed with light and medium weapons and pipe rockets, attacked the column, disabling nine puppet National Guard vehicles and killing 14 puppet National Guardsmen. Another 17 puppet National Guards were wounded in the ambush.

Resistance bombards headquarters of puppet Shock Troops in al-Yusufiyah.
In a dispatch posted at 2:50pm Mecca time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired four heavy 120mm mortar rounds into the headquarters of the puppet Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir) in al-Yusufiyah, south of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-Yusufiyah who witnessed the attack as saying that the shells scored direct hits on the headquarters, sending plumes of smoke rising over the facility.

In a dispatch posted at 3:10pm Mecca time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column near ar-Riyad on the road southwest to Bayji.
The Kirkuk correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of the ar-Riyad area who witnessed the bombing as saying that an explosive device that had been planted by the side of the main road north of the town blew up as a column of several Humvees and armored personnel carriers. Witnesses reported that the explosion disabled one US armored vehicle, killing two American soldiers and wounding two more of them.

In a dispatch posted at 7pm Mecca time Thursday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column on the main road leading to the al-Kafaat neighborhood of central Mosul in northern Iraq.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Kafaat as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road leading to the city center blew up by a passing American column. The blast disabled one US armored vehicle and wounded three American troops who were aboard it.

Mortars target British consulate in al-Basrah at dawn Thursday.
In a dispatch posted at 3:40pm Mecca time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraq Resistance forces fired two 82mm mortar rounds into the British consulate located in the as-Saraji area of central al-Basrah in southern Iraq.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in as-Saraji as saying that the British consulate was the target of two mortar shells fired at dawn Thursday. One of the shells blasted into the consulate, the other landed behind the building and wounded a civilian.
