Al-Fallujah.
Resistance bombards three US strong points in ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah late Friday afternoon.
In a dispatch posted at 7:35pm Mecca time Friday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had fired mortar rounds into three houses that US troops were using as headquarters and billets in ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that at about 6pm local time Friday afternoon explosions shook the areas around the three buildings. No information on the nature or extent of US casualties was available to the correspondent due to the impossibility of getting past US security cordons around the area.
Eight US troops reported killed in two Resistance attacks in ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah; indiscriminate American gunfire leaves five Iraqi civilians dead.
In a dispatch posted at 3:10pm Mecca time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had carried out two attacks on US occupation troops in the area of ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah, southwest of the city of al-Fallujah, some 60km west of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported in the first attack, an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US foot patrol in the middle of ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah, killing two US troops and wounding three more, one of them severely.
The second Resistance operation took place when Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons, pipe rockets, and mortars assaulted the headquarters of US forces in the middle of ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah. That attack destroyed parts of the American headquarters and set fire to a US vehicle. Six American troops were killed and four more wounded in the assault.
In response, the correspondent reported, US troops opened fire indiscriminately at houses in the surrounding area, killing five civilians (three women and two children) and wounded four more. One of the wounded, a child, was in critical condition according to Dr. Ra’id al-‘Ani of al-Fallujah General Hospital.
Ar-Ramadi.
Resistance sharpshooter kills US soldier in eastern ar-Ramadi.
In a dispatch posted at 12:10pm Mecca time midday Friday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman had shot and killed an American soldier in the al-Hamirah section of eastern ar-Ramadi.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local residents who witnessed the attack as saying that the American soldier was on watch near one of the American camps in the city when a Resistance sharpshooter’s bullet struck him, killing him instantly.
Resistance rockets US camp in downtown ar-Ramadi.
In a dispatch posted at 12:01pm Mecca time midday Friday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had bombarded the US camp in the middle of ar-Ramadi, some 110km west of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in ar-Ramadi as sayin that Resistance forces fired four medium-range rockets into the Immigration Building in the middle of the city ミ a facility that the American occupation forces have taken over and turned into one of their camps.
The witnesses said that the rockets scored direct hits, destroying large parts of the camp and killing or wounding numerous US troops. American Medevac helicopters were seen landing near the camp. No details on the nature or extent of casualties were available.
Al-Habbaniyah.
Resistance pounds US al-Habbaniyah airbase in predawn hours Friday.
In a dispatch posted at 11:50am Mecca time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces 16 mortar rounds into the key US-occupied as-Saqr airbase in al-Habbaniyah, 69km west of Baghdad at 3am local time Friday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Habbaniyah as saying that the Resistance mounted the ferocious bombardment, firing 16 mortar rounds from various directions into the US-occupied base, setting off explosions inside the compound. Afterward, US helicopters flew in over the base and neighboring areas, prowling the skies for several hours.
Baghdad.
Car bomb blasts Sunni mosque killing at least eight; gunmen later arrive to shoot bystanders in latest sectarian attack by pro-American militias, security services.
At least eight Iraqi Sunnis were killed and 21 more wounded when a car bomb exploded just meters from a Sunni mosque in the southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah at about 1pm local time Friday afternoon.
Al-Jazeera satellite TV reported that an explosives-packed car was parked 10 meters from the Masjid al-Iskan ash-Sha‘bi mosque in a residential housing area. The blast occurred just as Friday congregational prayers were finishing and worshippers were coming out into the street.
Al-Jazeera noted that the number of casualties was not entirely certain and that one Reuters dispatch had said that 11 people had been killed and 38 others injured in the sectarian attack.
The American Associated Press (AP) reported that several hours after the deadly bombing, a number of masked men showed up at the scene, shouted a religious slogan, and began randomly shooting bystanders. An Associated Press photographer reported seeing two persons shot and then one of the gunmen put a pistol to a woman’s head and apparently kill her as well. Later the puppet police claimed that the woman was killed but the two men wounded.
Puppet “Shock Troops” kidnap Sunni religious leader Thursday night.
Puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir)” stormed into the house of Sunni religious leader Shaykh ‘Adil Khalil Dawud, the Imam of the an-Nu‘man Mosque in Baghdad’s al-Karradah neighborhood on Thursday night and arrested him, taking him to an unknown location, al-Jazeera satellite TV reported.
Kidnapping, torture, and murder of Sunnis has become nearly a daily occurrence in Iraq as pro-American Shi‘i sectarians, who make up the backbone of the puppet security services, strive to spread sectarian violence throughout the country.
Commander in sectarian Badr Brigades assassinated in ad-Durah.
In a dispatch posted at 11:20am Mecca time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters ambushed the motorcade of a commander in the pro-American Shi‘i sectarian Badr Brigades in the southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of ad-Durah who witnessed the attack as saying that a group of Resistance fighters ambushed Ja‘far al-‘Awwadi, a Badr Brigade commander who is also an official of the puppet “Interior Ministry.” The Resistance attackers killed al-‘Awwadi and two of his companions and wounded two of his guards and then withdrew from the area.
The nearly 30,000-man Badr Brigades, the armed wing of the Shi‘i sectarian Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq, invaded Iraq together with US forces in spring 2003. Since that time they have formed the backbone of the security services of the American-installed puppet regime.
Deadly Resistance bomb rips through puppet “National Guard” column in al-Ghazaliyah.
In a dispatch posted at 11:10am Mecca time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by an Iraqi puppet “National Guard” patrol on the main road near the western approaches to Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the al-Ghazaliyah neighborhood as saying that the bomb by the side of the highway disabled two patrol vehicles, killing three Iraqi puppet troops and wounding two more of them.

At-Tarimiyah.
Resistance shoots down US Chinook helicopter near at-Tarimiyah.
In a dispatch posted at 3:20pm Mecca time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces shot down a giant American Chinook helicopter in the at-Tarimiyah area just north of Baghdad.
The at-Tarimiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the Resistance fighters opened fire with their light and medium weapons in the direction of a US Chinook helicopter. Their fire struck the craft and caused it to fall to earth.
No information was available on the fate of the crew of the aircraft because US forces threw up a cordon around the crash zone. Eyewitnesses said they saw no one exit the helicopter as it fell.
Diyala Province.
Buhriz.
Resistance bomb blasts US patrol near Buhriz.
In a dispatch posted at 5pm Mecca time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol on the main road in the Buhriz area northeast of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the bomb was planted by the side of the road into Buhriz and that it went off as a patrol of several American Humvees was driving by. The blast disabled one Humvee, wounding four US troops who were aboard it.
Al-Mada’in.
Resistance bomb blasts puppet “Shock Troops” north of al-Mada’in.
In a dispatch posted at 4:40pm Mecca time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a patrol of puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir)” on the main road leading to the Jurf an-Naddaf area to the north of al-Mada’in, southeast of Baghdad.
The al-Mada’in correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the blast disabled one patrol vehicle, killing two of the puppet “Shock Troops” and wounding three more of them.
