Al-Anbar Province.
Ar-Ramadi.
Resistance fighters battle US troops in ar-Ramadi midday Tuesday. Sour US troops reported killed by Tuesday afternoon.
In a dispatch posted at 11:25am Mecca time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that fighting had been raging for about half an hour between Iraqi Resistance fighters and US troops in the al-Mu‘allimin neighborhood in the middle of ar-Ramadi, some 110km west of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Resistance fighters were armed with shoulder fired rocket launchers and locally upgraded S5K and RPG7 rockets and rocket propelled grenades in addition to light and medium weapons.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported a member of the Resistance in the rear lines supplying the Resistance fighters in the al-Mal‘ab neighborhood as saying that the Resistance had damaged an American Apache helicopter that was attempting to rocket a group of fighters.
In a dispatch posted at 4:40pm Mecca time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters had attacked a US military patrol in the al-Mu‘allimin neighborhood of the city.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that Resistance fighters equipped with light and medium arms and pipe rockets destroyed one American armored vehicle and disabled a Humvee. Four US troops were killed in the attack and three more of them wounded, the correspondent reported.
Al-Habbaniyah.
US troops arrest nine Iraqis Tuesday morning following powerful Resistance bombardment on US base Monday.
In a dispatch posted at 12:10pm Mecca time midday Tuesday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation troops arrested nine Iraqi residents of the al-Habbaniyah area, 69km west of Baghdad at 10am local time Tuesday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the Resistance had carried out a mortar attack on the US base known as al-Hadbah (the Heights) on Monday, igniting massive fires inside the US compound. A source in the Iraqi puppet police told Mafkarat al-Islam that the occupation forces on Tuesday responded to the attack by arresting nine “suspects” on Tuesday morning.
Al-Fallujah.
Member of puppet “governing council” of al-Fallujah assassinated.
In a bulletin posted at 10:35am Mecca time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier an armed groups had assassinated Kamal Mahmud a member of the Council of Religious Scholars in al-Fallujah and a member of the puppet governing council of the city of al-Fallujah.
The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported witnesses as saying that the Shaykh was getting out of his car near the ar-Rawi mosque when he was attacked and sprayed with a hail of bullets, killing him. Dr. Muhammad ad-Dulaymi of al-Fallujah General Hospital said that Mahmud died minutes after being brought to the hospital, having been severly wounded by bullets in the head and chest.

Three US troops reported killed in bombing in Hit Monday.
In a dispatch posted at 11:50am Mecca time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column on the main road in the city of Hit, 140km west of Baghdad on Monday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the bomb, which had been planted on the road to the center of the city, blew up, completely destroying one American Humvee and killing three US troops and wounding a fourth.

Bombs blast puppet police near Shi‘i sectarian store in Baghdad.
In a dispatch posted at 1:20pm Mecca time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that two bombs exploded near a shop selling laser disks in the al-Bab ash-Sharqi district of occupied Baghdad
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported shopkeepers in the area as saying that the first bomb went off near a store specializing in selling CDs with songs proclaiming Shi‘i doctrines and videos concerned with historical battles of the Shi‘ah against Sunnis. The second bomb exploded when a puppet police patrol was arriving to investigate the first blast. The explosions destroyed the shop and a patrol vehicle, killing four persons with another 20 wounded, of whom five were in serious condition.
Five of the injured are puppet policemen, according to a source in al-Kindi hospital where victims from the bombing were admitted.
Puppet forces raid home arrest tribal Shaykh.
Puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir)” arrested a prominent leader of the Shamar tribe in Baghdad on Monday morning.
Quds Press reported relatives of Shaykh Khamis Hawwas as-Sadid, the brother of the politician Fihran Hawwas Sadid as saying that the puppet “Shock Troops” raided Shaykh Khamis’s house at dawn. They carried out a “violent” search inside the dwelling, destroying furniture and belongings and stealing gold jewelry and cash. After finishing ransacking the house, the puppet troops arrested Shaykh Khamis and two of his sons, Mahmud and Mashari but gave no reasons for doing so.
Ash-Shaykh Khamis belongs to the Shamar Arab tribe of which Shaykh Ghazi ‘Ujayl al-Yawur, the American-installed puppet “Vice President of Iraq” is also said to be a member.
US troops raid offices of “Iraqi Islamic Party” in al-‘Amiriyah.
In a dispatch posted at 12:40pm Mecca time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a joint force of US and Iraqi puppet troops raided the headquarters of the so-called Iraqi Islamic Party in western Baghdad’s al-‘Amiriyah district.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-‘Amiriyah as saying that the troops blasted down the doors with explosives and noise grenades, attacked and beat up the guard and took away his weapon and ransacked and broke the contents of the offices. The guard reported that the troops also stole money that was in the office.
The Islamic Party, created after the US occupation of Iraq in the spring of 2003, cooperated with the US forces and took a seat on the puppet “governing council” installed by the US proconsul L. Paul Bremer. Since then it has continued to work with the US trying to “normalize” relations between the American occupation forces and elements in the Sunni community in Iraq. It has been denounced as a treasonous organization by Resistance forces. The reason for the American raid was unclear.

Bomb south of al-Mushahada reportedly kills US soldier.
In a dispatch posted at 6:40pm Mecca time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that two Iraqi Resistance bombs exploded by a US military column in the city of al-Mushahadah, on the main road running south to Baghdad.
The al-Mushahadah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that two bombs that had been planted by the side of the road to Baghdad blew up nearly simultaneously as an American column drove by. The blast disabled one Humvee and damaged another vehicle. One US soldier was killed and three more of them wounded the correspondent reported.

Resistance bomb blast US supply truck north of Baghdad.
In a dispatch posted at 5:40pm Mecca time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US convoy on the main road between at-Tarimiyah and al-Mushahadah, both north of Baghdad.
The at-Tarimiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the bomb, which had been planted by the side of the road, destroyed one American provision truck, wounding its driver.
Samarra’.
In a dispatch posted at 11am Mecca time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a column of four-wheel drive armor-plated vehicles belonging to the puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry” in the ad-Dubbat neighborhood in the middle of Samarra’, some 120km north of Baghdad.
The Samarra’ correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of ad-Dubbat who witnessed the attack as saying that the bomb destroyed one of the vehicles in the column, killing two individuals, one of them a puppet official in the “Interior Ministry.” Three of his companions were wounded in the attack.

Two US troops reported killed in bombing in ad-Dulu‘iyah.
In a dispatch posted at 10:30am Mecca time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US column in the city of ad-Dulu‘iyah on the main road to Samarra’, 120km north of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of ad-Dulu‘iyah as saying that the bomb completely destroyed one Humvee, killing two US troops and severely wounding two more of them.

Resistance fighters attack puppet police checkpoint in Ba‘qubah.
In a dispatch posted at 4:50pm Mecca time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked a puppet police check point in the city of Ba‘qubah, 65km northeast of Baghdad.
The Ba‘qubah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons attacked a puppet police checkpoint, damaging patrol vehicles and killing two puppet policemen. Two more puppet policemen and two civilians who were nearby were wounded.

Resistance bombards Japanese base near as-Samawah early Tuesday afternoon.
In a dispatch posted at 5:20pm Mecca time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked the headquarters of Japanese occupation troops west of the southern city of as-Samawah at 1:30pm local time Tuesday afternoon.
The as-Samawah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet army, who asked not to be identified, as saying that the Resistance had fired two heavy 120mm mortar rounds into the Japanese-occupied base. One of the shells landed near a fuel storage depot, setting it on fire. The other shell landed near a building on the base, inflicting material damage on it. The source made no mention of casualties among the Japanese occupation troops.

Al-Yusufiyah.
Resistance battles US, Iraqi puppet troops when they try to raid houses in al-Yusufiyah.
In a dispatch posted at 5:50pm Mecca time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that violent battles broke out between Iraqi Resistance fighters and US occupation troops backed up by Iraqi puppet forces in the middle of the town of al-Yusufiyah, south of Baghdad.
The al-Yusufiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the fighting erupted when US and Iraqi puppet army forces raided dozens of houses in the central and northern parts of the city. As they were carrying out their sweep, dozens of Iraqi Resistance men armed with light and medium weapons ambushed the US and Iraqi puppet troops.
Witnesses said that the battle lasted for several hours, in the course of which two Iraqi puppet army vehicles were disabled and one American vehicle was set ablaze. No precise information on the nature or extent of casualties was available, since the US and Iraqi puppet forces threw a cordon around the area.
Al-Basrah Province.

In a dispatch posted at 3:20pm Mecca time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a puppet police patrol in the al-Husayn neighborhood of western al-Basrah.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam noted that the attack took place in the first 10 days of the Muslim lunar month of al-Muharram which are marked by the Shi‘ah as the anniversary of the death of their ancient martyr al-Husayn ibn ‘Ali. Eyewitnesses reported that puppet police cars were driving through the streets with black flags waiving to commemorate the death of Shi‘i martyr al-Husayn many centuries ago, while loudspeakers on the patrol vehicles cars call on population to mourn and strike themselves in lamentation.
