Bomb targets puppet “National Guard patrol in al-Fallujah.
In a dispatch posted at 5:50pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a puppet “Iraqi National Guard” patrol on the new road in the middle of al-Fallujah, some 60km west of Baghdad.
The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the local puppet police as saying that the bomb disabled one patrol vehicle and killed one puppet policeman and wounded two more of them.

Resistance bomb leaves three US troops reported dead east of al-Hadithah.
In a dispatch posted at 11:20am Mecca time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded next to a US military column on the main road in the al-Haqlaniyah area east of al-Hadithah, some 300km west of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-Haqlaniyah as saying that a bomb had exploded by a passing American column the side of the road leading into town. The correspondent reported that the blast destroyed one US troop transport, killing three American soldiers and wounding three more of them.

Resistance fighters assassinate deputy director of notorious Abu Ghurayb prison camp.
In a dispatch posted at 7:15pm Mecca time Sunday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces about an hour earlier had assassinated the deputy director of the notorious Abu Ghurayb prison camp, Ahmad as-Sayyid ‘Abd on the highway in the al-Ghazaliyah area west of Baghdad.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet army as saying that two BMW cars attacked the motorcade of the deputy director at the al-Ghazaliyah highway junction west of Baghdad, killing him and two of is companions and wounding four more in the motorcade.
The source said that two of the Resistance fighters who attacked the motorcade were killed in the attack when the puppet official’s guards opened fire intensively on the attack vehicles. The surviving Resistance fighters drove away from the scene.
After the attack, US and Iraqi puppet forces closed the road completely and surrounded the scene of the attack.
The correspondent noted that after the Abu Ghurayb torture scandal broke in the international media, the US occupation forces appointed an Iraqi director of the notorious prison along with four Iraqi puppet “Interior Ministry” deputies to take seats on a joint US-Iraqi puppet commission that runs the facility.

Resistance fires rockets into “Green Zone.”
In a dispatch posted at 4:30pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired four medium-range rockets into the zone around the Republican Palace in downtown Baghdad, the area know to the US occupation forces as the “Green Zone.”
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of the nearby al-Karradah district as saying that the rocket strikes inside the “Green Zone” sent plumes of smoke rising into the sky.
Resistance bomb rips through puppet “Shock Troop” patrol in Baghdad al-Jadidah.
In a dispatch posted at 11:10am Mecca time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troop (Maghawir)” patrol on the main road in the Baghdad al-Jadidah in the eastern part of the occupied Iraqi capital.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of Baghdad al-Jadidah as saying that the blast disabled one patrol vehicle, killing four puppet “Shock Troops.”
Netherlands extends role of Dutch troops in training puppet forces.
The Foreign Ministry of the Netherlands announced that it had extended the participation of Dutch forces in the NATO training mission in Iraq for another six months until August 2006, the United Arab Emirates newspaper al-Bayan reported Sunday, based on a DPA dispatch.
Since the beginning of the NATO effort to train puppet troops for the US occupation regime, Holland, a NATO satellite of the United States, has sent 15 soldiers to take part in the training of puppet Iraqi internal security officers. In March 2005 Holland brought home its contingent of 1,300 occupation troops after spending 20 months helping the US occupy the southern al-Muthanna Province and suppress the population. The Dutch government agreed to continue to take part in the NATO training mission in support of the occupation.

Resistance bombards joint US-Iraqi puppet army base in Samarra’.
In a dispatch posted at 6pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired seven medium-range S5K rockets at the joint US-Iraqi puppet army headquarters in the middle of Samarra’ in northern Iraq on Sunday.
The Samarra’ correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that six of the rockets blasted into the headquarters. The seventh missile landed near one of the commercial markets not far from the base, wounding 12 civilians. No information on the nature or extent of casualties inside the base was available.
Ad-Dulu‘iyah.
Three US troops wounded in bomb attack northwest of ad-Dulu‘iyah.
In a dispatch posted at 5:10pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US column on a farm road in the ad-Dulu‘iyah area.
The ad-Dulu‘iyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the bomb, which had been planted by the side of a farm road running northwest to Sammara’, blew up as a column of several Humvees was driving past. The explosion disabled one vehicle, wounding three US soldiers.

Resistance bomb blasts US column near Tikrit.
In a dispatch posted at 12:40pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column on the road to ad-Dawr south of Tikrit, which is 180km north of Baghdad.
The Tikrit correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the bomb disabled one Humvee, wounding three US troops who were aboard it.

Resistance car bomb blasts puppet police patrol in al-Mada’in.
In a dispatch posted at 3:55pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resist car bomb exploded by a puppet police patrol on at-Taqah Square in the middle of al-Mada’in, southeast of Baghdad.
The al-Mada’in correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an explosives-laden car that was parked by the side of the road was detonated by remote control when a puppet police patrol was driving by. The blast destroyed one patrol vehicle, killing two puppet policemen and wounding three more of them.

Bomb blasts puppet police in al-Yusufiyah.
In a dispatch posted at 11am Mecca time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a puppet police patrol on the highway in the al-Yusufiyah area south of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-Yusufiyah who witnessed the attack as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road blew up by a puppet police patrol, disabling one patrol vehicle and killing tow puppet policemen and wounding two more of them.

US launches wave of frantic arrests in Mosul Sunday evening.
In a dispatch posted at 7:25pm Mecca time Sunday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier US and Iraqi puppet forces had stormed into the al-‘Alil Bathhouse district in the middle of Mosul in northern Iraq and carried out mass arrests in the area and surrounding neighborhoods.
The Mosul correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that in the course of their raid, the Americans filled a whole US troop transport with local prisoners. At the time of reporting another vehicle was being filled up with still more local people arrested by the Americans.
At the time of reporting, the entire area was surrounded by US forces and house-to-house raids and arrests were continuing. People were being arrested quickly without even having their identity papers checked and without any search through records listing prior arrests.

Puppet deputy director of prisons in al-Basrah assassinated.
In a dispatch posted at 12:20pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Major Walid Taha Hamzah, the occupation-appointed deputy director of prisons in al-Basrah was shot dead by armed men on Sunday morning.
The al-Basrah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the attack took place at the at-Tarbiyah junction in the middle of the city when Major Hamzah was heading to work. Suddenly armed men in a late model car appeared and shot and killed him, according to a source in the al-Basrah court.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the city reported that assassinations of pro-occupation officials have been on the rise in the last two weeks. An intelligence officer and deputy director of the intelligence in Abu al-Khasib were also recently killed.
Resistance bomb blasts British tank south of al-Basrah Saturday night.
In a dispatch posted at 10:10am Mecca time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a column of British occupation troops on the road linking az-Zubayr with Safwan near the Saudi Border on Saturday night.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police in the city as saying that the bomb disabled a British tank, wounding three British troops who were aboard it.
