Al-Anbar Province.

Al-Fallujah.

Two US soldiers reported killed in Resistance ambush on 40 Street in al-Fallujah.

In a dispatch posted at 10:25am Mecca time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked a US military patrol on 40 Street in the city of al-Fallujah, some 60km west of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the attack began when an Iraqi Resistance sharpshooter killed one US soldier in a US patrol on 40 Street in the city. The patrol came to a halt in order to pick up and evacuate the body of the dead man. At that point, Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons and pipe rockets attacked the patrol, disabling a Humvee and killing one more US soldier and wounding two more of them.

US forces carry out mass raids in ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah on Friday.

In a dispatch posted at 8:40pm Mecca time Friday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation troops carried out raids and searches in several neighborhoods of the residential complexes of ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah on Friday, including the neighborhoods of Saddam and ash-Shahid.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that there were some neighborhoods that the US troops did not search, such as that of ath-Thalith.

A curfew was in force all day Friday. One source said that the US troops might begin a pull-out from the areas they had searched beginning Saturday morning if “life returns to normal” there.

Baghdad.

Resistance battles US, puppet forces after midnight in western Baghdad’s al-‘Amiriyah section.

In a dispatch posted at 12:40pm Mecca time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that fierce fighting raged between Iraqi Resistance fighters and joint US and Iraqi puppet regime forces in the area of al-‘Amiriyah in western Baghdad after midnight.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-‘Amiriyah who witnessed the battle as saying that the fighting began when Resistance fighters equipped with light and medium arms attacked a joint patrol in the middle of the neighborhood.

The attack lasted for about half an hour, during which time flames could be seen rising from one Iraqi puppet army vehicle. No precise information on the nature or extent of casualties was available due to the curfew that was in force at the time and to the intensity of the combat.

Resistance bombards puppet “Rapid Deployment Force” headquarters in Baghdad’s al-Baladiyat area.

In a dispatch posted at 11:10am Mecca time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces shelled a headquarters of the puppet “Iraqi Rapid Deployment Forces” in the al-Baladiyat section of southeastern Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of the al-Baladiyat neighborhood as saying that four mortar rounds blasted into the headquarters of the puppet “Rapid Deployment Forces” Friday morning, sending smoke rising into the sky.

Resistance bomb blasts US Humvee in at-Tarimiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 1:20pm Mecca time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column in at-Tarimiyah on the road that runs north to al-Mushahadah.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of at-Tarimiyah, just north of Baghdad, as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the main road to the north blew up as a US column was driving past. The explosion completely destroyed a Humvee, killing or wounding the three US troops who were aboard it.

Balad.

US soldier reported killed in Resistance ambush in Balad.

In a dispatch posted at 12:20pm Mecca time midday Friday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked a US military column on the main road in the city of Balad, about 85km north of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons and RPG7 rocket-propelled grenades attacked the US column, destroying a supply transport vehicle and killing one US soldier and wounding two more of them.

Babil Province.

Al-Latifiyah.

Resistance bomb destroys supply truck delivering goods to US bases.

In a dispatch posted at 4:10pm Mecca time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a convoy of trucks hauling provisions to US bases on the main road south of al-Latifiyah.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-Latifiyah as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the main road blew up as the convoy of several trucks was driving past. The explosion destroyed one of the trucks, killing its driver who worked for the US occupation forces.

Al-Yusufiyah.

Resistance bombards joint US-Iraqi puppet headquarters in al-Yusufiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 3:50pm Mecca time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces bombarded the joint headquarters of US and Iraqi puppet troops in the al-Yusufiyah area with mortars.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-Yusufiyah as saying that eight 82mm mortar rounds blasted into the joint headquarters, setting off explosion and sending plumes of smoke rising from inside the compound.

At-Ta’mim Province.

Al-Hawijah.

Resistance shoots and kills translator working for US occupation forces.

In a dispatch posted at 1:30pm Mecca time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked a translator working for one of the Ameican bases near the city of al-Hawijah, southwest of Kirkuk in northern Iraq.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported witnesses as saying that Resistance fighters equipped with light arms shot and killed the translator and then withdrew from the area.

Resistance organizations in the city had repeatedly issued statements that were distributed among mosques in the city warning those working for the US occupation forces.

Ninwa Province.

Mosul.

US soldier reported killed in bomb attack in Mosul’s al-Ghabat area.

In a dispatch posted at 4:35pm Mecca time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column on the main road in the al-Ghabat area in the middle of Mosul in northern Iraq.

The Mosul correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road in al-Ghabat that leads to the Presidential Palace ﾐ a facility that the American military has taken over and turned into their headquarters ﾐ blew up by a passing American column.

The explosion disabled a US troop transport, killing one American soldier and wounding four more of them, some of them severely.

Two Resistance bombs rip through puppet police patrols in quick succession.

In a dispatch posted at 11:30am Mecca time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that two Iraqi Resistance bombs exploded by two separate puppet police patrols in the al-Intisar neighborhood of central Mosul.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported Mosul residents who witnessed the attacks as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the main road in the al-Intisar neighborhood near al-Hudur Square blew up as a puppet police patrol was driving past. The explosion disabled one patrol car and killed two puppet police and wounded three more.

Then, less than 10 minutes later, a second bomb exploded near where the first one had gone off. The target of the second bomb was another puppet police patrol. That explosion disabled another patrol car and wounded three puppet policemen.

Al-Basrah Province.

Puppet regime spy chief for Abu al-Khasib district of al-Basrah severely wounded in Resistance attack.

In a dispatch posted at 5:50pm Mecca time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters equipped with light and medium arms attacked the puppet director of intelligence in the Abu al-Khasib district south of al-Basrah Friday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of the al-Qiblah area in the middle of the city as saying that Resistance fighters attacked the motorcade of the puppet spy chief Jabburi Karim Jabburi as it was driving along a street in the al-Qiblah area. Witnesses said that the Resistance fighters left the scene after severely injuring Jabburi and killing his driver.

British, puppet troops stage raids, searches, arrests of Sunnis in al-Basrah.

In a dispatch posted at 12:50pm Mecca time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a large force of puppet “Iraqi National Guards” and puppet “Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir)” backed up by British occupation forces raided the predominantly Sunni Manawi Lajm area in southern al-Basrah in the early hours of Friday morning. There they arrested 12 local Sunnis including the Imam of a mosque.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the puppet “National Guards” and “Shock Troops” deployed in force in the area, sealing it off completely as they raided houses inside the district for two hours. It was the fourth raid on the area in a few months.

In another incident, unknown armed men opened fire on the muezzin of the Daym Khazzam mosque in az-Zubayr, some 20km southwest of al-Basrah, after the nighttime prayer Thursday night, seriously wounding him.
