After Resistance bomb blasts US troops, al-Fallujah Sniper kills two more American soldiers.

In a dispatch posted at 8:50pm Mecca time Monday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Iraqi Resistance marksman known as the al-Fallujah Sniper had shot and killed two more US soldiers on the main road in al-Fallujah, some 60km west of Baghdad on Monday afternoon.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a group of US troops at around 4pm local time Monday afternoon. As American troops began deploying around the area after the blast, two of them were cut down by the Resistance sharpshooter’s bullets. Both died immediately.

After the shootings, US troops fanned out in the nearby areas and markets, closing the road to the market and then ordering all the shops closed as well. As of 5pm local time Monday afternoon, the market remained closed.

Three US troops reported killed in Resistance bombing near American headquarters in al-Fallujah.

In a dispatch posted at 3:55pm Mecca time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had mounted tow attacks on US forces in al-Fallujah, some 60km west of Baghdad, during the previous 24 hours.

The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the Resistance had fired five 82mm mortar rounds into the joint US-Iraqi puppet army headquarters, setting off explosions and sending smoke billowing up from within the compound.

In the second attack, an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded near the headquarters of US force in the middle of al-Fallujah as an American military column was driving past The explosion destroyed one Humvee, killing three US troops who were aboard it, the correspondent reported.

Al-Fallujah Sniper fells another US soldier in al-Fallujah market.

In a dispatch posted at 11:20am Mecca time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed an American soldier in the market area in the middle of al-Fallujah on Sunday evening.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported shopkeepers in the market as saying that the soldier was part of a foot patrol of American troops going through the market when he was struck by a sharpshooter’s bullet, killing him instantly.

US forces surrounded the market and wrecked the shops there after the shooting, smashing furniture, possessions, and the goods that were on sale in the course of a “search” for the “al-Fallujah Sniper” who has been haunting them for weeks. The destructive search turned up nothing.

On 17 January 2006 the US military offered a reward for up to US$100,000 for any information about the al-Fallujah Sniper who by that time had reportedly killed 15 American troops in the city.

US soldier reported killed in bombing of convoy west of al-Fallujah.

In a dispatch posted at 10:50am Mecca time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by an American convoy of trucks hauling provisions to US bases on the main road in the al-Bu ‘Alun area west of al-Fallujah.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of the al-Bu ‘Alun village as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the main road to al-Fallujah blew up as the convoy drove past. The explosion set one of the trucks on fire, killing an American soldier the correspondent reported.

Two Iraqi puppet “National Guard” sappers killed trying to disarm bomb in as-Sayyidiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 4pm Mecca time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a detachment of sappers in Iraqi puppet “National Guards in the as-Sayyidiyah area of southern Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Baghdad as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the main road in as-Sayyidiyah blew up as the sappers tried to disarm it. The explosion killed two of the sappers and wounded two more of them.

Two US troops reported killed in bombing on road to US airbase in at-Taji.

In a dispatch posted at 3:20pm Mecca time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US column on the road to the American airbase in the northern Baghdad suburb of at-Taji.

The at-Taji correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet army as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the main road to the base blew up as a column of several armored vehicles and Humvees was driving past. The explosion completely destroyed one of the vehicles, killing two US soldiers and wounding a third.

US admits two American pilots killed near at-Taji Sunday.

The US military issued a statement on Monday admitting that two reconnaissance pilots had been killed on Sunday when they were accompanying a US ground patrol in the area of the northern Baghdad suburb of at-Taji.

The American announcement, monitored by Quds Press, said that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded in at-Taji, some 20km north of Baghdad, killing the two pilots and wounding a third. The American announcement said that the flyers were part of the 586th reconnaissance group.

Resistance fighters ambush motorcade of puppet “Member of Parliament.”

In a dispatch posted at 1:10pm Mecca time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked the motorcade of a member of the new puppet “Iraqi Parliament” in the southwest Baghdad district of al-Jadiriyah

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the neighborhood as saying that Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons attacked the motorcade, damaging the vehicles and severely wounding two aides to the puppet “Member of Parliament.”

Resistance car bomber blasts puppet “National Guard” column near al-A‘zamiyah in Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 12:50pm Mecca time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter drove an explosives-laden car into a column of Iraqi puppet “National Guards” on the main road near the entrance to the al-A‘zamiyah district in northern Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-A‘zamiyah as saying that the car bomber blew up his car as a puppet “National Guard” patrol was driving alongside him. The explosion destroyed two military vehicles, killing five puppet “National Guards” and wounding seven more of them.

Resistance bomb in al-Bu ‘Ithah south of Baghdad blasts puppet army foot patrol.

In a dispatch posted at 11:20am Mecca time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a foot patrol of Iraqi puppet army troops in the al-Bu ‘Ithah area of southern Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-Bu ‘Ithah as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of a road used by Iraqi puppet forces to deploy their patrols blew up by one passing foot patrol. The explosion killed four of the puppet army soldiers and wounded five more of them.

Resistance car bomber blasts puppet police checkpoint at gate to Iranian embassy in Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 11am Mecca time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter drove an explosives-laden car into an Iraqi puppet police check point at the gat to the Iranian embassy in the as-Salihiyah area of Baghdad near the Republican Palace and the so-called “Green Zone” where the Americans have established the headquarters of their occupation.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that the Resistance fighter broke through the security barricades and blew up the car at the checkpoint.

Preliminary reports indicated that the blast destroyed three puppet police vehicles, killing five puppet policemen and wounding seven more people, two of them civilians who happened to be near the Iranian Embassy gate at the time of the blast. The source said that the casualty toll was likely to rise as the hours pass, however.

Quds Press reported that the explosion also caused some damage to the embassy building but said that there were no reports of injuries among embassy employees or staff.

Puppet regime forces rushed to the scene and surrounded the blast zone as US helicopters were observed prowling the skies overhead.

Car bomb detonates on road in apparent malfunction.

In a dispatch posted at 12:40pm Mecca time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter blew himself up in an explosives-laden car on the main road that leads to the al-Mahmudiyah city hospital.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the car blew up on the road without striking any target, as there were no US or Iraqi puppet forces in the area at the time of the blast.

It was thought that the explosion was probably the result of a technical malfunction that set off the explosives prematurely, killing the driver and wounding four civilians who were in the area at the time.

Resistance bomb kills puppet policeman in central Kirkuk.

In a dispatch posted at 3:30pm Mecca time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a column of Iraqi puppet police in the al-Wasiti neighborhood of central Kirkuk in northern Iraq.

The Kirkuk correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-Wasiti as saying that the bomb disabled a patrol vehicle, killing one puppet policeman and wounding five more of them.

Resistance bomb in Mosul reportedly kills US soldier.

In a dispatch posted at 11am Mecca time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US column on the main road in the al-Masarif neighborhood in the middle of Mosul in northern Iraq.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-Masarif as saying that a bomb that had been planted on the main road blew up by an American column, disabling a US armored vehicle, killing one American soldier and wounding three more US troops. Afterwards, American forces surrounded the area and prevented anyone from approaching.
