Fallujah.

Fierce fighting rages Friday night into Saturday morning.

The city of al-Fallujah experienced the fiercest fighting on Friday night and into Saturday morning that has occurred since the US forces seized control of the city in January 2005.

The Quds Press correspondent in al-Fallujah reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked US troops on 40 Street in the city and in the al-Mu‘allimin neighborhood in the center of town, sparking battles that lasted for several hours and left numerous American troops dead or wounded. Resistance fighters blasted the Americans with rocket-propelled grenades and light and medium weapons and also pounded the headquarters that the Americans had set up in the former Youth Center downtown with mortars.

Local residents stayed indoors as most streets were closed and an atmosphere of tension pervaded the city Quds Press reported. American helicopters prowled the city at very low altitudes as US warplanes repeatedly broke the sound barrier over the city. Unmanned American spy planes also flew about the city, one of them being shot down.

After the heavy combat, US forces began a campaign of mass arrests of young and old alike, Quds Press reported. American snipers posted themselves atop roofs of commercial buildings and multi-story homes in al-Fallujah in an attempt to impose their control over the city. At the time of writing, a large part of the city population was still blockaded in the closed-off part of town where the fighting had raged.

Fierce fighting reported in al-Fallujah Saturday morning.

In a bulletin posted at 10:10am Mecca time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that fierce fighting had taken place between Iraqi Resistance forces and joint US and Iraqi puppet troops in the neighborhoods of al-Mu‘allimin and al-Muhandisin in central al-Fallujah.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of the city who witnessed the clashes as saying that Resistance fighters equipped with light arms and machine guns had battled American and Iraqi puppet troops as they tried to encircle and contain the part of the city where the fighting was taking place. At the time of writing, the correspondent had no exact information on the nature or extent of losses.

US launches raids and searches in ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah.

In a dispatch posted at 12:40pm Mecca time Saturday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US forces had launched a campaign of raids and searches in several neighborhoods of ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah, southwest of the city of al-Fallujah.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses who live in ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah as saying that the US forces began storming into houses in the various parts of the city at dawn Saturday. They also raided the headquarters of the Brotherhood for Development and Growth association, ransacking the place and wrecking the furniture. The reason for the attack was unknown, the correspondent reported.

Resistance bomb rips through puppet police patrol late Saturday morning.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by an Iraqi puppet army patrol on the main street by the new bridge in al-Fallujah, some 60km west of Baghdad, at 11am local time Saturday morning.

The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local witnesses as saying that the bomb went off as a patrol of three Nissan pickups belonging to the puppet police was driving past. The explosion completely destroyed one of the vehicles. Although the correspondent could not determine how many deaths their might have been among the six puppet soldiers who were aboard the pickup, he reported that all of them were wounded in the blast and remained sprawled around the street until the arrival of other puppet forces who evacuated them.

Resistance bomb rips through US foot patrol early Saturday afternoon.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US foot patrol in ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah, southwest of the city of al-Fallujah, at about 2pm local time Saturday afternoon.

The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the bomb went off south of the housing complex in the area as a patrol of some 15 American troops was walking by. The correspondent reported that he had been unable to ascertain the number of Americans killed in the blast because US helicopters hurried to the scene, arriving just 15 minutes after the explosion, to evacuate the casualties.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by an Iraqi puppet army patrol on the main street by the new bridge in al-Fallujah, some 60km west of Baghdad, at 11am local time Saturday morning.

Ar-Ramadi.

US air raid kills seven civilians following reported death of two US troops in ar-Ramadi Saturday evening.

In a dispatch posted at 5:50pm Mecca time Saturday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier US warplanes had attacked a family home in the city of ar-Ramadi.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a medical source in the city as saying that four children had been killed and three more wounded in the American air raid. Tow women and one man also perished in the house.

The correspondent reported that as of the time of writing, the Americans had offered no explanation for the attack on the civilian home. Iraqi puppet troops spoke to Mafkarat al-Islam, however and claimed that the reason for the air raid on the house was that an Iraqi Resistance sharpshooter had used the building about one hour earlier to open fire on American occupation soldiers, killing two of them. The Iraqi puppet troops said that the American assault on the house was in response to that alleged attack.

Ar-Rutbah.

Resistance ambushes puppet “Border Guards” in ar-Rutbah, near Jordanian frontier.

In a bulletin posted at 5:40pm Mecca time Saturday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters had attacked a force of puppet “Border Guards”

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported sources in ar-Rutbah, an western Iraqi town not far from the Jordanian border, as saying that the Resistance had attacked a “Border Guard patrol of several military vehicles, killing more than 10 of the “Guards.”

The correspondent wrote that at the time of reporting, US troops an other “Border Guards” had encircled the area where the attack took place and had begun to search for the Resistance fighters.

Baghdad.

Resistance bombards “Green Zone,” al-Muthanna Airfield in central Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 6:20pm Mecca time Saturday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces bombarded the area of central Baghdad around the Republican Palace, dubbed the “Green Zone” by the Americans, where the US has established the headquarters of its occupation in the country. Also targeted in the attack was nearby al-Muthanna Airfield in central Baghdad, which has also been turned into an American military stronghold.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that two medium-range rockets had blasted into the “Green Zone” and that two Grad rockets had slammed into al-Muthanna Airfield setting off explosions and sending pillars of smoke billowing into the air.

Two Resistance car bombings target puppet “Shock Troops” in Baghdad al-Jadidah.

In a dispatch posted at 5:45pm Mecca time Saturday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that two Iraqi Resistance car bombs had exploded by puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troop” columns in the Baghdad al-Jadidah area in the southeast of the occupied Iraqi capital.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that one explosives-packed car that had been parked by the side of the main road in Baghdad al-Jadidah blew up as a patrol of “Shock Troops” was driving past. The explosion disabled one of the vehicles in the patrol, killing three “Shock Troops” and wounding thee more of them.

In a separate incident, an Iraqi Resistance fida’ fighter drove an explosives-laden car into a checkpoint manned by “Shock Troops,” killing four of them and wounding two more of them.

US woman journalist abducted in al-‘Adl neighborhood in Baghdad.

In a bulletin posted at 12:20pm Mecca time Saturday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi puppet security sources had announced that an American woman journalist had been abducted in the al-‘Adl neighborhood of Baghdad and her Iraqi translator killed.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam indicated that the report, which was carried on the al-Jazeera satellite news network a short time earlier, said that no further details on the abduction were at that time available.

Resistance mounts two-stage attack on puppet “National Guard” patrol.

In a dispatch posted at 12:30pm Mecca time Saturday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces carried out a two-pronged attack on an Iraqi puppet “National Guards” in the al-‘Amiriyah area of western Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-‘Amiriyah as saying that Iraqi Resistance fighters began the attack by shelling the puppet patrol with two medium-range Katyusha rockets. They then opened fire on the patrol with light and medium weapons.

The attack set fire to one of the vehicles in the column and killed four puppet troops and wounded three more of them.

Two US troops reported killed in bombing on rural road in ar-Ridwaniyah.

In a dispatch posted at 12:01pm Mecca time Saturday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US military column on a farm road in western ar-Ridwaniyah, a southwestern district of Baghdad.

The ar-Ridwaniyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses who live in the Suraysir area to the west of ar-Ridwaniyah as saying that a bomb that had been planted on a rural road blew up as a US column was driving past. The witnesses reported that the bomb disabled one Humvee, killing two US soldiers and wounding two more.

Resistance bomb blasts puppet “National Guard” troop transport south of Tikrit.

In a dispatch posted at 6:25pm Mecca time Saturday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a column of Iraqi puppet “National Guard” troops on the main road south of Tikrit.

The Tikrit correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road blew up as the patrol passed by. The explosion destroyed one troop transport vehicle, killing six puppet guards and wounding four more of them.

At-Tarimiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 5:40pm Mecca time Saturday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US military column in at-Tarimiyah, north of Baghdad.

The at-Tarimiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the main road in the city had exploded by a convoy of several American military trucks and Humvees, destroying one truck and killing two US troops.

Resistance bombing in al-Latifiyah leaves one US soldier reported dead.

In a dispatch posted at 6pm Mecca time Saturday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US military column on the main road in al-Latifiyah south of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road to Baghdad blew up by a column of several US Humvees. The explosion disabled one Humvee, killing one US soldier and wounding a second.

Resistance bomb targets puppet police patrol in al-Latifiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 11:30am Mecca time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a puppet police patrol on the main road south of al-Latifiyah, which is located south of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-Latifiyah who witnessed the bombing as saying that an explosive device that had been planted by the side of the road to the center of the city blew p as a puppet police patrol was driving by. The explosion disabled one patrol vehicle, killing on puppet policeman and seriously wounding three more of them.

Resistance pounds US occupied airport in Ba‘qubah.

In a dispatch posted at 11:20am Mecca time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had bombarded the ‘Abbas ibn Firnas Airport which US forces have turned into a local headquarters of theirs in the Ba‘qubah area northeast of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet “Rapid Deployment Force” as saying that eight mortar shells had blasted into the US headquarters.

Ninwa Province.

Mosul.

Resistance bomb blasts US armored vehicle in Mosul, wounding American soldiers.

In a dispatch posted at 6:30pm Mecca time Saturday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb went off by a US military column on the main road in the as-Sukkar area in the middle of the northern Iraqi city of Mosul.

The Mosul correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the blast disabled one American armored vehicle, wounding four US troops who were aboard it.

In a dispatch posted at 11am Mecca time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US military column on the main road from Mosul south to Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road to Baghdad had blown up as a column of several American Bradley armored vehicles and Humvees was driving past. The explosion completely destroyed on Humvee, killing the four US troops who were aboard it the correspondent reported.
