Al-Qa’im.

US airplanes attack home, kill seven Iraqi civilians, five of them children.

US warplanes rocketed a house located outside the center of al-Qa’im, near the Iraq-Syria border at dawn on Friday.

The al-Qa’im correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a medical source in the Makr adh-Dhi’b Village clinic, located 6km from the Syrian border ﾐ the only medical facility in the village ﾐ as saying that seven people, including five children and a woman, were killed in the American attack. The medical worker said that the Americans had attacked a clay house, one like most of the homes in the little village.

Makr adh-Dhi’b village is know for the fact that in 2004 US aircraft bombed a wedding taking place there, killing dozens of civilians, on the pretext that members of the Resistance were attending the wedding.

Ar-Ramadi.

Resistance shells US headquarters in central ar-Ramadi midday Friday.

Iraqi Resistance forces bombarded the former Immigration Department Building in ar-Ramadi, now used by the US occupation forces as one of their headquarters, with five mortar rounds at 1:30pm local time Friday, afternoon.

The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that worshippers at the al-Haqq mosque which is located near the scene of the attack as saying that they saw American ambulances evacuating dead and wounded minutes after the barrage. The correspondent reported that the US forces closed off the area and sealed roads leading to the scene of the attack. The US forces did not fire back as they usually do, however.

As-Saqlawiyah.

Resistance fighters ambush, kill puppet police director in as-Saqlawiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 12:01pm Mecca time Friday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters had attacked the motorcade of the director and assistant director of puppet police in as-Saqlawiyah, northwest of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of as-Saqlawiyah who witnessed the attack as saying that Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons killed the director of the puppet police of as-Saqlawiyah along with three officers and wounded two more of the director’s body guard.

Al-Fallujah.

Resistance bomb near US headquarters in al-Fallujah reportedly kills US soldier.

In a bulletin posted at 11:25am Mecca time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US patrol on the main road near the US military headquarters in the middle of al-Fallujah, some 60km west of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Fallujah as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road blew up as a patrol of four American Humvees drove past. The explosion disabled a Humvee, killing one US soldier and wounding two more.

Resistance bomb in ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah reportedly kills three US soldiers.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military patrol in the ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah area south of al-Fallujah on Friday. The blast destroyed one Ameican Humve, killing all three US troops aboard it, according to puppet police sources who spoke with Quds Press.

Immediately after the explosion, US forces threw down a security perimeter around the area and began raiding and searching nearby houses, arresting two persons.

American sniper kills Iraqi woman and her two children as they sit in their car Thursday night.

Sources in the puppet police in al-Fallujah said that an American sniper opened fire on an Iraqi woman who was sitting in her family car in the middle of the city on Thursday night, killing her and her 7-year-old son and 6-year-old daughter.

A source in al-Fallujah General Hospital confirmed the report saying that “the hospital admitted three bodies: those of a woman and two children with gunshot wounds to the head and neck. The source said that the wounds indicated that they had been hit by American sniper gunfire.

Baghdad.

Car bomb blasts US column in ad-Durah Friday morning.

An Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by a US military column in the southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah on Friday morning, a source in the Iraqi puppet police told Quds Press.

The source said that the car bomb that had been parked by the side of the road blew up as the US column drove past on its way to the nearby al-Mikanik neighborhood. The explosion totally destroyed one US military vehicle.

After the blast, US and Iraqi puppet forces surrounded the area, preventing anyone approaching, as US helicopters prowled the skies overhead.

Witnesses said that the car bomb had a fida’i fighter at the wheel and that it suddenly accelerated to high speed, blasting into a vehicle in the American column destroying the vehicle and killing all aboard it.

Bodies of three Sunnis who had been arrested Wednesday, found shot to death.

In a dispatch posted at 9pm Mecca time Friday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the bodies of three Sunnis who had been shot to death execution style had been discovered in a garbage dump in the al-Iskan area of western Baghdad.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a relative of one of the dead men who works as a caretaker of the al-Iskan Mosque, as saying that his brother and two other frequent mosque worshippers had been arrested on Wednesday, 28 December by puppet “Interior Ministry Shock Troops” who accused them of belonging to the “Wahhabi sect,” as they called it.

Western Baghdad’s al-Iskan neighborhood, which is inhabited by Sunnis and a minority of Shi‘ah, is regarded as one of the poor areas of the city.

Resistance fighters battle Iraqi puppet troops in western Baghdad’s al-‘Amiriyah district.

In a dispatch posted at 4:35pm Mecca time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that intermittent clashes were taking place at that time between Iraqi Resistance fighters and Iraqi puppet army troops in the al-‘Amiriyah area of western Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported from the scene that one Iraqi puppet soldier had bee killed and another wounded. A car carrying Iraqi Resistance fighters was seen picking up a wounded man and driving away to an unknown location. No further information was initially available.

Resistance bombards concentration of US, Iraqi puppet troops in ad-Durah.

In a dispatch posted at 12:20pm Mecca time Friday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had bombarded a concentration of US and Iraqi puppet army troops in the southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of the Abu Dushayr section of ad-Durah who witnessed the barrage as saying that four 82mm mortar rounds had blasted into the troop concentration, sending plumes of smoke rising from burning US and Iraqi puppet vehicles.

Resistance bomb blasts puppet police column Friday afternoon.

In a dispatch posted at 6:50pm Mecca time Friday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by an Iraqi puppet police patrol in the al-Iskandariyah area south of Baghdad on Friday afternoon.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that the bomb had killed one Iraqi puppet policeman and wounded at least two more. The injured men were taken to Baghdad’s Ibn Sina Hospital for treatment.

Two US troops reported killed in roadside bombing in an-Nahrawan in Diyala Province.

In a dispatch posted at 11:40am Mecca time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US military column on the highway to the city of an-Nahrawan northeast of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the highway to an-Nahrawan had exploded, disabling one US Humvee and killing two American troops and severely wounding two more of them.

Al-Mada’in.

Badr Brigade gunmen accompanied by Iranians wreck “Palace of Khosrow” ruins in al-Mada’in (Ctesiphon).

In a dispatch posted at 9:10pm Mecca time Friday night, the al-Mada’in correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that members of the pro-American Shi‘i sectarian Badr Brigades and more than 11 Iranians together with a large armed force with a number of vehicles destroyed what had remained of the ancient “Palace of Khosrow” and the buildings near by.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Antiquities Department in al-Mada’in, Khalid ‘Abd ‘Ayyash who went to the scene as saying that the Badr gangs accompanied by the Iranians went into the great monument and stayed there for more than three hours, wrecking and destroying what had remained standing of the ancient ruins.

‘Ayyash said that after the Badr Brigade and Iranian forces left, he found that they had torn up the palace of Khosrow by the foundation. Four columns had also been wrecked as was a small arch that encircled the outer gates of the palace. They gave no reason for their act of wanton destruction.

The correspondent reported that the same site had also been attacked when the US and puppet forces stormed into the city earlier this year. At that time more than 50 percent of the ruins were razed.

Ninwa Province.

Mosul.

US, puppet forces stage mass sectarian arrests of Sunnis in Mosul, taking 109 citizens prisoner.

In a dispatch posted at 8:40pm Mecca time Friday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US and Iraqi puppet security forces carried out a campaign of raids and arrests in various neighborhoods of the northern city of Mosul during Thursday night. The house-to-house raids lasted for about six hours and resulted in the arrest of 109 Sunni citizens ranging in age from 15 to 50 years, according to the director of the human rights center in the city.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported Dr. ‘Abd al-Hadi ad-Darraji as saying that the people were all arrested because of their religious identity ﾐ all of them being Sunni. Dr. ad-Darraji said that one person was held for about 15 minutes but then released after it was established from his identity papers that he was a Shi‘i. Ad-Darraji said that the campaign was the most violent in the city for the last three months.

Resistance bomb wounds US troops in Mosul.

In a dispatch posted at 11:50am Mecca time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US military column on the main road in the middle of Mosul in northern Iraq.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of Mosul who witnessed the attack as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road near the Tomb of the Prophet Yunus blew up as a column of several American Humvees was driving past. The explosion disabled one Humvee, wounding three US troops.

Resistance attacks Peshmergah checkpoint in Irbil Friday morning.

Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked a checkpoint run by the pro-American Kurdish separatist Peshmergah militia in the northern Iraqi city of Irbil Friday morning local time.

The Irbil correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a Peshmergah source as saying that Resistance fighters attacked the Peshmergah gunmen charged with guarding the outer roads. The source said that after the attack, the Resistance fighters withdrew from the area.

Al-Basrah Province.

Az-Zubayr.

Resistance marksman shoots and kills British soldier in az-Zubayr, south of Baghdad Friday afternoon.

In a dispatch posted at 5:35pm Mecca time Friday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier an Iraqi Resistance marksman had shot and killed a British occupation soldier in the az-Zubayr, south of al-Basrah in southern Iraq.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported the commander of an Iraqi puppet police patrol as saying that an Iraqi Resistance marksman had opened fire on the British soldier, striking him in the neck and causing to fall dead instantly. After the attack, British occupation troops closed off one of the streets in the az-Zubayr area for half an hour as they searched the area for some sign of the sharpshooter. They found nothing.
