Former Iraqi Ambassador: guilt for criminal bombings of Iraqi churches lies with those who have been trying to sow sectarian division within Iraq for years: the US, Zionist, and Iranian secret services.
Seven bombs blasted Iraqi Christian churches in Baghdad ミ where five churches were targeted ミ Kirkuk, and Mosul on Sunday. At least nine people were reported killed in the five bombings in the occupied Iraqi capital. Three more were reported dead and six injured in Kirkuk, and another four were reported dead in Mosul.
Although some media outlets sought to place the blame for the attacks on the Resistance, the overtly sectarian character of the assaults were clearly not consistent with the interests of the Iraqi Resistance, which has always worked for national unity against the foreign occupation and its local stooges. The US occupation since it arrived in the country in 2003 has been promoting such sectarian features as a puppet “Governing Council” and later a puppet “Parliament” divided along sectarian lines. The US has consciously sought to turn Shi‘i Iraqis against Sunnis, attempting to manipulate religious sectarian differences within the country.
In response to the criminal attacks on Iraqi churches, former Iraqi Ambassador to India and Viet Nam, Salah al-Mukhtar, wrote on Sunday that the party to blame for the attacks on Iraqi churches is the same party that has been promoting sectarian division within Iraq since the start of the occupation ミ namely “American intelligence in cooperation with ‘Israeli’ and Iranian intelligence agencies.” Al-Mukhtar wrote, in an article carried by the pro-Resistance albasrah.net website, that intelligence services of the US, “Israel,” and Iran are “the ones who have an interest in Iraqi vs. Iraqi infighting and in inciting an Iraqi civil war to change the course of the struggle from a battle against the occupation and its stooges into a struggle between those who had been fighting the occupation.”
Al-Mukhtar noted that in the last three months, certain groups and individuals had emerged that proclaimed their support for the Iraqi Resistance but then, when the occasion arose, promoted divisive sectarianism contributing to confessionalist hostility and trying to project such outlooks on the Resistance, blaming them for attacks on Shi‘i places of worship or spreading rumors about Resistance leaders or otherwise attempting to undercut united Iraqi support for the Resistance.
In denouncing the criminal attacks on the Iraqi churches, al-Mukhtar emphasized that there must be no tolerance of those who seek to tarnish the image of the Resistance by spreading sectarian violence and then trying to attribute it to the Resistance forces.

As-Sulaymaniyah Province.
As-Sulaymaniyah.
Administration of as-Sulaymaniyah orders destruction of all domesticated fowl following the two deaths from bird flu H5N1. Deadly epidemic highly feared as occupation has crippled normal preventive measures.
The puppet administration of the northern Iraqi city of as-Sulaymaniyah announced that deadly bird flu was spreading in a number of areas of the city, in particular the areas of Bashdar, Batwin, Shanakhsi, and Safah Asus. The puppet administration called on local residents to cooperate with the puppet “Ministries of Agriculture, Health, and the Interior” to destroy all types of live domesticated fowl.
The statement issued by the as-Sulaymaniyah Administration, a copy of which was obtained by the correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam in nearby Irbil, said: “The Presidency of the Government of the Kurdistan Region calls on all citizens of the region, and particularly of the districts of Bashdar, Batwin, Shanakhsi, and Safah Asus, to assist the Ministries of Agriculture, Health, and the Interior with the aim of destroying all forms of live domesticated fowl in their possession, in view of the fact, as you know, that the bird influenza epidemic is present, as the epidemic has spread in some districts.”
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Dr. ‘Abd al-Muttalib Muhammad, the puppet “Iraqi Minister of Health” announced that two cases of death from deadly Avian Influenza (H5N1) had been discovered: Tijan ‘Abd al-Qadir, a 14-year-old girl, has been identified as having died of the disease and then a few days later, her maternal uncle also succumbed to the bird flu.
Quds Press reported that cases of bird flu were known in the northern Iraqi Kurdistan region, where it is thought that the epidemic had spread from Turkey. The puppet “Minister of Health” of the Kurdistan region, Muhammad Khushnaw said that there were at least two cases of suspected bird flu, both receiving treatment in the Teaching Hospital in as-Sulaymaniyah. Quds Press quoted Khushnaw as saying that the condition of the two patients in hospital in as-Sulaymaniyah was similar to that of the girl who was thought to have died of bird flu. Quds Press reported, however, that tests had subsequently indicated that the girl had died of inflammation of the lung.
In any case, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a national campaign has been called to destroy all terrestrial birds in Baghdad and the regions of Iraq likely to be hit by the epidemic, including pet decorative birds.
Dr. Muhammad al-A‘raji, the General Director of the Iraqi Ministry of Health Secretariat told Mafkarat al-Islam: “if the disease spreads in Iraq, it will claim thousands of lives within a matter of days because protective measures have been paralyzed and because of a lack of expertise in dealing with epidemics of this type.”

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police in an-Nasiriyah as saying that the Resistance car bomber managed to break through the security barriers around the center and blow up himself and his vehicle near a gathering of puppet “Shock Troops as they prepared for a review that they were going to put on there.
The explosion killed three of the “Shock Troops” and wounded another 37 of them, some of them severely. Three of those wounded are officers in the puppet “Shock Troop” forces.
