HAARPさんに指摘されてあらためて、このISTSプロジェクトをあちこち除いてみたのですが、まず、公には『かつて大量破壊兵器開発にかかわっていた旧ソ連の科学者たちの平和利用』ですって！笑ってしまいますね。なぜって、この1545プロジェクトの米国パートナー、テクストロンシステムズはもろ戦争屋さん。

ULF Electromagnetic Field at a Ground Observation Network

Brief Description of Technology
The network of digital search-coil magnetometers involves stations in East Siberia, the European part of Russia, Canada, and Alaska. The uniqueness of the research is in the employment of simultaneous observations of various ULF signals, such as sudden geomagnetic storm commencement, ion-cyclotron and Alfven waves, generated in the radiation belts, electromagnetic signals from earthquakes, and wave effects of the ponderomotive interaction of plasma particles with Alfven waves and ion-cyclotron waves in the magnetosphere. Ponderomotive effects in the equatorial zone of the magnetosphere have now been studied, and a goniometry method of the source location has been developed.

Special Facilities in Use and Their Specifications
The network of digital high-sensitivity search-coil magnetometers equipped with GPS receivers to provide exact time service.
