Al-Anbar Province.

Ar-Ramadi.

Resistance bombards US headquarters in ar-Ramadi Wednesday.

In a bulletin posted at 5:45pm Mecca time Wednesday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier Iraqi Resistance forces had fired 14 mortar rounds into a US camp in the middle of ar-Ramadi, some 110km west of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that 14 mortar shells blasted into the former Immigration building, which the US troops took over and turned into one of their local headquarters some two months ago. The barrage destroyed the second floor of the building, killing a number of US troops. Two American helicopters later landed near the building and evacuated several dead and wounded US troops from the stricken facility.

Al-Qa’im.

Resistance land mine blasts American foot patrol early Wednesday morning.

An Iraqi Resistance land mine exploded under an American military column on foot in the al-Karabilah area near al-Qa’im in western Iraq at 7:15 am local time Wednesday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet army as saying that the blast killed or wounded four US soldiers.

Al-Fallujah.

Polling station in al-Karmah blown up.

In a dispatch posted at 10pm Mecca time Wednesday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short time earlier Resistance fighters had attacked a polling station that was to be used on Thursday in the US-sponsored “elections” in the al-Karmah area near al-Fallujah in western Iraq. The Resistance fighters completely demolished the station.

The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported Muhammad ‘Abbas the chief overseer of the election station as saying by telephone that the Resistance fighters drove the guards out of the building. They then planted two gas cylinders and quantities of explosives in the building and blew it up.

In a dispatch posted at 11:55am Mecca time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter drove an explosives-laden pickup into a US military column in western al-Fallujah.

The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the attacker blasted into a column of American Zeal personnel carriers that were on their way to al-Habbaniyah. The blast killed five American soldiers who were aboard one of the personnel carriers. The correspondent reported that the other US troops were unable to extract the soldiers from inside the blasted vehicle.

Baghdad.

US helicopters attack areas in southern Baghdad.

In a bulletin posted at 10:05pm Mecca time Wednesday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that at that moment US helicopters were bombarding predominantly Sunni areas of Baghdad.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the US helicopters were firing at the ‘Arab Jabbur area to the south of the city and at the village of ash-Shaykh Salsal also south of Baghdad. No information on casualties or damage was immediately available.

Resistance bombards US “Green Zone” twice on eve of American “election” theatrics.

In spite of the intensive and tightened security measures that the US occupation and Iraqi puppet regime have taken in the run-up to the American-sponsored “election” on Thursday, Iraqi Resistance fighters unleashed a Katyusha rocket attack on the American occupation headquarters in Baghdad at 11am local time Wednesday and then followed up with a second attack Wednesday night.

In a dispatch posted at 3:20pm Mecca time Wednesday afternoon, the correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that the Resistance barrage on the area around the Iraqi Republican Palace ﾐ a part of Baghdad that the US forces call “the Green Zone” where the headquarters of the American occupation and its puppet regime are located ﾐ inflicted dead and wounded in the ranks of the US and Iraqi puppet forces in addition to wounding four journalists, one of them a foreign woman.

The source said that the Resistance fired the Katyusha rockets from the southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah. Only one of them landed near the Tigris river, the other five blasted into the middle and southern parts of the “Green Zone,” he said.

As of mid-afternoon the time of reporting, the occupation forces had not reported or commented on the Resistance attack.

Then in a bulletin posted at 9:10pm Mecca time Wednesday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Iraqi Resistance had bombarded the “Green Zone” a second time in less than 12 hours.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that four rockets or shells had blasted into the “Green Zone” just minutes earlier, sending thick plumes of smoke rising into the sky over the area.

Four Resistance bombs rip through US convoy on way to airport in western Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 2:35pm Mecca time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that four Iraqi Resistance bombs had exploded simultaneously by a US column on al-Munazzamah Street in western Baghdad’s al-‘Amiriyah district.

The al-‘Amiriyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the American column had been on its way to Saddam International Airport when the attack occurred. The correspondent wrote that two of the four bombs hit targets in the column, inflicting casualties among the American troops.

At the time of reporting US troops were still surrounding the area where the multiple bomb attack had taken place and no information was available on the nature or extent of US casualties.

Second tank truck filled with forged election papers discovered in Iraq.

Mafkarat al-Islam reported on Wednesday that US occupation forces had discovered a second truck packed with forged election papers supporting the Shi‘i sectarian alliance backed by pro-American Shi‘i religious authority ‘Ali as-Sistani.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a high-level source in the Iraqi puppet “Interior Ministry” security service as saying that a fuel tanker with tens of thousands of election papers inside had been found one day after the discovery of a similar vehicle in the Badrah area in southeastern Iraq. The source said that the second tanker was found with three individuals aboard, two Iraqis believed to belong to the Badr Brigades and one Iranian citizen.

Shi‘i sectarian militias arrest 1,950 Sunnis in 16-hour period.

In a dispatch posted at 1:05pm Mecca time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Shi‘i sectarian militias have been carrying out mass arrests among Sunnis on the eve of the US-backed “elections” set for Thursday, 15 December.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that the total number of Sunni Iraqis arrested over the course of 16 hours on Tuesday and until dawn on Wednesday throughout the country was more than 1,950 individuals. The correspondent noted that nothing was know about where the captives were taken or what their fate was to be. Many persons swept up in such massive sectarian waves of arrests have later been found dead with clear signs of torture on their bodies.

Ba‘qubah.

Resistance sharpshooter reportedly kills US soldier in Ba‘qubah.

In a dispatch posted at 12:25pm Mecca time Wednesday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman had shot and killed a US Marine at a checkpoint in Ba‘qubah, northwest of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported Major ‘Ali Mawhan of the local puppet police as saying that a US Marine who was standing in a checkpoint in the middle of the city was shot and killed when a Resistance sharpshooter atop the roof of a tall building opened fire.

After the attack, American forces raced to search the nearby buildings but found no sign of the Resistance fighter.
