Four US troops reported killed in Resistance bombing in ar-Ramadi.

In a dispatch posted at 11:45am Mecca time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US Marine foot patrol opposite the al-Khalidiyah Mosque in ar-Ramadi in full view of local people.

The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the explosion killed four American Marines, wounded three more of them and also killed an Iraqi civilian who happened to be nearby. At the time of reporting, American occupation troops were still encircling the area where the blast took place.

Al-Fallujah.

At least one American soldier reported dead as Resistance mounts three attacks in al-Fallujah Monday.

In a dispatch posted at 3pm Mecca time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had mounted three attacks on US and Iraqi puppet forces in the city of al-Fallujah since Monday morning.

The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a short while earlier an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a patrol of several US Humvees on the new main road near the old Immigration building. The blast disabled one of the Humvees, killing an American soldier and seriously wounding two more.

In a separate attack, Resistance forces fired two 82mm mortar rounds directly into the joint US-Iraqi puppet military camp in the al-Jaghifi neighborhood in the northeast of the city, sending plumes of smoke rising over the facility.

In a third assault, Iraqi Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons attacked a joint US-Iraqi camp in the north of the city. Witnesses told Mafkarat al-Islam that after the 15 minute-long attack, American and Iraqi puppet army troops surrounded the area and prevented anyone approaching.

Resistance bomb in ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah wounds US troops.

In a dispatch posted at 12:15pm Mecca time Monday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US patrol on the road to the touristic area in ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah, southwest of the city of al-Fallujah, located some 60km west of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah as saying that the bomb went off next to a passing column of four American Humvees, disabling one of the vehicles and wounding three US soldiers wh had been aboard it, one of them seriously.

Baghdad.

Resistance seizes temporary control of three Baghdad neighborhoods Monday, mounts attacks on joint US-Iraqi puppet forces.

In a dispatch posted at 5:40pm Mecca time Monday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had attacked joint US-Iraqi puppet troops in several places in western Baghdad on Monday.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that Resistance fighters seized control over the neighborhoods of al-Khadra’, al-‘Adl, and al-Ghazaliyah in wesetern Baghdad on Monday and attacked joint US-Iraqi puppet patrols there. The Resistance fighters disabled two Iraqi puppet army vehicles and one American Humvee, killing six Iraqi puppet police and wounding three more. Three US troops were also wounded in the attacks.

Quds Press reported that violent fighting broke out between Iraqi Resistance fighters and Iraqi puppet troops in western Baghdad at 9am Monday morning. Witnesses told Quds Press that the Resistance attacked puppet “Interior Ministry” troops in the area of al-Liqa’ Square and up to the al-Ghazaliyah Bridge, sparking battles so violent that the Iraqi puppet troops were compelled to call for help from the US occupation troops and Iraqi puppet army units.

Quds Press reported witnesses as saying that the fighting lasted about half an hour, after which the Resistance fighters withdrew. The Iraqi puppet police told Quds Press that four puppet policemen had been killed and eight others wounded in the combat.

Witnesses told Mafkarat al-Islam that the Resistance fighters were able to withdraw from the scenes of the attacks without suffering any losses in their ranks.

Quds Press reported that similar battles had raged in Baghdad, particularly the western parts of the city in recent days, demonstrating that the regime and occupation forces were less and less unable to provide for their own security in the area and in the country as a whole.

Resistance bomb blasts Iraqi puppet “National Guards” in Baghdad’s al-Jami‘ah neighborhood.

In a dispatch posted at 12:20pm Mecca time Monday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by an Iraqi puppet army patrol on the highway in the al-Jami‘ah (University) neighborhood of western Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-Jami‘ah who witnessed the bombing as saying that an explosive device that had been planted on the highway blew up by a patrol of puppet “Iraqi National Guards,” disabling one of their pickups and killing two puppet guards and wounding three more of them.

Puppet “Interior Ministry Shock Troops” abduct, torture, murder Sunnis in ad-Durah.

In a dispatch posted at 6pm Mecca time Monday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops,” known for being run by Shi‘i sectarian militias loyal to America’s allies in Iran, launched a wave of arrests of Sunnis in the Abu Dushayr area in the south of the southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah late on Sunday night.

The ad-Durah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the “Shock Troops” had arrested 11 local Sunnis in the course of their raids. Four of those arrested were later found murdered in ad-Durah. Their bodies exhibited signs of violent physical torture. The fate of the other seven remained unknown at the time of reporting.

Resistance attacks joint US-Iraqi patrol in Baghdad late Sunday night, leaving American soldier reported dead.

Iraqi Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons and pipe rockets attacked a joint US-Iraqi puppet army patrol in the ash-Shurtah al-Khamisah area of western Baghdad late on Sunday night.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the attack, destroyed one Humvee and killed one American and two Iraqi puppet troops in addition to wounding one Iraqi two American occupation soldiers.

Iranian religious agents abducted.

The satellite TV network al-‘Arabiyah broadcast a videotape on Sunday indicating that an Iraqi group had abducted four Iranians north of Baghdad who were in the American occupied country on a mission for a prominent Shi‘i religious body in Iran.

Al-‘Arabiyah broadcast a tape distributed by the Resistance organization the Sa‘d ibn Abi Waqqas Brigades in which four men carrying their identity papers in front of them. They were shown in front of the black banner of the Sa‘d ibn Abi Waqqas Brigades.

Al-‘Arabiyah reported the Brigades as saying that the four Iranians said that they were on a mission entrusted to them by the Religious Institute in the Iranian holy city of Qom.

Al-Yusufiyah.

Resistance bomb targets convoy hauling fuel to US bases south of Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 5:20pm Mecca time Monday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a convoy of tankers loaded with fuel for US bases in the ‘Uwayrij area near al-Yusufiyah, on the highway leading to al-Mahmudiyah

The al-Yusufiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of ‘Uwayrij as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the highway blew up as a convoy of American tank trucks and several puppet police vehicles went past. The explosion destroyed one of the tank trucks, killing an Iraqi puppet policeman and wounding five more of them.

Al-Musayyib.

US soldier reported killed in bombing on highway north of al-Musayyib.

In a dispatch posted at 12:55pm Mecca time Monday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US patrol on the highway north of al-Musayyib, which is located south of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-Musayyib who witnessed the attack as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the highway blew up by a patrol of four US Humvees and two American armored vehicles. The explosion disabled one of the US armored vehicles, killing one American soldier and wounding two more of them. After the bombing, American troops closed the highway and prevented anyone approaching the area.

Al-Latifiyah.

Resistance bomb rips through puppet army patrol in al-Latifiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 3:50pm Mecca time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a column of Iraqi puppet army soldiers on the highway in al-Latifiyah, some 25km south of Baghdad.

The al-Latifiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the bomb destroyed one Iraqi puppet army pickup, killing three of the puppet regime troops and wounding two more of them.

Resistance bomb blasts US convoy southwest of al-Latifiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 11:40am Mecca time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US column on the highway southwest of al-Latifiyah (which is south of Baghdad).

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-Latifiyah who witnessed the attack as saying that a bomb planted by the side of the highway between the fifth and fourth bridges blew up as a convoy of several American trucks and Humvees was driving past. The explosion destroyed one American truck, killing its driver.

Resistance bombards puppet “National Guard” facility in Shahraban area.

In a dispatch posted at 11:45am Mecca time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had fired three mortar rounds into the headquarters of the puppet “Iraqi National Guard” in the Shahraban area north of Ba‘qubah, which is northeast of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of Shahraban as saying that the puppet “National Guard” headquarters took direct hits from three mortar rounds, sending plumes of smoke rising from the facility.

At-Tarimiyah.

Resistance bomb blasts puppet army patrol in at-Tarimiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 3:40pm Mecca time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by an Iraqi puppet army patrol on the main road in at-Tarimiyah, north of Baghdad.

The at-Tarimiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the blast destroyed one of the Iraqi regime vehicles, killing two Iraqi puppet troops and wounding two more of them.

Iraqi puppet general who took part in Second Battle of al-Fallujah assassinated.

In a dispatch posted at 12:10pm Mecca time Monday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier Iraqi Resistance fighters had assassinated Brigadier General Husayn ar-Rabi‘i , of the Iraqi puppet army, one of the officers who took part in the Second Battle of al-Fallujah that raged from November 2004 to January 2005. General ar-Rabi‘i played a major role in driving families out of al-Fallujah and into the open desert in the middle of winter during that battle.

The at-Tarimiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported First Lieutenant ‘Ali Ahmad of the city puppet police as saying that masked Resistance fighters attacked the motorcade of General ar-Rabi‘i, blasting his car with an RPG7 rocket-propelled grenade, completely destroying the vehicle and killing him, his driver and two companions instantly.

Body parts of the general and his companions were hurled several meters by the force of the grenade blast. US and Iraqi puppet forces quickly surrounded the whole area and began collecting the remains.

The correspondent noted that most of the Iraqi puppet officers who had taken part on the American side in the battle against al-Fallujah have been assassinated. Another noteworthy death was that of Major General Kamal al-Khuza‘i, who was killed by a Resistance bomb in November.

Balad.

Resistance bombards US-occupied al-Bakr base.

In a dispatch posted at 12:50pm Mecca time Monday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had bombarded the US-occupied al-Bakr military camp in the Yathrib area, some 100km north of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of Yathrib who witnessed the barrage as saying that two powerful Grad rockets blasted directly into the American-occupied base sending plumes of smoke rising over the facility.

Ad-Dujayl.

Resistance bomb blasts puppet troops on patrol in ad-Dujayl.

In a dispatch posted at 12:35pm Mecca time Monday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a joint US-Iraqi puppet army patrol on the main road to ad-Dujayl, north of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of ad-Dujayl who witnessed the attack as saying that the bomb disabled one Zeal troop transport belonging to the Iraqi puppet troops, killing one Iraqi puppet soldier and wounding two more of them.

Ad-Dulu‘iyah.

Roadside bomb north of ad-Dulu‘iyah leaves two US troops reported dead.

In a dispatch posted at 11:50am Mecca time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US column on the main road to Samarra’ north of ad-Dulu‘iyah.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of ad-Dulu‘iyah who witnessed the attack as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road blew up by a passing column of US Humvees. The witnesses said that the blast completely destroyed one of the vehicles, killing two US soldiers and wounding two more American troops.

Resistance bombards joint US-Iraqi puppet army camp in eastern Mosul.

In a dispatch posted at 4:30pm Mecca time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had fired a barrage of 60mm mortar rounds into the joint US-Iraqi puppet army camp in the al-Yarmuk district in the eastern part of the northern Iraqi city of Mosul.

The Mosul correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-Yarmuk as saying that the joint camp took direct hits in the mortar bombardment, sending plumes of smoke rising over the facility.

Three US troops reported killed in car bomb attack in Mosul.

In a dispatch posted at 11:35am Mecca time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter had driven an explosives-laden vehicle into a US military column on the main road in the al-Ghabat area north of Mosul in northern Iraq.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that the car bomber blasted into a column of several American Humvees on the main road in al-Ghabat, destroying one Humvee and disabling a second. Three US troops were killed and four more of them wounded in the attack, the correspondent reported.
