Resistance shoots down unmanned US spy plane.
In a dispatch posted at 6pm Mecca time Saturday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resitance fighters had shot down an unmanned American reconnaissance plane that had been prowling the skies over northern parts of ar-Ramadi, some 110km west of Baghdad.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported eyewitnesses as saying that the US plane crashed in the al-Bu Fahd garden but caused no fire. The correspondent tried to reach the crash scene but a group of US soldiers had already surrounded the whole area and closed the road and the old bridge nearby by the time he arrived.
Al-Fallujah.
Resistance bombards US base east of al-Fallujah.
In a dispatch posted at 1:05pm Mecca time Saturday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Iraqi Resistance had fired three 82mm mortar rounds into th US military headquarters east of al-Fallujah, some 60km west of Baghdad.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported eyewitnesses who live in the city as saying that the barrage set off explosions and sent plumes of smoke rising into the sky.
Al-Hadithah.
Resistance bombards joint US-Iraqi puppet army camp east of al-Hadithah.
In a dispatch posted at 11:40am Mecca time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had shelled a joint US-Iraqi puppet army camp near the al-Haqlaniyah Bridge east of al-Hadithah in western Iraq.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of al-Hadithah as saying that the Resistance fired two 82mm mortar rounds directly into the camp, sending plumes of smoke rising into the sky.
Resistance car bomber blasts US checkpoint in Barwanah, east of al-Hadithah.
In a dispatch posted at 11:25am Mecca time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while before an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter drove an explosives-laden car into a US checkpoint east of al-Hadithah.
The al-Hadhithah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the attack took place in the Barwanah area, east of the city, an destroyed the checkpoint. There were casualties among the American troops but the exact nature and extent of them was not known. A source in the Iraqi puppet army acknowledged to the reporter, however, that the checkpoint was totally demolished as a result of the bomb explosion.
Abu Ghurayb.
Three US troops reported killed in car bombing in al-Bu Munaysir village near Abu Ghurayb.
In a dispatch posted at 4pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance car bomb had exploded by a US military column on the highway near the al-Bu Munaysir area to the south of Abu Ghurayb.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in Abu Ghurayb reported residents of al-Bu Munaysir Village who saw the attack as saying that an explosives-packed car that had been parked by the side of the main road in the south of the village blew up by a passing column of several American armored vehicles and armor-plated Humvees. The explosion destroyed one armored vehicle, killing three American soldiers and wounding two more.
Resistance sharpshooter kills Iraqi puppet soldier in Abu Ghurayb.
In a dispatch posted at 11:20am Mecca time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman had shot and killed an Iraqi puppet army soldier in Abu Ghurayb, some 30km west of Baghdad.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of Abu Ghurayb who witnessed the attack as saying that an Iraqi Resistance sharpshooter has killed an Iraqi puppet soldier who was taking part in a foot patrol on a major street in the town. Afterwards, US and Iraqi puppet troops, as usual, searched nearby houses but found no sign of the marksman.

US military admits four American troops killed in Resistance attacks in Baghdad and al-Yusufiyah.
The US military announced Saturday that four of its soldiers had been killed in three separate attacks around the Baghdad area.
Al-Jazeera satellite TV reported a US military spokesman as saying that one American soldier was killed when an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by his patrol in the al-A‘zamiyah area of northern Baghdad.
The American spokesman said that the second American soldier had died of Iraqi Resistance gunshot wounds at a checkpoint to the northwest of Baghdad.
The spokesman said that two other US soldiers had died of gunshot wounds received when Resistance fighters attacked an American checkpoint in al-Yusufiyah in Babil Province, south of Baghdad.
The US military also said on Saturday that one American soldier had died and 11 more of them were wounded when an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter blew himself up in a bombing attack on a patrol in Abu Ghurayb on Friday. The American statement claimed that one Iraqi civilian had also been killed in that attack.
In a separate report, also monitored by al-Jazeera, the US military announced that an American soldier had died of a heart attack he suffered while on guard duty near al-Fallujah on Thursday.
Resistance fighters ambush puppet police patrol.
In a dispatch posted at 12:01pm Mecca time Saturday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters armed with light weapons attacked an Iraqi puppet police patrol in the al-Jihad neighborhood of western Baghdad.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of al-Jihad who witnessed the attack as saying that the Resistance attackers ambushed a patrol of three vehicles on the road to al-Bayya‘ east of al-Jihad, killing one puppet policeman and wounding two more, one of them a lieutenant.

Resistance bomb targets Iraqi puppet army column in al-Hillah.
In a dispatch posted at 3:15pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by an Iraqi puppet army patrol in the city of al-Hillah, capital of Babil Province, south of Baghdad.
The al-Hillah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet “Rapid Deployment Force” as saying that a bomb had exploded by an Iraqi puppet army column on the main road from al-Hillah to Baghdad, destroying one vehicle in the column and killing three puppet army troops and wounding a fourth.
Al-Latifiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 2:50pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US military column on the main road south of al-Latifiyah.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of al-Latifiyah who witnessed the attack as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road blew up as a column of several American Humvees and armored vehicles drove past. The explosion destroyed one Humvee, killing two US troops and wounding two other American soldiers, the residents said.
Al-Yusufiyah.
Resistance bomb blasts US column near al-Yusufiyah.
In a dispatch posted at 2:55pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported tat an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US military column on the highway that runs south from Baghdad.
The al-Yusufiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the highway exploded by a US column, destroying an armored vehicle and killing or wounding the members of the five-man crew of American soldiers who were aboard it.
Resistance ambushes puppet army patrol.
In a dispatch posted at 11:50am Mecca time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces armed with light and medium weapons had attacked an Iraqi puppet army patrol on a farm road near al-Yusufiyah leading to ar-Ridwaniyah in southern Baghdad.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of al-Yusufiyah as saying that Resistance fighters set fire to one patrol vehicle and damaged a second. Three Iraqi puppet soldiers were killed and four more of them wounded.

Resistance fighters ambush puppet police patrol east of Tikrit.
In a dispatch posted at 4:50pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters armed with light weapons had ambushed an Iraqi puppet police patrol east of Tikrit.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in Tikrit reported residents of the al-Bu ‘Ujayl area who witnessed the attack as saying that the Resistance fighters, who were equipped with machine guns, ambushed the puppet police patrol, killing three of the policemen and wounding two more. The Resistance fighters then withdrew from the area.
Egyptian translator working for US troops abducted.
Iraqi Resistance fighters abducted an Egyptian on Friday who was serving the US occupation troops as a translator in Tikrit, according to an announcement by the Iraqi puppet police on Saturday.
Hours later, the Iraqi puppet police reported finding the Egyptian’s body. He had been shot to death.
Reuters, as monitored by Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Ibrahim as-Sayyid al-Hilali, 46, had been captured by the Resistance in another instance of the capture of non-Iraqis in recent days. A German and her driver were abducted on 25 November, and a group of four westerners from Canada, the United States and Britain, were captured the next day. The Iraqi Resistance has repeatedly warned that those who work for the occupation or for “aid agencies” engaged in serving the American occupation’s plans to “rebuild Iraq” along US lines would be regarded as targets for attack.

Resistance bomb blasts Iraqi puppet army troops in joint column in ar-Riyad.
In a dispatch posted at 3:35pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a joint US-Iraqi puppet army column, in the ar-Riyad area, northeast of Bayji on the road to Kirkuk.
The Bayji correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of ar-Riyad who witnessed the bombing as saying that an explosive device that had been planted on the main road west of their town had exploded when a joint American-Iraqi puppet army column was driving past. The blast disabled one Iraqi puppet regime Zeal troop transport vehicle, killing two Iraqi puppet army troops and wounding three more of them.
Ath-Tharthar.
US soldier reported killed in ath-Tharthar.
In a dispatch posted at 12:25pm Mecca time Saturday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US military column on the road to ath-Tharthar, west of Samarra’ and north of Baghdad.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of ath-Tharthar as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road from Samarra’ to their area blew up by a convoy of American trucks loaded with equipment. The blast destroyed one of the trucks, killing one US soldier and wounding a second.

Battle erupts near Iranian border as Resitance, local residents clash with US troops as night falls Saturday.
In a bulletin posted at 6:30pm Mecca time Saturday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier fierce fighting had erupted in al-Mundhiriyah on the border with Iran between Iraqi Resistance fighters and US occupation troops. The combat was still under way at the time the correspondent filed his report.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported that more than 30 Resistance fighters were battling with US troops in the al-Qaws area and around the market. The correspondent at that moment could see two US military vehicles that had been completely destroyed by the Resistance attackers.
The fighting, which had begun over an hour earlier, had expanded to involve local residents as well. Men in long “dishdashahs” and wearing headscarves could be seen coming out of their houses with their weapons to join the battle against the Americans.
In a dispatch posted at 7:35pm Mecca time Saturday night, the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported that US warplanes had attacked two positions west of al-Mundhiriyah a short while earlier.
There was no immediate word on the nature or extent of casualties from the American air raids. Fighting between the Resistance and the US troops was still continuing at that time but intermittently.
Khan Bani Sa‘d.
Resistance bombards Iraqi puppet army checkpoint.
In a dispatch posted at 4:25pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had fired four heavy 120mm mortar rounds into an Iraqi puppet army checkpoint in the Khan Bani Sa‘d area northeast of Baghdad.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of Khan Bani Sa‘d as saying that the checkpoint was blasted by four heavy mortar shells that scored direct hits on the outpost. No information on the nature or extent of casualties was available.

Tall ‘Afar.
Roadside bomb leaves US soldier reported dead in Tall ‘Afar.
In a dispatch posted at 2:45pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US patrol in Tall ‘Afar, west of Mosul in northern Iraq.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of Tall ‘Afar who witnessed the bombing as saying that an explosive device that had been planted by the side of the main road in the Hasan Koy area in the middle of the city blew up as the patrol of four American Humvees was driving past. The blast disabled a Humvee and killing one US soldier and wounding three more of them, one of them seriously, the witnesses said.
