Al-Anbar Province.

Ar-Ramadi.

Resistance bombards US al-Warrar base Tuesday night.

In a dispatch posted at 10:10pm Mecca time Tuesday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short time earlier Iraqi Resistance forces had unleashed a violent rocket attack on the US al-Warrar base west of ar-Ramadi.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in ar-Ramadi reported that the Resistance fired more than nine Grad and Katyusha rockets into the base, the largest US base in al-Anbar Province.

The correspondent noted that as of the time of reporting, rockets were still blasting the American base intermittently in a response to the incident in which American Marines ripped the clothing off an Iraqi woman during a house search earlier Tuesday evening. (See story below.). The correspondent, located in the middle of ar-Ramadi said that the glow of fires inside the American base could be seen in the distance as sirens wailed inside the camp.

In a dispatch posted at 9:30pm Mecca time Tuesday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation Marine forces on Tuesday night stormed into a house in the at-Ta’mim neighborhood of western ar-Ramadi in the course of their “Rams” offensive (see story below).

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported that the US Marnies asked the house holder about the “gunmen” in the house and where the residents were and what their names were, but the man refused to answer, saying he did not know. The Marines threatened to tear off all the clothing of his wife in front of him if he did not tell them what they wanted to know, but the man still refused to talk, saying he had no information about those subjects. The Marines then ripped off his wife’s clothing and gazed at her naked body in front of the husband, who was bound at the time.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported the brother of the householder as saying that the Marines left the house after his brother had collapsed unconscious to the ground. At ar-Ramadi General Hospital it was learned that the man was named al-Hajj Abu Ahmad and that he had suffered a stroke and was incoherent and under treatment in the hospital.

The correspondent, who went to the home reported that the US troops had left in a hurry from the area after their action. The correspondent compared the mood in the city to a boiling cauldron following the incident as Resistance fighters deployed “unbelievably” in the city, indicating that Tuesday night would likely be very stormy.

US warplanes bomb sections of ar-Ramadi Tuesday night.

In a bulletin posted at 5:45pm Mecca time Tuesday night, the ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US warplanes had bombed several positions in the central and northern parts of the city.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent said that clouds of smoke were billowing from several buildings but no information on the nature or extent of casualties was available due to the curfew that US forces had imposed on the city.

Resistance bomb blasts US Humvee in downtown ar-Ramadi.

In a dispatch posted at 3:30pm Mecca time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded opposite the Residence Department in ar-Ramadi, a facility the US forces have turned into one of their headquarters, destroying a Humvee.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in ar-Ramadi reported major Husayn Hudhud of the Iraqi puppet army as saying that a bomb had been planted by the side of the road opposite the building. He said that the explosion destroyed a US armored Humvee, killing or wounding the US soldiers aboard.

Afterward, American troops surrounded the area and sealed off the streets.

Two US troops reported killed in bomb blast in ar-Ramadi.

In a dispatch posted at 2:55pm Mecca time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US column on the main road to the puppet government office building in downtown ar-Ramadi.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in ar-Ramadi reported that the bomb went off next to a column of four US armored vehicles and two Humvees, destroying one armored vehicle and killing two American troops. Three other US troops were wounded in the blast.

US launches new offensive in ar-Ramadi.

In a diispatch posted at 9:35am Mecca time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation forces launched a new offensive against the city of ar-Ramadi, 110km west of Baghdad, the sixth such assault of its type in one month.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in ar-Ramadi reported that more than 150 U armored vehicles, hundreds of American Marines, and dozens of Iraqi puppet troops were taking part in the new military sweep that the Americans have dubbed “Rams,” and which follows earlier assaults named “bears,” “tigers,” ‘lions,” and “panthers” ﾐ names that Iraqis have now become accustomed to.

The correspondent said that the US forces were advancing into western ar-Ramadi with great caution carrying out raids very slowly for fear of Resistance attacks on them. As of the time of reporting, however, the Americans had encountered no resistance though they had launched their operation several hours before.

US forces find 20 bodies believed to be those of Iraqi puppet army soldiers.

In a dispatch posted at 10:40am Tuesday morning Mecca time Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US forces had found 20 bodies believed to be those of Iraqi puppet army troops on the International Highway in ar-Ramadi.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported a hospital source as saying that the 20 corpses had been blindfolded and bound and shot to death. The source said that it was believed that they 20 were Iraqi puppet troops but that they were found with no identity papers, making it impossible to confirm that belief.

Al-Fallujah.

Resistance fighter sprays US troops with machinegunfire, reportedly killing three.
In a dispatch posted at 5:40pm Mecca time Tuesday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short time earlier an Iraqi Resistance fighter had attacked a column of US soldiers on foot in al-Fallujah.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported eyewitnesses as saying that the fighter, armed with a machine gun, had sprayed the Americans with bullets, killing three US troops, and then slipped away. Afterwards, US forces surrounded the area where they still were at the time of reporting.

Resistance fighters ambush Iraqi puppet army column.

In a dispatch posted at 4:24pm Mecca time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had attacked an Iraqi puppet army column on the main road in the area of al-Karmah, east of al-Fallujah.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in al-Fallujah reported residents of al-Karmah who witnessed the attack as saying that Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons ambushed the Iraqi regime troops, destroying one vehicle and killing two Iraqi puppet army troops and wounding four more of them.

Bomb blasts US column in al-Fallujah.

In a dispatch posted at 2:45pm Mecca time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US patrol on the new road east of al-Fallujah.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported eyewitnesses as saying that the bomb damaged a Humvee, wounding two US troops.

Two mercenary “security contractors” reported killed in al-Fallujah.

In a dispatch posted at 10:35am Mecca time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistnce fighters had attacked a armor-plated vehicles of the type used by mercenary “security contractors” working for the US occupation forces in the al-Jawlan neighborhood of al-Fallujah, some 60km west of Baghdad.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons attacked the column and destroyed one of the armor-plated vehicles. Two mercenaries were killed and two others wounded.

Ar-Rutbah.

Resistance car bomber blasts US checkpoint in ar-Rutbah late in the day on Tuesday.

In a dispatch posted at 5:20pm Mecca time Tuesday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter had driven an explosives-laden car into a US military checkpoint in the city of ar-Rutbah in western Iraq near the Jordanian border.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in ar-Rutbah reported that the Resistance fighter blew up his car as he drove into the checkpoint where at least 10 Marines were posted.

After the attack, US forces prevented anyone approaching the area, but the correspondent could see vehicles including fire trucks gathered around the scene where a helicopter landed apparently to evacuate casualties.

Al-Hadithah.

Resistance bomb blasts joint US-Iraqi puppet army foot patrol.

In a dispatch posted at 11am Mecca time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a joint US-Iraqi puppet army foot patrol in the middle of the western Iraqi city of al-Hadithah.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in al-Hadithah reported local eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the main road in the middle of the city blew up by the foot patrol, killing one Iraqi puppet army soldier and wounding four others, two of them Americans.

Abu Ghurayb.

Resistance bombards US military headquarters.

In a dispatch posted at 11:55am Mecca time Tuesday morning Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had fired two 82mm mortar rounds into the US military headquarters in Abu Ghurayb some 30km west of Baghdad.

The Abu Ghurayb correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the shells scored direct hits on their targets, sending plumes of smoke rising into the sky from inside the US-occupied compound.

Resistance bombers blast puppet police academy in Baghdad, killing 37. Women bombers said responsible. US and other foreign instructors reported among the casualties.

In a dispatch posted at 3:05pm Mecca time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported from Baghdad that two Resistance fida’i fighters had attacked the Iraqi puppet police academy and blown themselves up in the middle of Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 4:20pm Mecca time, the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the US occupation headquarters in the so-called “Green Zone” reported that an official announcement by the US-installed “Ministry of the Interior” confirmed that 113 persons had been killed or wounded in the Resistance attack, 37 dead and 76 wounded, most of them seriously.

The correspondent reported that US and other foreign instructors were among those killed in the attack.

It was reported that the explosions took place when two Resistance women fighters wearing explosive belts blew themselves up near gatherings of puppet police officers and recruits.

Baghdad hospitals get new morgue freezers as current number of bodies greatly exceeds capacities.

In a dispatch posted at 4:37pm Mecca time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that with the rising casualty toll from the Iraqi Resistance Iraqi puppet regime officials have recently imported three morgue freezers for holding corpses, according to a source in the Directorate of al-Yarmuk Hospital in the al-Karakh Health Department in Baghdad.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported the source as saying that the first of the freezers arrived in al-Yarmuk Hospital Monday. It has a capacity for 50 bodies.

The source said that because the morgue freezers that they already had had filled up, the medical authorities had been compelled to leave bodies in hallways and wards, creating a “difficult psychological situation” for hospital patients ﾐ “particularly since some of the corpses have begun to decompose an smell,” the source explained.

Dr. ‘Imad ‘Uwayd al- ‘Ani told Mafkarat al-Islam that Baghdad hospitals receive at least 50 corprses every day, and the number sometimes rises as high as 150. All of those are individuals killed by occupation troops or during combat between the Resistance and the US occupation soldiers, he said.

Resistance bombards Iraqi puppet “Ministry of Interior” building in Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 4:40pm Mecca time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had fired five heavy 120mm mortar rounds and 82mm mortar rounds into the puppet “Iraqi Ministry of the Interior” building in downtown Baghdad

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that the shells blasted into the building and into its back yard, killing three puppet policemen, one of them a captain, and wounding five more.

US aircraft bombard at-Taji. Civilian casualties confirmed.

In a dispatch posted at 12 noon Mecca time Tuesday Mafkarat al-Islam reported that UW warplanes were at the time of reporting bombing several positions around at-Taji, just north of Baghdad.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported that US F-16s and F-18s were targeting houses along the river and in the village of al-Fallahat, there were confirmed reports of civilian casualties, but US Marines had sealed off the area from journalists and Iraqis trying to get into the town.

Body of Iraqi translator working for US troops found in Baghdad.

The body of an Iraqi woman who worked for US troops as a translator was found on Tuesday in Baghdad. The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported that local residents found the body in a public park. She had been shot seven times in the head, chest, and abdomen.

The correspondent in western Baghdad’s al-‘Amiriyah district reported the woman’s neighbors as saying that she had received many threats in recent days demanding that she quit her job with the Americans, but she never did.

The Iraqi Resistance targets Iraqis working as translators not only because they are serving the occupation in that capacity, but also because they act as spies for the occupation in Iraqi cities and neighborhoods. Many such translators have quit, however, for fear of Resistance attacks on them. The Americans have, therefore, been increasing the salaries paid to translators to the current rate of US$5,000 per month, still many quit knowing the risk they face.

Resistance bomb blasts US convoy.

In a dispatch posted at 11:50am Mecca time Tuesday morning Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US military column on the main road to Tikrit in northern Iraq.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in Bayji reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the main road to Tikrit blew up by a passing US column of trucks and Humvees, disabling one truck and wounding its driver.

At-Tarimiyah.

Resistance battles puppet troops carrying out raids and arrests just north of Baghdad.

Puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops” carried out mass raids and arrests in the areas of at-Tarimiyah, al-Mushahada and 14 Ramadan, some 30km north of Baghdad on Tuesday morning, arresting dozens of men over 18 years of age.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the area reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying the puppet forces belonging to brigades known as “thunder,” “falcon” and “al-Karrar” had seized a large quantity of weapons in the possession of local people.

The correspondent reported that Resistance fighters took to the streets to clash with the puppet troops who called in US helicopters in support. The Resistance fighters were able to destroy four vehicles in the Tajiyat area east of at-Tarimiyah, killing a number of puppet troops and forcing them to retreat hastily from the area after having arrested as many local people as they could.

Local people said that they believed the number of men arrested to have been about 50.

Babil Province.

Al-Yusufiyah.

Resistance ambushes joint patrol in al-Yusufiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 12:20pm Mecca time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters had attacked a joint US-Iraqi puppet army column in al-Yusufiyah on the main road to ar-Ridwaniayh, which is in the south of Baghdad.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in al-Yusufiyah reported that Ressistance fighter armed with light and medium weapons attacked the column disabling one pickup belonging to the Iraqi puppet army and damaging one US Humvee. One Iraqi puppet soldier was killed and three more of them wounded. A US soldier was also injured in the attack.

Witnesses reported that two Resistance fighters were also wounded in the engagement but were able to withdraw from the scene afterwards.

Al-Hillah.

Bodies, believed to be those of Sunnis, found near al-Hillah.

The bodies of nine persons were discovered by the main road in the village of ‘Abd Ways northeast of Iraqi city of al-Hillah on Tuesday, the local puppet police announced. The bodies showed signs of torture and had been shot in the head.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent who went to the scene of the discovery, said that the puppet police had not been able to positively identify the bodies because they had no documents on them, but sources in the city believed them to be the bodies of Sunnis kidapped and killed by Shi‘i sectarian militias.

Resistance bomb rips through Iraqi puppet army column midday Tuesday.

In a dispatch posted at 12:05pm Mecca time Tuesday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by an Iraqi puppet army patrol in the Rabi‘ah area in northern Iraq, west of Mosul

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in Mosul reported eyewitnesses as saying that the bomb disabled one Zeal troop transport, killing three Iraqi puppet army troops and wounding three more of them.

Iraqi Resistance sharpshooter kills US soldier in Mosul.

In a dispatch posted at 10:45am Mecca time Tuesday morning Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman had shot and killed a US soldier in the al-Wahdah neighborhood of eastern Mosul in northern Iraq.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported eyewitnesses in the neighborhood as saying that a US soldier who was taking part in an American patrol in the southern part of al-Wahdah as killed when a Resistance sharpshooter’s bullet suddenly struck him. After the attack, US forces surrounded the area and searched nearby houses but found no trace of the Iraqi fighter.

Sulaymaniyah Province.

As-Sulaymaniyah.

In a dispatch posted at 4:30pm Mecca time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier Iraqi Resistance forces had bombarded a US prison in a mountainous area northwest of as-Sulaymaniyah the Kurdish area of northern Iraq with rockets.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in Irbil reported that a puppet regime source reported the attack over the telephone. Local officials denied the report despite the fact that flames and smoke could be seen rising from the prison.
