Iranian citizens with forged Iraqi IDs flood an-Najaf to vote for SCIRI in US-backed “elections.”

As the countdown to the US-sponsored “elections” to be held on 15 December gets under way hotels in an-Najaf have been filling up with dozens of Iranians. According to Mafkarat al-Islam, the Iranians are flocking into Iraq to take part fraudulently in the elections that the US military authorities are illegally imposing on a country under occupation.

The Iranians come equipped with false Iraqi identity documents and are ready to cast their “votes” for ‘Abd al-‘Aziz al-Hakim the chief of the pro-Ameican Shi‘i sectarian “Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq” (SCIRI) as instructed by their Shi‘i religious authority, ‘Ali as-Sistani, himself an Iranian citizen.

As‘ad Husayn al-Musa, owner of the well-known Ahbab al-Husayn Hotel in an-Najaf, told Mafkarat al-Islam that he presently had so far taken in 565 Iranians, all of them Arabic speakers all ready to take part in the Iraqi elections.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported that the Iraqi puppet police and security services were obviously cooperating in the massive voter fraud, something not surprising considering the fact that the vast majority of members of the puppet police and security services are also members of the Badr Brigades, the armed wing of SCIRI.

When the followers of Muqtada as-Sadr in an-Najaf complained on Saturday to the puppet Governor of an-Najaf about the influx of illegal Iranian “voters,” the puppet Governor responded by telling them that the Iranians were all just “pilgrims” to Shi‘i holy sites.
