Ar-Ramadi.
American sniper reported killed in Resistance attack on US camp in ar-Ramadi.
In a dispatch posted at 4:30pm Mecca time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Resistance fighters had attacked a US military camp in the middle of ar-Ramadi, some 110km west of Baghdad on Monday.
The ar-Ramadi correspondent reported that Resistance fighters armed with medium weapons and pipe rocket launchers attacked the American camp, inflicting considerable damage and killing one American sniper who had been perched atop the camp. The Resistance attackers wounded other US soldiers as well and then withdrew from the area.
Massive US military columns converge on ar-Ramadi for major American offensive.
In a dispatch posted at 12:30pm Mecca time Monday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that massive US military columns had been seen heading into al-Anbar Province in western Iraq since 11am local time Monday morning.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in Abu Ghurayb reported that more than 100 US armored vehicles, mine sweepers, and Marine troop transports, under a heavy escort of helicopter gun ships and F-16 warplanes flying at low altitudes was making its way west into al-Anbar.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in al-Karmah, east of al-Fallujah, reported that roads had been closed in that area and an order had been given over loudspeakers banning traffic on the highway.
Heightened security measures were in evidence in al-Fallujah and its environs.
The correspondent for Markarat al-Islam in ar-Ramadi, the capital of al-Anbar Province, received confirmation from official sources in the puppet administration in the provincial government building, saying that the US forces were preparing for a big military offensive against ar-Ramadi.
In a dispatch posted at 5:25pm Mecca time Monday evening, the ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the US military columns had driven to the city of al-Habbaniyah where a major US-occupied military air base is located, just to the east of ar-Ramadi.
The correspondent reported that the Americans had imposed tight security measures near the airbase and in its environs, preventing him from ascertaining further details regarding the purpose of the large new force in the province. The people of ar-Ramadi are saying, however, that a major American assault on their city is imminent.
Al-Fallujah.
Resistance ambushes US patrol in eastern al-Fallujah.
In a dispatch posted at 6:50pm Mecca time Monday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi resistance fighters had opened fire on a patrol of US troops on the main road near the ad-Dubbat neighborhood of al-Fallujah, some 60km west of Baghdad.
The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that Resistance fighters armed with machine guns opened fire on the US patrol on the main road, wounding two American soldiers, one of them seriously, and then withdrawing from the scene.
Resistance bombards US headquarters east of al-Fallujah early Monday morning.
Iraqi Resistance forces fired eight mortar rounds into the headquarters of US forces in al-Fallujah, some 60km west of Baghdad, at about 8am local time Monday morning.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of al-Fallujah as saying tat the US headquarters east of al-Fallujah was struck by eight mortar rounds that sent plumes of smoke billowing into the sky over the US-occupied facility.
Member of collaborationist Islamic Party assassinated in ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah.
In a bulletin posted at 5pm Mecca time Monday evening, the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah (which is south of al-Fallujah city) reported that a prominent leader in the Islamic Party, an offshoot of the Iraqi Muslim Brotherhood fundamentalist organization, had been killedin the nearby al-‘Anaz area.
The correspondent reported that Iyyad al-‘Izzi was killed after coming out of a meeting of members of his party held in ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah. The Islamic Party, which accepted a seat on the puppet “Governing Council” installed by US proconsul L. Paul Bremer after the American invasion of Iraq, has been known for its attempts to bring the Sunni community closer to the positions of the US occupation authorities.

Two US troops reported killed in Resistance ambush of US patrol.
In a dispatch posted at 6:10pm Mecca time Monday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a patrol of US military forces on the main Old Road in the middle of Abu Ghurayb, some 30km west of Baghdad.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in Abu Ghurayb reported local people who witnessed the attack as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the Old Road blew up as a column of several American Humvees was driving by.
The explosion disabled one of the US vehicles. Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons then attacked the column, killing two US troops and wounding two more. Four Iraqis were killed and five wounded by US gunfire after the attack the witnesses said.
Resistance bombards puppet “National Guard” headquarters in Abu Ghurayb.
In a dispatch posted at 10:30am Mecca time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had fired two medium-range Katyusha rockets into the headquarters of the puppet “Iraqi National Guard” in Abu Ghurayb.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of Abu Ghurayb as saying that the rocket attack send plumes of smoke rising over the facility.

Two US troops reported killed in bomb attack on armored column in Baghdad’s ar-Rustamiyah district.
In a dispatch posted at 5:55pm Mecca time Monday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US military column on the main road in northern Baghdad’s ar-Rustamiyah district on Monday.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in ar-Rustamiyah reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted on the main road there blew up as a column of four US tanks and two Humvees was driving past. The explosion destroyed one tank, killing two US troops and wounding two more, witnesses said.
British mercenary “security contractors” reported killed in ambush in southern Baghdad.
In a dispatch posted at 5:45pm Mecca time Monday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had attacked a column of armor plated vehicles being driven by foreign mercenary contractors working for the US occupation troops south of Baghdad.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in Baghdad reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that Resistance forces had attacked a car owned by a foreign mercenary “security contractor” company on the highway that leads from Baghdad to the southern provinces of the country. The Resistance attackers destroyed one of the armor plated cars and killed four of the mercenaries in the ambush. Another two mercenaries were wounded in the attack.
The puppet police source told Mafkarat al-Islam that British citizens were among those killed in the ambush.
Resistance spokesman rejects claims by US-Installed “Iraqi President” at-Talibani that there had been dialogue with the Resistance.
In an exclusive statement to Mafkarat al-Islam, a source in the Iraqi Resistance refuted claims made by US-installed puppet “President of Iraq” Kurdish separatist Jalal at-Talibani that he had been in contact with the Resistance and that the Resistance was ready to lay down its arms.
The source told Mafkarat al-Islam that the claims by at-Talibani and his “adviser, the liar,” that they had been in contact with Resistance groups and that the Resistance was ready to lay down arms, were “lies with no basis in fact and moreover they invite ridicule, because they reveal just how far they have been brought down under the painful blows inflicted by the detachments of the Iraqi Resistance, which have beaten them sensless.”
Shaykh Abu Khalid of the Islamic Army Resistance group told the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent that not one o the Iraqi Resistance groups has been negotiating and never would negotiate with the descendants of pigs and the government of stooges and Iranian agents. This in accordance with an agreement that the Resistance groups have made among themselves.”
“Between them the US-installed regime and us there can only be fighting and expulsion from the Land of the Two Rivers,” Shaykh Abu Khalid said. “If that is what they mean when they say they have been having a ‘dialogue’ with the Resistance then they are right, by God ﾐ we will fight them until God resolves the matter according to His wishes.”
Abu Khalid, who insisted that the city and time of their meeting not be mentioned, told the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent that the Iraqi Resistance challenges the apostate at-Talibani or the Zoroastrian Iraqi puppet “Prime Minister” Ibrahim al-Ja‘fari to come up with one man who claims to be from the Resistance with whom they can negotiate, for all those who bear arms against the occupation and its stooges have agreed on victory or martyrdom in the path of God, and that they would not sit down with those who are stained to their very core with the blood of Iraqi Sunnis.”
Resistance bombards US headquarters in ad-Durah.
In a dispatch posted at 4:20pm Mecca time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had fired six 82mm mortar rounds into the US military headquarters in the southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of ad-Durah as saying that the shells blasted directly into the US headquarters, sending pillars of smoke rising into the sky.
Resistance blasts “Green Zone” as “trial” of Iraqi President Saddam Hussein resumes Monday morning.
Iraqi Resistance forces fired four mortar rounds into the area around the Republican Palace in downtown Baghdad ﾐ the part of the city dubbed the “Green Zone” by US occupation forces ﾐ just as the show “trial” of Iraqi President Saddam Hussein got under way on Monday morning.
At about 9am local time as the “court proceedings” were beginning in what was the Military Industry Building before the American invasion, but now is included in the American so-called “Green Zone,” four mortar shells blasted into the area. A source in the Iraqi regime’s puppet security services told Mafkarat al-Islam that the barrage caused no casualties but did damage two buildings located only 300 meters from the US embassy, which is also located in the so-called “Green Zone.”
Following the attack, US forces imposed even more stringent security measures than usual in Baghdad in the vicinity of the “Green Zone.” Accordingly, the Americans closed seven major Baghdad streets that lead towards their “Green Zone.”
Resistance bomb blasts puppet “Wolf Brigade” patrol near Jurf as-Sakhr.
In a dispatch posted at 12:20pm Mecca time Monday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a patrol of puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Wolf Brigade troops” on the road between Jurf as-Sakhr, south of Baghdad, and al-Mahmudiyah.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported a source in the puppet “Rapid Deployment Forces” as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the road to al-Mahmudiyah blew up as a Wolf Brigade patrol was driving past. The explosion damaged on of the patrol vehicles, killing one Iraqi puppet soldier and wounding two more of them.
Resistance bomb blasts puppet police vehicle in Zayunah.
In a dispatch posted at 10:50am Mecca time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a patrol of the Iraqi puppet police in the Zayunah area of southeastern Baghdad.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of Zayunah as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the road leading to the al-Baladiyat neighborhood, where many Palestinians live, blew up as an Iraqi puppet police patrol was driving past.
The explosion set fire to one puppet police pick up, killing three puppet policemen and wounding two more of them.

Resistance bomb rips through US military fuel convoy in Balad.
In a dispatch posted at 11:10am Mecca time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US military convoy of several tankers carrying fuel in the city of Balad on the road to Baghdad.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported Balad residents as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road near the southern entrance to the city blew up by a convoy of eight fuel tankers and three Humvees.
The explosion completely burned up one of the tankers, killing the driver who was working for the US occupation forces.

Resistance bomb wounds commander of puppet “Shock Troops” in al-Mahawil.
In a dispatch posted at 5:45pm Mecca time Monday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a patrol of puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops” on the main road in al-Mahawil, south of Baghdad.
A source in the Iraqi puppet police told Mafkarat al-Islam that the bomb killed three members of the “Shock Troops” and wounded four more of them, including the commander of the “Shock Troops” for the al-Mahawil area.

Balad Ruz.
US launches raids and arrests in Balad Ruz area, east of Ba‘qubah Monday.
US occupation forces backed up by Iraqi puppet troops launched a campaign of raids and arrests in the Balad Ruz area, east of Ba‘qubah and northeast of Baghdad on Monday.
The Diyala Province correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of Balad Ruz as saying that US helicopters rocketed a number of houses in the area and then surrounded the vicinity and began raiding houses and arresting members of the ad-Dayiniyah Sunni tribe on charge that they oppose the occupation and have been carrying out attacks on US and Iraqi puppet army forces.

US soldier reported killed in roadside bombing in Mosul’s Tall ar-Rumman area.
In a dispatch posted at 4:35pm Mecca time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US tank column on the main road in the Tall ar-Rumman area south of Mosul.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in Mosul reported residents of Tall ar-Rumman as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the main road to Baghdad blew up as a column of five US tanks and two American Humvees was driving past. The explosion disabled one tank, killing one American soldier and wounding two more of the US troops, all of whom had been aboard the tank.
Resistance ambushes puppet police patrol in Mosul.
In a dispatch posted at 11:05am Mecca time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters had attacked an Iraqi puppet police patrol in the an-Nur neighborhood in the middle of Mosul.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of an-Nur as sayig that Resistance fighters armed with machineguns had ambushed the patrol, disabling one patrol vehicle and killing two puppet policemen. Three other puppet policemen were wounded in the attack.

In a dispatch posted at 10:10am Mecca time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US patrol in the al-Intisar neighborhood in the middle of the northern Iraqi city of Mosul.
The Mafakrat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of al-Intisar as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road leading to the center of the city blew up as a patrol of four US Humvees drove past.
The explosion completely destroyed one of the Humvees, killing two US troops and seriously wounding two more of them.
Tall ‘Afar.
US forces discover, close down two more secret torture prisons run by puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry” Shi‘i sectarians.
American occupation troops on Sunday discovered two secret prisons in Tall ‘Afar, similar to the one in al-Jadiriyah which was run by the Iraqi puppet “Interior Ministry” and where victims were tortured until it was closed down by an embarrassed US occupation administration.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported an Iraqi translator working for the Americans, who asked not to be identified, as saying that the first prison was an underground cellar near the puppet police station in Tall ‘Afar. The other secret prison had been set up in a former headquarters of the Iraqi Baath Party in the middle of town after the puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry” turned the building into a secret detention center for mainly Sunni victims.
The source said that about 119 Sunni prisoners were in the prisons when the Americans discovered them. Most of the prisoners were college students, religious scholars, and public school teachers. The US occupation forces transferred them to one of their bases northeast of Tall ‘Afar after releasing them from the torture cells. Some of those who had been in charge of the secret prisons were then arrested by the Americans. Most of the prison officials and jailers belonged to the pro-American Shi‘i sectarian Badr Brigades.
Using the district puppet government offices, the American forces called on relatives of prisoners to go to the American base so that they might identify bodies of their relatives killed under torture at the hands of the Americans’ Badr Brigade allies. Pending such identification, the US forces were keeping the bodies of the dead torture victims in the morgue on their base.
US troops arrest 71-year old Imam of mosque for praying that the Resistance be victorious.
US forces raided the Tall ‘Afar Mosque at dawn on Monday and arrested the Imam there along with 23 worshippers, after the Imam prayed for victory for the Iraqi Resistance.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the city reported that Shaykh Muhammad al-Mahmud was arrested immediately after the dawn prayer. No reason was officially given for his arrest. A man who attended the prayer service but eluded the grasp of the US troops told Mafkarat al-Islam that during the prayer service, the imam did a standing prayer for the mujahideen of the Resistance calling on God to grant them victory and asking God to allow him to live long enough to see the banner of the occupation smashed into the soil of Iraq and all the lands of the Muslims.
Captain Khaldun Husayn of the Iraqi puppet army told Mafkarat al-Islam that the reason for the arrest was the law enshrined in the US-imposed “Iraqi constitution” that bans “incitement to terrorism, and the material or moral support for terrorism.”
Shaykh Muhammad al-Mahmud, who is 71, lost his sight a long time ago, according to one of the shaykh’s relatives who spoke with Mafkarat al-Islam.

Resistance bomb blasts US column just east of al-Hawijah.
In a dispatch posted at 11:15am Mecca time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US column on the road to al-Hawijah, west of Kirkuk in northern Iraq.
The Mafakrat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of al-Hawijah as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road 6km from the eastern entrance to the city blew up as a patrol of three US armored vehicles and three American Humvees drove past.
The explosion disabled one of the armored vehicles, wounding four American soldiers who were aboard it, two of them severely.
