US warplanes blast family home in al-Qa’im, killing seven civilians.
In a bulletin posted at 2:55pm Mecca time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US fighter bombers had attacked a house east of al-Qa’im near the Syrian border in western Iraq.
The al-Qa’im correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Amercian warplanes had rocketed the house, which was home to an Iraqi family of seven. All members of the family were killed in the American assault, according to a physician at al-Qa’im Hospital who spoke to the correspondent. The doctor said that five bodies had so far been extracted from the rubble but that two more were still buried and work was underway to dig them out.
The doctor said that among the dead were an elderly man, a woman, and her one-and-a-half-year-old son. The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported that the US military had so far made no comment on the attack.
US masses troops, vehicles along Syrian border starting at dawn Thursday for reasons unknown.
In a dispatch posted at 11:20am Mecca time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a massive deployment of US military forces got underway along the Syrian border in the area of al-Qa’im in western Iraq at dawn on Thursday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported numerous travelers from the areas right along the border as saying that American military vehicles and troops were deploying in large numbers all along the strip of land along the border between the two Arab countries.
One witness said that the Americans had deployed in an area where they can see the Syrian troops on the other side of the border with the naked eye as they stand guard at the forward-most frontier post on Syrian soil.
The correspondent reported that he tried to obtain further details on the reason for the American deployment along the Syrian frontier. An officer in the Iraqi puppet army’s 1st Brigade responded to the correspondent’s question about the deployment by saying that he did not know the reason, nor did the commander of the Brigade who is charged with guarding the Iraqi border. The officer said that the Iraqi army puppet commander was himself surprised by the American move, but he expressed the hope that the reason would become clear in a few hours.
Al-Fallujah.
Director of al-Fallujah General Hospital: 63 cases of illness in last six months as a result of US use of chemical weapons in Second Battle of al-Fallujah.
As more and more reports surface in the international media regarding the American forces’ use of chemical weapons in the second Battle of al-Fallujah, from November 2004 through late January 2005, the Director of al-Fallujah General Hospital, Dr. Muhammad ‘Abdallah gave an exclusive interview to Mafkarat al-Islam. Dr. ‘Abdallah told Mafkarat al-Islam that during the last six months his hospital had registered 63 cases of illnesses among people who had been exposed to American chemical and germ weapons.
Dr. ‘Abdallah told the correspondent that the illnesses range from cancer to sudden nervous breakdowns to gradual loss of sight, to inflammation of internal organs in the afflicted persons. The doctor said that all the cases were of a nature that was the first of their type to be recorded in the world.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam noted that Mafkarat al-Islam had been among the first news agencies to report the American use of chemical weapons and phosphorous, now admitted to have been true, but that the US commander at the time had flatly denied all such reports.
Four bodies of Resistance fighters killed in Second Battle of al-Fallujah recovered.
In a dispatch posted at 9pm Mecca time Thursday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the bodies of four Iraqi Resistance fighters killed in the Second Battle of al-Fallujah (from November 2004 through late January 2005) had been found in the city late on Thursday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a medical source in al-Fallujah Hospital ミ who asked not to be identified ミ as saying that the four martyrs’ bodies had been found when rubble was being cleared away from a house that had been destroyed in the ash-Shuhada’ neighborhood of the city which had been subject to American aerial bombardment.
Along with the bodies were found personal effects, the source said, including a passport from another Arab country and a university identity card issued by an institution in the Arabian Gulf area, as well as copies of the Qur’an and what appears to be the will of one of the dead fighters. The source declined to provide the correspondent with any further details, saying that might “do more harm than good.”
All four of the bodies were laid to rest in the al-Fallujah Martyrs’ Cemetery.
Al-Khalidiyah.
Resistance car bomber blasts gate to US base in al-Khalidiyah, reportedly killing three American troops.
In a dispatch posted at 3:40pm Mecca time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter had driven an explosives-laden car into a group of US troops near the American base in al-Khalidiyah, west of Baghdad.
The al-Khalidiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the car bomber broke through the cement barricades erected near the gate to the US base and detonated his payload near a concentration of US troops nearby. Three American soldiers were killed in the attack and four more of them were wounded, the correspondent reported.
Al-Habbaniyah.
Resistance unleashes powerful bombardment on US al-Habbaniyah base midday Thursday.
In a dispatch posted at 1:55pm Mecca time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short time earlier, Iraqi Resistance forces had fired more than 25 mortar rounds into the US base in al-Habbaniyah, west of al-Fallujah, setting various fires that were still burning in the camp at the time of writing.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of the al-Bu Mar‘i area near the base as saying that the camp was hit by a heavy barrage of more than 25 mortar shells.

Resistance bomb explodes prematurely.
In a dispatch posted at 1:55pm Mecca time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had blasted an American Humvee on al-Mal‘ab Street in ar-Ramadi, some 110km west of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the blast caused no deaths or injuries among the Americans because the bomb detonated a few seconds prematurely, before the Humvee actually reached the site where the explosives had been planted.

Katyusha rocket blasts into “Green Zone.”
In a dispatch posted at 4:10pm Mecca time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had fired a medium-range rocket into the area around the Republican Palace in downtown Baghdad, the part of the city closed off and dubbed the “Green Zone” by US forces, where they have established the headquarters of their occupation regime.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that a Katyusha rocket had blasted into the “Green Zone,” exploding near a building used by the American-installed “Iraqi government.” No information on the nature or extent of casualties was available.
Resistance car bomber blasts puppet “National Guard” base in at-Taji.
In a dispatch posted at 3:45pm Mecca time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter had driven an explosives-packed car into an Iraqi puppet “National Guard” base in the northern Baghdad suburb of at-Taji and blown up.
The at-Taji correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the puppet “National Guards” opened fire as the car bomber raced towards their base, but were unable to stop the car before it broke through the gate and exploded near group of Iraqi puppet troops. The blast killed 12 of the Iraqi puppet “National Guards” and wounded another seven of them, the correspondent reported.
Resistance ambush in al-Karakh leaves three US troops reported killed.
In a dispatch posted at 2:35pm Mecca time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters armed with machine guns and pipe rockets had attacked a US military column on the highway in western Baghdad.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that Resistance fighters ambushed the column on the road to the Water Department in Baghdad’s al-Karakh district, destroying one US armored vehicle and damaging a Humvee. Three US soldiers were killed and three more American troops wounded in the attack the correspondent reported.
US soldier reported killed in Resistance bombing in al-Ghazaliyah.
In a dispatch posted at 2:30pm Mecca time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US military column in the al-Ghazaliyah area of western Baghdad.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-Ghazaliyah who witnessed the attack as saying that a Resistance bomb that had been planted by the side of the main road in the area blew up, setting fire to an American Humvee and killing one US soldier and wounding a second.
Resistance forces mount deadly ambush on Iraqi puppet police patrol in ad-Durah.
In a dispatch posted at 3:30pm Mecca time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters had mounted a two-pronged attack on a column of Iraqi puppet policemen in the southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of ad-Durah who witnessed the attack as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the main road in ad-Durah blew up as a puppet police patrol was driving past. The explosion destroyed one patrol vehicle. At that point Resistance fighters equipped with light arms an pipe rockets attacked the patrol, setting fire to a second patrol vehicle and killing four puppet policemen and wounding six more of them. The Resistance fighters then withdrew from the area having suffered no losses in their own ranks.
Resistance fighters assault puppet “Shock Troop” checkpoint in ad-Durah.
In a dispatch posted at 2:30pm Mecca time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had attacked a checkpoint manned by puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops” in the southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of the al-Mikanik neighborhood of ad-Durah as saying that Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons and pipe rockets attacked and totally destroyed the checkpoint. Five “Shock Troops” were killed in the assault and six more of them wounded. Two vehicles belonging to the puppet “Shock Troops” were also destroyed. After the attack, the Resistance fighters withdrew from the area without having suffered any losses.
Resistance fighters ambush US Marines in al-‘Amiriyah.
In a dispatch posted at 2pm Mecca time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters had ambushed a column of US marines in the southwestern Baghdad neighborhood of al-‘Amiriyah.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported Lieutenant Ahmad Sabah of the Iraqi puppet forces as saying that more than 13 US Marines were killed or injured when Resistance fighters ambushed them, destroying two American military vehicles in al-‘Amiriyah.
Lieutenant Sabah said that four Resistance fighters were also killed in the battle, in which, he said, explosives and anti-tank rocket-propelled grenades were used. After the battle, the correspondent noted, numerous US military vehicles poured into the area and were still there, surrounding the scene of the battle, at the time of reporting.
Resistance fighters assault Badr Brigade headquarters in as-Sayyidiyah, wounding local representative of pro-American cleric ‘Ali as-Sistani.
In a dispatch posted at 7:15pm Mecca time Thursday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters had attacked a Shi‘i place of worship, the al-Mahdi al-Muntazar Husayniyah in as-Sayyidiyah, south of Baghdad, a location used by the pro-American Shi‘i sectarian Badr Brigades as a local headquarters.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the Resistance assault left four Badr Brigade gunmen dead and the al-Karakh representative of pro-American Shi‘i religious leader ‘Ali as-Sistani with moderately severe wounds. A source in the as-Sayyidiyah puppet police force told Mafkarat al-Islam that the Resistance fighters were able to withdraw from the area before the arrival of the puppet police on the scene.
Three Iraqi women working in “Green Zone” for US occupation forces abducted.
Three Iraqi sisters who work inside the so-called “Green Zone” ミ the area around the Republican Palace where the American occupation forces have set up their headquarters under high security ミ were abducted on Thursday, a source in the Iraqi puppet police told Quds Press. The three women were taken prisoner in the middle of Baghdad as they headed to work inside the American compound.
The source said that three BMW cars loaded with Resistance fighters forced the black Daewoo Prince in which the women were riding to stop on the main street in the al-I‘lam neighborhood of as-Sayyidiyah in southwest Baghdad. The women and their driver were then taken away.
The source confirmed that the three women worked inside the “Green Zone” but did not say what the nature of their work was.
US arrests commander of Badr Brigades for Wasit Province in connection with massive election fraud.
In a dispatch posted at 2pm Mecca time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation forces had arrested Fadil Jasim, the commander of the pro-American Shi‘i sectarian Badr Brigades in Wasit Province, south of Baghdad at dawn on Thursday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the American troops arrested Jasim at his home. A source in the Iraqi puppet police said that 10 other members of the Badr Brigades were also arrested in morning raids following the arrest of their commander.
The source, a captain in the puppet police told Mafkarat al-Islam that the arrests were part of the American investigation into the smuggling of truckloads of forged ballots from Iran into Iraq for use during the US-backed “elections” held on 15 December. The source said that the Americans had found proof that Iran and the Badr Brigades under ‘Abd al-‘Aziz al-Hakim were involved in the massive vote fraud operation.
The Badr Brigades are the armed wing of the pro-American Shi‘i sectarian Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq (SCIRI) headed by ‘Abd al-‘Aziz al-Hakim. SCIRI’s Badr Brigades took part in the invasion of Iraq alongside US troops in the spring of 2003 and have since then formed the backbone of the puppet regime’s security forces serving the American occupation in the country.
Rumsfeld arrives in Iraq on surprise visit.
US Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld arrived in Iraq on a previously undisclosed visit on Thursday. According to the BBC as monitored by Mafkarat al-Islam, US General George Casey met Rumsfeld upon his arrival at Saddam International Airport ミ a facility that the US forces have turned into one of their biggest bases in the country. The BBC reported Rumsfeld as alluding to the possibility of American troop reductions in the future.

US helicopter shot down in ath-Tharthar area west of Samarra’.
In a dispatch posted at 7:35pm Mecca time Thursday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an American helicopter was seen crashing to earth after being hit by an Iraqi Resistance surface-to-air missile in the ath-Tharthar area near Samarra’, north of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the helicopter went down with flames coming from the front part of the aircraft. No information on the type of helicopter or on the fate of its crew was available.
The correspondent noted that the ath-Tahrthar area, located between Samarra’ and al-Fallujah, had been under Resistance control since the Second Battle of al-Fallujah early this year.
Resistance bomb blasts puppet “Shock Troops” in Samarra’.
In a dispatch posted at 4:25pm Mecca time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a patrol of puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops” on the main road to the pharmaceutical works in Samarra’, north of Baghdad.
The Samarra’ correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the main road to the pharmaceutical works in the northeast of the city blew up as a “Shock Troop” patrol drove past. The blast destroyed one patrol vehicle, killing four “Shock Troops” and wounding another three of them, the correspondent reported.

Two US troops reported killed in bombing in al-Miqdadiyah area.
In a dispatch posted at 2:50pm Mecca time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US military column in the city of Shahraban (al-Miqdadiyah) northeast of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of Shahraban who witnessed the attack as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the main road in the town had exploded as a US column was driving past. The blast set fire to one American personnel carrier, killing two US soldiers and wounding two more American troops.

Resistance ambushes two carloads of Shi‘i sectarian Badr Brigade gunmen Thursday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 8:30pm Mecca time Thursday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters had attacked two cars carrying Shi‘i sectarian Badr Brigade gunmen in the al-Mada’in area southeast of Baghdad at 10am local time Thursday morning. The gunmen were on their way to al-Hillah, south of Baghdad when the attack occurred.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Badr Brigade commander named ‘Abd al-A’immah Husayn said that “terrorist” ミ by which he meant Iraqi Resistance fighters ミ ambushed two cars carrying Badr Brigade members, killing all of them as they were on their way to al-Hillah to donate to the families of other Shi‘i sectarian gunmen killed in the service of the US occupation. Husayn added that the Resistance attackers took the money that had been in the possession of the Badr Brigade gunmen.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported eyewitnesses in the area where the attack occurred as saying that the Badr Brigade gunmen tried to flee as soon as they came under attack, despite the fact that they were carrying modern weapons. The witnesses said that the Shi‘i sectarian gunmen were killed while running away outside their vehicles.

Resistance forces attack contractors working for US occupation. American helicopters rocket homes in the area, killing four civilians.
In a dispatch posted at 5:10pm Mecca time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had mounted two attacks on contractors working with the US occupation forces in the ar-Rashad area to the west of Kirkuk in northern Iraq.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of ar-Rashad as saying that in the first attack Resistance fighters armed with machine guns had ambushed and killed an Iraqi working on contract with the US occupation forces.
In the second incident, an Iraqi Resistance bomb that had been planted in the ar-Rashad area by the side of the main road linking Kirkuk with Tikrit in the south had exploded as a column of vehicles belonging to construction contractors working for the American occupation forces drove past. The explosion destroyed on of the vehicles, killing four contractors.
In his report, the correspondent said that since Thursday morning, US troops had closed the main road to the area and American helicopters had been rocketing houses in the city. As of the time of reporting, the American air assaults had killed four Iraqi civilians and wounded three more.

Resistance rockets notorious Camp Bucca prison at dawn Thursday.
In a dispatch posted at 11:15am Mecca time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the people of al-Basrah had awakened at dawn on Thursday to the sound of four massive explosions that rocked the notorious American prison, Camp Bucca.
The al-Basrah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the four explosions shook the prison camp area at about 5:30am local time, sending clouds of black and white smoke billowing up over the facility and setting off sirens that wailed continuously for 10 minutes.
A source in the puppet forces told Mafkarat al-Islam that the explosions had been caused by rockets blasting into various parts of the prison camp where US and British soldiers are barracked.
British Prime Minister arrives in occupied Iraq on surprise visit.
British Prime Minister Tony Blair arrived in al-Basrah on Thursday on a previously unannounced visit, Quds Press reported. A source in al-Basrah told Quds Press that Blair arrived at a British base in the city aboard a military aircraft. Immediately upon arrival he met a number of British commanders and was expected also to meet British troops and Iraqi civilians.
A spokesman for the British Consulate in Baghdad announced that Blair was to come to Baghdad to meet with Iraqi puppet officials to congratulate them on the recent “election” theatrical of 15 December that was noteworthy for massive vote fraud.
