Resistance pounds American al-Habbaniyah base Tuesday night.
In a bulletin posted at 8:35pm Mecca time Tuesday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported from al-Habbaniyah that Iraqi Resistance forces had unleashed a violent barrage on the US base in the city located west of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the barrage had begun about a quarter hour before and was still continuing as he filed his report. Located near the environs of the US base, the correspondent wrote that more than 15 mortar rounds had been fired at the American-occupied facility, most of them blasting directly into it. At the time of writing, sirens were wailing inside the base as pillars of thick smoke billowed up from inside the compound.
Al-Fallujah.
Resistance bomb blasts US Humvee in ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah Tuesday afternoon.
An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol near the al-‘Anazah Bridge in the as-Saddah area of ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah, south of the city of al-Fallujah, at 4pm local time Tuesday afternoon.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah reported that the bomb went off as a patrol of four US Humvees was passing by. The explosion damaged one of the Humvees. A Resistance bomb had struck another American patrol in the same area just some seven hours earlier. (See story below.)
Resistance bomb blasts US armored vehicle in ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah Tuesday morning.
An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military patrol in the ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah area, south of the city of al-Fallujah, at 10am local time Tuesday morning.
The ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as describing the bomb as a high-explosive device that blasted a column of three armored vehicles near that al-‘Anazah Bridge in the as-Saddah area.
The correspondent reported the witnesses as saying that the blast damaged one of the armored vehicles in the patrol, setting it on fire. The vehicle continued to burn for a long time and helicopters were then seen landing in the area, apparently to evacuate the dead.

Resistance forces ambush US supply convoy near Abu Ghurayb prison camp.
In a dispatch posted at 6:10pm Mecca time Tuesday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a truck convoy hauling provisions to US bases on the highway west of Baghdad.
The Abu Ghurayb correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the highway near the notorious Abu Ghurayb prison camp blew up as a convoy of supply trucks was driving past loaded with provisions for US bases. The attack set fire to one of the trucks, killing the truck driver who was working for the US occupation forces.

In a dispatch posted at 11:30am Mecca time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US military column on a farm road in the az-Zaydan area to the south of Abu Ghurayb, some 30km west of Baghdad
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of az-Zaydan as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road that goes east to ar-Ridwaniyah in Baghdad blew up as an American column of several armored vehicles and Humvees was driving past.
The witnesses said that the explosion disabled one American armored vehicle, killing one US soldier aboard it and wounding another three of them.

Resistance forces ambush puppet police patrol in western Baghdad.
In a dispatch posted at 6:20pm Mecca time Tuesday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters had attacked an Iraqi puppet police patrol in the Nafaq ash-Shurtah (Police Tunnel) area of western Baghdad.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of the Nafaq ash-Shurtah area who witnessed the attack as saying that Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons attacked the patrol, damaging several patrol vehicles and killing four of the puppet policemen and wounding three more of them. The Resistance fighters then withdrew from the area.
Resistance ambushes fuel convoy to US bases in al-Ghazaliyah area.
In a dispatch posted at 6pm Mecca time Tuesday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had attacked a convoy of trucks hauling fuel to US bases on the highway near the al-Ghazaliyah area of western Baghdad.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons attacked the convoy, setting fire to two loaded fuel trucks. One of the drivers working for the US occupation forces was killed and a second wounded.
Resistance rockets house of puppet regime’s “National Security Adviser.”
In a dispatch posted at 4:25pm Mecca time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier Iraqi Resistance fighters had unleashed a rocket barrage on the home of Muwaffaq ar-Rabi‘i, a leader of the Shi‘i sectarian Supremem Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq (SCIRI) whose armed wing, the Badr Brigades, invaded Iraq together with US forces in spring 2003. Ar-Rabi‘i currently serves as “National Security Adviser” to the American-installed puppet regime by order of the US occupation.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam in Baghdad’s al-Kazimiyah area reported tha two rockets blasted directly into the house located near the tomb of the medieval Shi‘i Imam Musa al-Kazim. Two other rockets landed nearby. The attack severely damaged the house and ambulances were seen racing to the area. No information on the nature or extent of casualties as a result of the attack was immediately available, nor was it known whether ar-Rabi‘i was in the house at the time.
Resistance bomb targets puppet “Shock Troop” patrol in Baghdad al-Jadidah.
In a dispatch posted at 2:25pm Mecca time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a patrol of puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops” in the Baghdad al-Jadidah area in the southeast of the occupied Iraqi capital.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of Baghdad al-Jadidah who witnessed the attack as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the main road in the area blew up as the patrol passed by, disabling one pickup in the column and killing two “Shock Troops.” Three more of the puppet “Shock Troops” were wounded in the explosion, as were two civilians, the correspondent reported.

In a dispatch posted at 12:30pm Mecca time Tuesday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had shelled a headquarters of the puppet “Iraqi National Guard” in Jurf as-Sakhr, south of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the explosion of three mortar rounds rocked the headquarters of the puppet “National Guard,” sending plumes of smoke rising from inside the facility.
Resistance bomb rips through Iraqi puppet army column near al-‘Amiriyah.
In a dispatch posted at 10:25am Mecca time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by an Iraqi puppet army column on the road between al-‘Amiriyah in western Baghdad and Abu Ghurayb, some 30km west of the occupied Iraqi capital.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-‘Amiriyah who witnessed the attack as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the old road leading to Abu Ghurayb blew up by an Iraqi puppet army column, setting fire to a troop transport vehicle and killing three Iraqi puppet army troops and wounding two more of them.

Two contractors serving US occupation forces killed in Resistance ambush.
In a dispatch posted at 1:55pm Mecca time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had attacked three Iraqi contractors working with the American occupation army on the road to the US base in ad-Dujayl just north of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that Resistance fighters attacked a car carrying three Iraqi contractors working for the US occupation in the Americans’ ad-Dujayl base. Two of the contractors were killed and the third seriously wounded, the source said.
After the attack, US military forces surrounded the area and transported the surviving contractor to their base for treatment.

Ferocious Resistance assault on joint US-Iraqi base in al-Latifiyah leaves 11 Americans reported killed.
In a dispatch posted at 2:50pm Mecca time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had mounted a violent attack on a joint base occupied by US and Iraqi puppet forces in al-Latifiyah, south of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police in al-Latifiyah as saying that the Resistance assault began when an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter, driving an explosives-laden car, blasted into the gate of the base amidst a hail of bullets from the base defenders who tried in vain to stop the onrushing vehicle.
The explosion destroyed the gate, at which point some 20 Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons attacked the guard posts and the troops who rushed to respond to the attack. The Resistance fighters destroyed three watchtowers and two Humvees. Another fida’i fighter burst through the breach and blew up a second car bomb inside the base.
The attack left 20 Iraqi puppet soliders dead and another eight more of them wounded. Eleven American soldiers were killed and five more wounded according to the puppet police source. Three Iraqi Resistance fighters were killed in addition to the two fida’i car bombers, and seven other Resistance men were wounded in the attack.

Resistance bomb wounds US troops on patrol in al-Hawijah.
In a dispatch posted at 11am Mecca time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US military patrol on the main road in al-Hawijah, southwest of Kirkuk in northern Iraq.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-Hawijah as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the main road west of the city blew up as an American patrol drove past. The explosion disabled one Humvee, wounding three US soldiers who were aboard it, witnesses said.

US soldier reported killed in bombing of American column in eastern Mosul.
In a dispatch posted at 2:45pm Mecca time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US column on the main road near the al-Ma‘ash Market in Mosul
The Mosul correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the main road in the east of Mosul had blown up by a column of several American armored vehicles and Humvees. The puppet police source said that the explosion disabled an armored vehicle, killing one US soldier aboard the vehicle and wounding four more of them.
Resistance sharpshooter kills US soldier in Mosul’s al-Kafa’at district.
In a dispatch posted at 11:10am Mecca time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman had shot and killed a US soldier in the al-Kafa’at section in the middle of the northern Iraqi city of Mosul.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-Kafa’at who witnessed the attack as saying that an American detachment had been on patrol on a side street in their neighborhood when an Iraqi Resistance sharpshooter opened fire, striking and killing one of the US troops.
Afterward, American forces surrounded the area and searched all the nearby houses but found no sign of the marksman.
