Al-Anbar Province.
Ar-Rutbah.
Resistance bombards US military headquarters near Jordanian border early Sunday.
Iraqi Resistance forces bombarded the US military headquarters in the Turaybil area near the city of ar-Rutbah not far from the Jordanian border in western Iraq at about 8am local time Sunday morning.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the area reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police who asked not to be identified as saying that the US facility located near the customs building was struck by two medium-range Iraqi Resistance Katyusha rockets. One of the missiles landed inside the headquarters while the second landed in the vicinity. No information on the nature or extent of US casualties was available.
Al-Qa’im.
Resistance car bomb blasts US column northwest of al-Qa’im.
In a dispatch posted at 2:20pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance car bomb had exploded by a US military column near the al-Bu Hardan area northwest of the city of al-Qa’im near the Syrian border in western Iraq.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in al-Qa’im reported eyewitnesses who live in al-Bu Hardan village as saying that an explosives-packed car that had been parked by the side of the road leading into al-Qa’im blew up as a column of several US Humvees was driving by. The explosion totally destroyed one of the Humvees, killing or injuring its four-man American crew.
US warplanes destroy four civilian houses in al-Qa’im following Resistance attack.
US F-16 fighter bombers bombed four peaceful houses south of the city of al-Qa’im near the Iraqi border with Syria, completely destroying them.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of al-Qa’im who witnessed the attack as saying that the reason for the American bomb raid was that Resistance fighters had attacked an American helicopter with medium weapons near those houses but had been unable to bring down the American aircraft. Less than an hour later the American warplanes bombed the four houses, razing them to the ground.
Local witnesses confirmed that there were no civilian casualties as a result of the American air raid because the house owners had not been able to return home after the most recent US offensive against al-Qa’im.
Ar-Ramadi.
Resistance assassinates deputy puppet police commander for al-Anbar Province.
In a dispatch posted at 10:40am Mecca time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters assassinated the deputy commander of the puppet police in al-Anbar Province, Major Mushhin Mash‘an Nayif al-Hardan as he was coming out of his house in the middle of ar-Ramadi.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of ar-Ramadi who witnessed the attack as saying that Resistance fighters armed with automatic weapons and PKS machine guns attacked the major as he emerged from his house. Dr. Usamah ar-Rawi of ar-Ramadi General Hospital told Mafkarat al-Islam that seven bullets has struck al-Hardan in various parts of his body, killing him instantly.
Baghdad.
Resistance car bomber blasts into puppet police in Baghdad.
In a dispatch posted at 2:50pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter had driven an explosives-laden car into a joint US-Iraqi puppet police patrol in the al-Bab ash-Sharqi area of Baghdad.
A source in the Iraqi puppet police told Mafkarat al-Islam that a Resistance fida’i fighter blew up his explosive car as a joint patrol passed by him on at-Tahrir Square. The explosion destroyed two Iraqi puppet police vehicles, killing six Iraqi puppet policemen and wounding four other puppet police, the source reported.
US soldier reported killed in bombing in northeastern Baghdad early Sunday afternoon.
An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military patrol in the Bab al-Mu‘azzam area of northeastern Baghdad at 2pm local time Sunday afternoon.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in Baghdad reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that a bomb that had been planted under a pavement tile by the side of the road to al-Mustansiriyah University blew up as a US patrol was passing by. Th explosion damaged a US vehicle, killing one US soldier and wounding a second.
US soldier reported killed in Sunday morning ambush in ‘Akrakuf west of Baghdad.
In a dispatch posted at 9:15am Mecca time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked a US patrol on the old road between Abu Ghurayb and the ‘Akrakuf area that lies to the east.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of ‘Akrakuf as saying that a number of Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons and pipe rockets attacked a patrol of four US Humvees. The attackers set fire to one of the Humvees, killing one of the US soldiers and wounding three more. Then the Resistance fighters withdrew from the area.
Salah ad-Din Province.
Tikrit.
Resistance bomb targets joint patrol south of Tikrit.
In a dispatch posted at 3:20pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in Tikrit reported that a short while earlier an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a joint US-Iraqi puppet army patrol on the road to he ad-Dawr district south of the city.
The correspondent reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police who asked not to be identified as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road to ad-Dawr blew up as the joint patrol passed by. One US soldier and two Iraqi puppet army troops were wounded in the blast, which also damaged a vehicle belonging to the Iraqi puppet army.
Al-Ishaqi.
Resisatnce bomb blasts American supply convoy early Sunday morning.
An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US truck convoy loaded with concrete barricades on the road from al-Ishaqi north to Samarra’ at 7am local time Sunday morning.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of al-Ishaqi as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road blew up as an American truck convoy drove past. The explosion set fire to one of the trucks, killing the driver who was working for the US occupation forces.
Ninwa Province.
Tall ‘Afar.
Resistance launches two-stage attack on Iraqi puppet army checkpoint north of Tall ‘Afar.
Iraqi Resistance fighters mounted a two-pronged attack with pipe rockets and medium weapons as well as mortars on an Iraqi puppet army checkpoint near the al-‘Ayyadiyah area on the road south to Tall ‘Afar in northwest Iraq at noon on Sunday.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in Mosul reported eyewitnesses in al-‘Ayyadiyah as saying that Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked the checkpoint at midday, starting a fire and destroying parts of it.
The witnesses added that after the Resistance fighters pulled out of the area, they then opened fire with mortars on the stricken checkpoint, lobbing 82mm mortar rounds into it, sending columns of smoke rising into the air.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent had no word on the nature or extent of Iraqi puppet army casualties, as US and Iraqi puppet forces surrounded the area after the attack.

An-Nasiriyah.
Resistance bombards joint Italian-Iraqi puppet army base shortly after midnight Sunday morning.
Iraqi Resistance forces bombarded the joint headquarters of Italian and Iraqi puppet army forces in the Suq ash-Shuyukh area in the middle of an-Nasiriyah shortly after midnight Sunday morning.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of the Suq ash-Shuyukh area who witnessed the mortar barrage as saying that two mortar rounds blasted into the joint Italian-Iraqi puppet army camp at about 1am local time Sunday morning.
The correspondent had no information regarding the nature or extent of casualties inflicted by the Resistance attack.
