Al-Anbar Province.

Al-Khalidiyah.

One US soldier reported killed when large Resistance land mine blasts American tank Friday afternoon.

An Iraqi Resistance land mine exploded on the road from al-Khalidiyah to ar-Ramadi in the west at 3pm local time Friday afternoon.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in al-Khalidiyah reported eyewitnesses as saying that a large-sized land mine that had been planted by the side of the road to ar-Ramadi blew up as a column of US tanks drove past on its way to that city.

The witnesses reported that the explosion set one of the US tanks on fire, killing one American soldier and wounding three more, one of them reportedly very seriously.

Al-Fallujah.

Al-Fallujah under curfew following Resistance bombardments of US, Iraqi puppet army facilities.

Iraqi Resistance forces fired 10 mortar rounds into a number of US and Iraqi puppet army positions around al-Fallujah at about 12 noon local time Friday.

Eyewitnesses told the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent that Resistance mortar rounds blasted into the headquarters of the US-recruited “Iraqi National Guard” in the ash-Shuhada’ neighborhood of al-Fallujah. A number of other places were also hit in the attack, including the Dhat as-Salasil School which the “Iraqi National Guard” puppet forces have taken over at their headquarters in the al-Mu‘allimin neighborhood, Mafkarat al-Islam reported.

The bombardments lasted until about 2pm local time and US and Iraqi puppet forces responded by closing roads and imposing a curfew on al-Fallujah starting Friday afternoon.

Resistance bomb targets joint US-Iraqi puppet force patrol.

In a dispatch posted at 2:50pm Mecca time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a joint US-Iraqi puppet army patrol in the middle of al-Fallujah near the al-Hadrah al-Muhammadiyah crossing on the road to ath-Tharthar.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in al-Fallujah reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road near the al-Hadrah al-Muhammadiyah Mosque blew up as a joint patrol was driving past. The blast disabled one vehicle in the patrol, wounding two American troops and one Iraqi puppet army soldier.

Baghdad.

Four foreign mercenary contractors reported killed in Resistance ambush south of Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 3:20pm Mecca time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters had attacked a column of armor-plated four-wheel drive vehicles of the type used by mercenary “security contractors” working for the US military occupation forces on the road south from Baghdad to al-Musayyib.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in Baghdad reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons attacked a the column of four-wheel drive vehicles that were carrying foreigners working for the US military. The attack set fire to two of the vehicles, killing four of the foreigners and wounding two more.

Resistance bomb kills Iraqi puppet army soldier in al-Bu Munaysir area early Friday.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a joint US-Iraqi puppet army column in the al-Bu Munaysir area east of Abu Ghurayb on the west side of Baghdad at about 8am local time Friday morning.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of al-Bu Munaysir who witnessed the bombing as saying that the explosive device had been planted by the side of the old road leading to the International Highway. The witnesses said that the bomb exploded by a passing joint US-Iraqi puppet army column, disabling one troop transport belonging to the Iraqi puppet army and killing one Iraqi puppet soldier and wounding two more of them.

Resistance bomb blasts US patrol south of Baghdad early Friday.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol of several Humvees on the farm road in the ar-Ridwaniyah area south of Baghdad at 7am local time Friday morning.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of the al-Kartan village south of ar-Ridwaniyah as saying that a bomb that had been planted in the middle of the farm road that passes by the village blew up as the US patrol passed over it. The explosion completely destroyed one American vehicle, killing two US soldiers and wounding two others, one of them seriously.

Resistance fighters ambush puppet police patrol.

In a dispatch posted at 11:25am Mecca time Friday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters equipped with light and medium arms had attacked an Iraqi puppet police patrol in the University area in western Baghdad.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of the University neighborhood as saying that five Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons, including PKS machine guns and RPK light machine guns, attacked the puppet police patrol and then withdrew. One Iraqi puppet policeman was killed and three others wounded in the ambush.

Resistance bomb targets US armored column Friday morning.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US armored column near ash-Sharaqat on the road to Baghdad at 9:30am local time Friday morning.

The Mosul correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of ash-Sharaqat as saying that a large-sized bomb that had been planted by the side of the road south to Baghdad blew up as an American column of five armored vehicles and three Humvees passed by. The blast disabled one of the armored vehicles, wounding four US soldiers, one of them seriously.

Ad-Dulu‘iyah.

Resistance bomb blasts US truck convoy hauling concrete barriers Friday morning.

At about 9am local time Friday morning, an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a column of US supply trucks loaded with cement barricades for American troops to erect around their base in ad-Dulu‘iyah.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of ad-Dulu‘iyah as saying that a bomb that was planted by the side of the road blew up as a column of several American trucks was passing by. The blast set fire to one of the trucks and wounded its driver.

At-Tarimiyah.

Resistance bombards US military headquarters in at-Tarimiyah at dawn Friday.

Iraqi Resistance forces fired six mortar rounds into the US headquarters in at-Tarimiyah, north of Bagdhad, at 6am local time Friday morning.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of at-Tarimiyah who witnessed the attack as saying that six mortar rounds blasted into the American headquarters from two different directions. The witnesses said that most of the shells struck the headquarters directly producing explosions and sending pillars of smoke into the sky.

Iraqi girl reportedly raped by US Marines.

In the first days of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan (which began on 5 October) US Marines reportedly abducted and raped a 16-year-old Iraqi girl whom they later dumped in the middle of a road outside of the city of al-Hillah, south of Baghdad.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported a source in the al-Hillah puppet police force as saying on Friday morning that a detachment of the al-Hillah puppet police found the girl (Raqad K.), who was born in 1989 thrown o the side of the road. She had been raped and beaten by US Marines, they reported.

The source said hat the girl had been near her father’s home when the American patrol passed by and one of the Marines got out and came over and grabbed her and put her in the Humvee. She was later raped by a number of the Marines and then thrown down on a road outside of the center of al-Hillah.

The source told Mafkarat al-Islam that the girl was taken to hospital where she underwent treatment, but she remained in unstable condition because of the violence of the rape by the Marines. The girl was afraid to go home to her family because she feared that her relatives would kill her to “wipe out the shame” as the source put it.

Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi human rights association pledged to take care of the girl’s case, and said that they would file a legal case against the US military in the matter. The correspondent noted, however, that this case would be joining hundreds of others brought in recent times before the courts that have aroused no interest on the part of the US-installed Iraqi governmental authorities nor other humanitarian agencies working in league with them.

Al-Mada’in.

Resistance car bomb blasts joint US-Iraqi puppet army patrol midday Friday.

An Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by a joint US-Iraqi puppet army column in al-Mada’in on the road to Baghdad to the northwest at 1pm local time Friday.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in al-Mada’in reported witnesses as saying that an explosives-laden car that was parked by the side of the road leading to Baghdad blew up as the joint column passed by, setting one of the Iraqi troop transports on fire and disabling one American Humvee. Three Iraqi puppet army troops were killed and four others wounded. Two US soldiers were also injured in the bombing.
