Dr. ar-Rawi confirmed that no bodies of Resistance fighters nor even any wounded Resistance fighters had come to the hospital.
Dr. ar-Rawi said that US forces were preventing medical teams from recovering bodies from under the rubble of bombed-out houses.
Meanwhile, the women’s physician Dr. Su‘ad al-‘Umar told the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent that one pregnant woman had died inside the hospital after coming to the hospital already near death. The child was removed from the woman surgically and is in excellent health, Dr. Su‘ad al-‘Umar said.
Al-Jazeera satellite TV reported Sunday that medical sources reported that seven Iraqis, including women and children, were killed and others wounded when a US helicopter opened fire on a farm tractor that they were riding in the village of ar-Rummanah. The doctor added that an ambulance driver tried to rescue the wounded from that attack but US gunfire cut him down as well.
Meanwhile, al-Jazeera reported the American Associated Press (AP) as saying that hundreds of residents of the village of Sa‘dah, the target of savage US attacks on Saturday, had crossed the border into Syria, seeking safety from the American onslaught.
