Friday, 30 September 2005.

Al-Anbar Province.

Al-Habbaniyah.

Resistance bombards US base at al-Habbaniyah with Katyusha rockets early Friday morning.

Iraqi Resistance forces fired four Katyusha rockets into the US military air field in al-Habbaniyah at 8am local time Friday morning.

The al-Habbaniyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the US base set up in al-Habbaniyah air base was struck by four Katyusha rockets that set off violent explosions inside the facility.

The witnesses reported that American fighter aircraft prowled the sky after the attack as thick smoke covered the sky over the base, indicating that severe damage had been done.

Al-Hadithah.

Two US troops reported killed in al-Hadithah bombing early Friday.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column on the highway in the area of al-Hadithah in western Iraq at 7am local time Friday morning.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported witnesses as saying that the blast destroyed one US Humvee, killing two American soldiers and wounding another.

Afterwards, US forces closed all roads leading to the area and set up checkpoints at which they inspected all vehicles, big and small. One US helicopter was seen landing on the highway to evacuate the dead and wounded.

Ar-Ramadi.

Two US soldiers reported killed by Iraqi Resistance sharpshooters.

In a dispatch posted at 11:45am Mecca time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier two Iraqi Resistance marksmen had shot and killed two US troops in the middle of the city of ar-Ramadi, 110km west of Baghdad.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the city reported that two Resistance sharp shooters picked off the American soldiers on top of the governorate building in ar-Ramadi and then left the area.

American troops closed al-Barid Street, on which the governorate building is located, following the shootings, and then launched a campaign of searches throughout buildings and streets in the area opposite. The US forces found nothing, however and at the time of reporting American troops accompanied by tanks and armored vehicles were still deployed in the center of ar-Ramadi.

Resistance bombards US al-Warrar base at dawn Friday.

Iraqi Resistance forces unleashed a mortar barrage at the US al-Warrar base east of ar-Ramadi at 6am local time Friday morning.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in ar-Ramadi reported eyewitnesses in the at-Ta’mim area adjacent to the US base as saying that awoke to the sound of seven explosions that rocked the US-occupied facility. Flames and smoke could be seen rising within the camp as explosions continued to resound.

US helicopters and warplanes flew about overhead but no information on the nature or extent of casualties was available.

Baghdad.

US soldier reported killed in bombing in western Baghdad late Friday afternoon.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol on the highway at the intersection in the al-‘Adl neighborhood of western Baghdad at 5pm local time Friday afternoon.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted on the highway in al-‘Adl blew up as the US patrol drove past.

The witnesses reported that the blast destroyed a Humvee, killing one American soldier and wounding two more.

After the attack, US forces closed the highway for about an hour as they eveacuated the dead and wounded an hauled away the wreckage of their demolished Humvee

Salah ad-Din Province.

Samarra’.

Resistance bombards puppet regime forces in Samarra’ headquarters early Friday morning.

Iraqi Resistance forces fired four rockets into the headquarters of the US-installed “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troop Forces” and puppet “National Guards” in the middle of Samarra’, north of Baghdad at 7:30am local time Friday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam in Samarra’ reported eyewitnesses as saying that four S5K rockets blasted into the governorate building in Samarra’ ﾐ which the puppet regime forces have taken over as their military headquarters.

The sources said that three “National Guards” were killed and two others wounded. Heavy damage was also inflicted on the building.

Afterwards, Iraqi puppet regime forces opened fire indiscriminately before ambulances arrived to transport the casualties to the Samarra’ hospital.

Ad-Dulu‘iyah.

Three US troops reported killed in Iraqi Resistance bombing Thursday night.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol on the road between Baghdad and ad-Dulu‘iyah to the north at 9pm local time on Thursday evening.

The ad-Dulu‘iyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported witnesses as saying that a bomb that the Resistance had planted by the side of the highway went off as a US patrol was passing. The explosion destroyed one US Humvee, killing three US troops. After the attack American forces closed off the area and evacuated the bodies.

Diyala Province.

Ba‘qubah.

Resistance car bomber blasts checkpoint Friday afternoon leaving a reported two US troops dead.

An Iraqi Resistance fighter drove an explosives-laden car into a checkpoint jointly manned by US and Iraqi puppet regime forces on an outer road at the entrance to the city of Ba‘qubah, northeast of Baghdad at 3pm local time Friday afternoon.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in Ba‘qubah reported that the blast killed two US soldiers and four Iraqi puppet “National Guards.” After the attack, US forces closed the main road in the city and started searching cars out of fear that another car bomb might be awaiting them.

At-Ta’mim Province.

Kirkuk.

Three US troops reported killed when car bomber drives into column Friday afternoon.

An Iraqi Resistance fighter rove and explosives-packed pickup into a US military column on the main road linking Kirkuk with Baghdad at 4pm local time Friday afternoon.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in Kirkuk reported eyewitnesses as saying that the Resistance fighter drove his pickup into the midst of the US column as it drove along the main street in the city. The blast destroyed one Humvee, killing three US soldiers and wounding two more. US troops then closed the road and evacuated their dead and wounded.

Afternoon Resistance attack on motorcade of Iraqi puppet “Minister” leaves three bodyguards dead.

Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked the motorcade of the US-installed “Iraqi Minister of Construction and Housing,” Muhammad Jasim, in the al-‘Azim area of Kirkuk on the main road to Baghdad Friday afternoon, the German Press Agency reported, as monitored by Mafkarat al-Islam.

A source in the Kirkuk road and project police told a correspondent for the German Press Agency that the “Minister” Muhammad Jasim was not in fact in the motorcade, but that the attack left three of the “Minister’s” bodyguards dead and a fourth seriously wounded.

Ninwa Province.

Tall ‘Afar.

Resistance bomb targets column of Iraqi puppet “National Guards” Friday afternoon.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a vehicle belonging to the US-recruited puppet “Iraqi National Guard” as it was driving along the main road in the city of Tall ‘Afar in northern Iraq at 4:30pm local time Friday afternoon.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in Tall ‘Afar reported eyewitnesses as saying that the bomb blew up as a puppet “National Guard” patrol was driving down the main road. The bomb blast destroyed a pickup truck belonging to the puppet “National Guards” and killed four “National Guardsmen” and wounded two more.

After the explosion, Iraqi puppet forces opened fire indiscriminately in the area, seriously wounding two civilians in the area. The civilians were then taken to hospital. With the help of American occupation troops, the Iraqi puppet forces sealed off the area after the explosion and shooting.

Mosul.

Two US troops reported killed in morning bombing.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military patrol in the al-Karamah area in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul at 9am local time Friday morning.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in Mosul reported sources in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that the Resistance bomb destroyed a US Humvee, killing two American troops and wounding two more US soldiers.

The correspondent noted that US forces closed off and surrounded the area after the attack, and then arrested four people whom they “suspected” of involvement in the bombing.
