US warplane blasts houses, then returns to rocket rescuers, killing 41 Iraqi civilians in savage pre-dawn raid near al-Qa’im.
An American warplane bombed four houses and one commercial shop in the al-Baydah area near al-Qa’im before dawn at 3am Monday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam said that this latest of many American air raids on the area ミ and one of the most bloody ミ left 41 local civilians dead, 23 of them women and children, and another 11 local residents wounded.
The correspondent reported a source in al-Qa’im Hospital as saying that all those who were injured are in grave condition.
In its dispatch on the American attacks, Quds Press reported that the raids affected the villages of al-Baydah and al-Karabilah and that 41 Iraqi residents had been killed in the air raid and another 20 wounded.
Al-Jazeera satellite TV reported medical sources had confirmed about 40 Iraqi deaths in the American raid, 12 of them children, and another 10 wounded.
Eyewitnesses told the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent that the US warplane fired another rocket at the houses after the initial attack once people had gathered to try to help the victims. This second attack on the local rescuers greatly increased the death toll, the witnesses said.
Quds Press quoted local resident Shaykh Ahmad al-Karbuli as saying that the American aircraft bombed villagers after they had gathered to help rescue victims and recover bodies from the initial air strike.
Dr. Ahmad al-‘Ani of al-Qa’im General Hospital told Quds Press that his facility had received about 40 bodies and about 20 wounded people. He said that half of the victims were women and children and noted that some of the injured had been severely wounded.
Sources close to the Iraqi Resistance in al-Qa’im told Quds Press that they have had no presence in the city for almost a month. There have been attacks near al-Qa’im and in its environs targeting US forces and bases, the source acknowledged, but none of those attacks are launched from al-Qa’im or the area hit by Monday’s air raids.
The US military announced on Monday that it had struck a house in which what it called “terrorists” had taken refuge. In a similar attack on what US forces claimed was a “terrorist hideout” two days earlier, US aircraft killed 10 Iraqi civilians, including several women and children, Quds Press noted. On Wednesday, 26 October, US air raids in the nearby area of ar-Rummanah left more than 20 villagers dead.
Al-Jazeera reported Iraqi sources as saying that in Monday’s raid the majority of the victims were natives of the nearby town of al-Hasibah who had taken refuge in the al-Baydah area following US attacks on their native village.
Resistance bombards US military camp near al-Qa’im midday Monday.
In a dispatch posted at 12:25pm Mecca time Monday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier Iraqi Resistance forces had fired four rockets into a US base near al-Qa’im.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that three pillars of thick smoke rose over the US-occupied facility and two American Apache helicopters were seen flying over the area after the attack.

US fires, arrests chief of puppet police in al-Anbar Province.
US occupation forces fired the puppet police commander of al-Anbar Province, Brigadier General Shakir Muhammad Salih and placed him under arrest.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in ar-Ramadi, the capital of al-Anbar Province, reported sources in the puppet provincial government building as saying that the US authorities, the real rulers of occupied Iraq, appointed an American military commander to command the puppet police.
The source told Mafkarat al-Islam that the Americans had received information that Shakir Salih, the puppet police chief, had been involved and cooperating with the local Iraqi Resistance.
Ar-Rutbah.
US soldier reported killed in Resistance land mine explosion Monday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 12:30pm Mecca time Monday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance land mine that had been planted by the side of a road exploded by a detachment of US troops in ar-Rutbah, near the Jordanian border, on Monday morning.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in ar-Rutbah reported a source in the Iraqi puppet army as saying that what he called a “primitive mine” had that had been planted by the side of a road in the town blew up, disabling one Humvee and killing one US soldier and wounding three more American troops.
The correspondent reported seeing a number of US military vehicles surrounding the area and evacuating the American casualties.
Al-Fallujah.
Resistance attacks American troops building road from as-Saqlawiyah to US base in al-Habbaniyah.
Iraqi Resistance forces attacked US forces that had been working since Monday morning on building a road from the highway west of as-Saqlawiyah to the US base in al-Habbaniyah.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the area reported that the Americans had masse their equipment and were working on the road near the Japanese bridge whe Iraqi Resistance forces bombarded the US troops with 60mm mortars. Combat between the American occupation troops and the Resistance erupted after the initial shelling, inflicting losses on both sides.
The correspondent reported that Resistance SPG9, S5, and RPG7 rockets damaged three US armored vehicles and two Humvees, and that heavy gunfire was exchanged between the sides after the initial rocket attacks. Three Resistance fighters were reported to have been killed in the fighting.
Resistance car bomb blasts US column in southern al-Fallujah Monday afternoon.
An Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by a US military column on the main road opposite the industrial zone in southeastern al-Fallujah at 3pm local time Monday afternoon.
The local correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Resistance fighters used remote control devices to detonate an explosives-laden car without a driver as an American column of 20 military vehicles was driving past.
The correspondent reported that the explosion severely damaged two of the vehicles in the American column. Eyewitnesses said that one of the two vehicles a Humvee and the other was a Zeal troop transport loaded with American soldiers. The correspondent was unable to obtain exact information on the nature or extent of American casualties.
Resistance bomb blasts joint US-Iraqi puppet army patrol in al-Fallujah.
In a dispatch posted at 3:55pm Mecca time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a joint US-Iraqi puppet army patrol on the main road near the industrial zone in the southeastern part of al-Fallujah.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the city reported eye witnesses as saing that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road blew up as a joint patrol drove past. The explosion set one of the Iraqi puppet army vehicles of fire and damaged one Humvee. The correspondent reported that three Iraqi puppet army soldiers were killed in the bombing and three other soldiers wounded, one of them an American.
Iraqi Resistance pounds US-Iraqi puppet army camps in al-Fallujah.
In a dispatch posted at 3:20pm Mecca time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had bombarded two joint US-Iraqi puppet army camps in al-Fallujah with mortars.
The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of the city who witnessed the attacks as saying that Resistance forces fired mortar rounds into one of the camps setting off explosions inside the compound. Then, some 15 minutes later, Resistance fighters bombarded another joint camp. The correspondent had no information on the nature or extent of casualties.
US forces find bodies of four Iraqi puppet army soldiers in southern al-Fallujah at dawn Monday.
At dawn on Monday, US occupation forces discovered the bodies of four Iraqi puppet army soldiers who had been shot to death in al-Fallujah’s southern neighborhood of ash-Shuhada’.
The local Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported a source in the local Iraqi puppet police as saying that the four soldiers belonged to the Iraqi puppet army’s 8th Brigade, which operates under the Americans in al-Fallujah.
There had been a report that the four Iraqi puppet army soldiers had disappeared Sunday night from an observation post in the southern part of the city.
The local puppet army in al-Fallujah acknowledged the death of its four soldiers, announcing that they had been found blindfolded and shot to death.

US admits seven American troops killed in last 24 hours.
The US military issued a statement on Monday saying that within the last 24 hours the American occupation forces had suffered seven US dead in various Resistance attacks across the country.
The official American statement said that four US soldiers had been killed in an attack on an American patrol in al-Yusufiyah in Babil Province, south of Baghdad.
The US statement said that two more American troops died when an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by their patrol near the town of Balad in Salah ad-Din Province, some 70km north of the occupied Iraqi capital.
One US Marine was killed, the American statement admitted, when a Resistance bomb exploded by his vehicle in the western Baghdad district of al-‘Amiriyah.
In reporting the American statement al-Jazeera satellite TV reported that according to US statistics, the rate of Resistance attacks on US occupation forces was now at its highest level in nearly nine months, with a total of about 92 US troops officially admitted as killed in the month of October.
Resistance attacks Iraqi puppet police checkpoint in az-Za‘faraniyah.
In a dispatch posted at 2:10pm Mecca time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters had attacked an Iraqi puppet police checkpoint in the az-Za‘faraniyah area of southern Baghdad.
The local Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that six Iraqi Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons and hand grenades attacked the checkpoint. Three Iraqi puppet policemen were killed and two others wounded in the attack. One of the Resistance attackers also perished in the engagement, the source said.

Resistance bombards Buhriz puppet police station at noon.
Iraqi Resistance forces fired four mortar rounds at the Iraqi puppet police station in Buhriz, northeast of Baghdad, at 12 noon local time Monday.
The local Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of nearby Ba‘qubah who witnessed the attack as saying that the puppet police station came under Resistance attack and that three of the mortar rounds blasted into the headquarters, while a fourth shell landed on a neighboring building, seriously damaging it.
Salman Bak.
US carries out mass arrests in Salman Bak.
US occupation forces backed by Iraqi puppet “Interior Ministry Troops” surrounded the Salman Bak area southeast of Baghdad around 5am on Monday morning, closing all roads leading in or out as well as the main streets in the town itself. The US forces then proceeded to carry out mass arrests in the city.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in Salman Bak reported eyewitnesses as saying that more than 70 local people had been arrested in the massive roundups. The Americans regarded them as suspects charged with taking part in attacks on US or puppet-regime forces in areas south of Baghdad.

Demonstration demands release of woman captured by puppet forces.
Dozens of local residents took to the streets of al-Latifiyah, south of Baghdad and gathered in front of the local American base to demand the release of a woman arrested by troops of the Iraqi puppet “Interior Ministry.”
Residents of al-‘Umran village near al-Latifiyah told Quds Press that puppet “Interior Ministry” troops shot Sajidah al-Khalidi in the leg and then arrested her. No reason was given for the arrest thel local residents said. Also arrested were Shaykh Jabir al-Khalidi and Shayk Karim Salman al-Ghariri both of them men in their seventies.
Quds Press noted that US forces regularly arrest Iraqi women in an effort to pressure their husbands or other male relatives to surrender to the occupation authorities. This was the first known occasion in which the Iraqi puppet forces had apparently adopted the same tactic. The puppet “Interior Ministry” troops have repeatedly been accused of involvement in sectarian anti-Sunni raids and arrests in the country.

Three Iraqi contractors working for US occupation forces killed while leaving American base.
Iraqi Resistance fighters assassinated three Iraqi contractors working for the US occupation forces in the northern city of Mosul on Monday.
The Mosul correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that men in three cars attacked the contractors as they left the American al-Ghazlani base in the city, unleashing a hail of bullets on them and killing them instantly.
A source in the Iraqi puppet police told the Mafakrat al-Islam correspondent that the three businessmen working for the US military in contracting, and in providing equipment, and food.

Mysterious bomb targets crowded shopping area in al-Basrah Monday night.
A car bomb exploded in a commercial area in the middle of the southern Iraqi city of al-Basrah at about 8:30pm local time Monday evening, killing or wounding dozens of people.
Sources in the Iraqi puppet police reported that the bomb exploded in an area full of shops and restaurants crowded with customers who gathered after the Ramadan fast had ended for the day at sunset.
Rescue teams worked to remove human remains from the area in front of a crowded restaurant on al-Jaza’ir Street. Mafkarat al-Islam, which monitored the Reuters report on the suspicious bombing, reported that no further details on the blast were available.
