Al-Anbar Province.

Ar-Ramadi.

Resistance sharpshooter kills US soldier in ar-Ramadi early Sunday afternoon.

An Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed a US soldier in the ath-Thilah area in the middle of ar-Ramadi at 2pm local time Sunday afternoon.

The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of ath-Thilah who saw the incident as saying that an Iraqi Resistance sharpshooter opened fire on a US soldier who was a part of a foot patrol backed up by four Humvees on the road to ar-Ramadi General Hospital. The American soldier took a direct hit and fell dead instantly.

After the attack, US forces surrounded the area and began searching nearby homes but found nothing.

Car bomb blasts US column in ar-Ramadi early Sunday.

An Iraqi car bomb exploded by a US military column on al-Muhafazah Road in the middle of ar-Ramadi at about 6:30am local time Sunday morning.

The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local residents as saying that they were not sure whether the car bomb was driven by a Resistance fighter or was simply parked by the side of the road. But they say the wreckage of a burning US Humveee in the middle of the street and an American helmet some 20 meters away from the scene.

Al-Fallujah.

Resistance blasts US-occupied house with heavy mortar shell Sunday afternoon.

Iraqi Resistance forces fired a heavy 120mm mortar shell into a house that US forces have commandeered and turned into one of their headquarters in the ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah area, south of the city of al-Fallujah, at 4pm local time Sunday afternoon.

The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the attack sent smoke rising from the American-occupied house. Witnesses said that the mortar shell scored a direct hit on the building, but the correspondent could ascertain no specific information on the nature or extent of US casualties.

Resistance bomb blasts joint patrol in as-Saqlawiyah Sunday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 11am Mecca time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a joint US-Iraqi puppet army patrol on a farm road that leads to the International Highway in as-Saqlawiyah, north of al-Fallujah.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of al-Fallujah as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road blew up by a joint patrol, disabling one Jeep belonging to the Iraqi puppet army and killing one Iraqi puppet soldier. Three other soldiers were wounded in the blast, one of them an American.

Al-Qa’im.

Resistance bombards US camp near al-Qa’im Sunday.

In a dispatch posted at 3:57pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had fired six heavy 120mm mortar rounds into a US camp on the road to the al-Karabilah area east of al-Qa’im, near the Iraqi-Syrian border.

The local Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of al-Karabilah as saying that the Resistance fired the mortar shells at the US camp from two different directions.

The barrage sent pillars of smoke rising from the American-occupied facility.

Hit.

Resistance bomb blasts Iraqi puppet army patrol in Hit.

In a dispatch posted at 10:40am Mecca time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by an Iraqi puppet army foot patrol on the road to the Youth Center in Hit ﾐ a facility that US occupation troops have taken over and turned into a local headquarters of theirs near the al-‘Ummal neighborhood in the city of Hit.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the city reported residents who witnessed the attack as saying that a bomb that had been planted under a pile of garbage by the side of the road blew up as the Iraqi puppet army foot patrol went by. The explosion killed two of the Iraqi puppet army soldiers and wounded two more.

Baghdad.

Resistance bombards US-Iraqi puppet army headquarters in ar-Ridwaniyah at noon Sunday.

Iraqi Resistance forces fired four heavy 120mm mortar rounds into the joint US-Iraqi puppet army headquarters in the ar-Ridwaniyah area of western Baghdad at 12:15pm local time Sunday.

The local Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of ar-Ridwaniyah who witnessed the bombardment as saying that the Presidential Palace in the area, which the Americans and Iraqi puppet army forces have occupied and turned into their camp, was blasted by a Resistance mortar barrage that sent pillars of smoke billowing into the sky.

Adviser to Iraqi puppet “Prime Minister” wounded in Sunday morning Resistance ambush.

Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked Ghalib ‘Abd al-Mahdi, an adviser to the US-installed “Prime Minister of Iraq” Ibrahim al-Ja‘fari and brother of the US-installed “Vice-President of Iraq” ‘Adil ‘Abd al-Mahdi in the area of Palestine Street in downtown Baghdad on Sunday morning.

Sources in the Iraqi puppet police told Quds Press that the Resistance fighters unleashed a hail of bullets at the car in which Ghalib ‘Abd al-Mahdi was riding, killing the driver of the car and wounding ‘Abd al-Mahdi and four of his companions. The Resistance attackers then left the scene.

The Iraqi puppet police reported that Ghalib ‘Abd al-Mahdi had survived the attack.

Resistance fighters ambush puppet police patrol early Sunday.

Iraqi Resistance forces attacked an Iraqi puppet police patrol in the Baghdad al-Jadidah area in the southeast of the occupied Iraqi capital at 7:30am local time Sunday morning.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of Baghdad al-Jadidah as saying that Resistance fighters armed with automatic weapons and PKS machine guns attacked the patrol of three Iraqi puppet police pickups. One of the vehicles sustained heavy damage in the attack and two Iraqi puppet policemen were killed, one of them a Lieutenant. Three other puppet policemen were wounded in the attack, after which the Resistance fighters left the scene.

Resistance car bomber blasts US column Sunday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 10:15am Mecca time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter had driven an explosives-laden car into a US column on the road between at-Tarimiyah and al-Mushahadah to the north.

The local correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that an Iraqi Resistance fighter drove a car bomb into a US column and blew up near one of the armored vehicles.

The explosion destroyed the armored vehicle, killing or wounding the five crew members. Afterwards, US troops surrounded the area and a Black Hawk helicopter landed on the scene apparently to haul away the dead and wounded and the wreckage of the vehicle.

Samarra’.

Two US troops reported killed in early morning roadside bombing.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in the al-Jubayriyah area south of Samarra’ at about 7am local time Sunday morning.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the area reported residents of Samarra’ who witnessed the bombing as saying that an explosive device that had been planted by the side of the road to the people’s market in al-Jubayriyah blew up as a patrol of five American Humvees passed by. The blast set fire to one of the vehicles, killing two US soldiers and wounding two more.

Al-Musayyib.

Iraqi Resistance fighters ambush Badr Brigade gunmen south of al-Musayyib.

In a dispatch posted at 4:10pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had attacked a column of vehicles belonging to the Badr Brigades militia, the armed wing of the pro-US Shi‘i sectarian Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq (SCIRI) on the road to the center of al-Hillah, south of Baghdad.

The local Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of al-Musayyib as saying that a number of Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons and riding in two cars attacked the column of five Badr Brigade cars on the road to al-Hillah south of al-Musayyib.

The Resistance attackers set two of the Badr Brigade Land Cruisers on fire, killing four Badr Brigade gunmen and wounding three more.

Witnesses said that one of the dead was an official in charge of the Badr Brigades in the al-Qasim area in the south of al-Musayyib. At the time of reporting, the Iraqi puppet army had surrounded the scene of the attack and had closed the highway in the area.

Diyala Province.

Al-Khalis.

Resistance ambushes puppet “Interior Ministry” patrol.

In a dispatch posted at 3:49pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters had attacked a patrol of Iraqi puppet “Interior Ministry” troops in the area of al-Khalis, north of Baghdad.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the area reported residents of al-Khalis who witnessed the attack as saying that Resistance fighters armed with automatic weapons and medium weapons heavily damaged one of the puppet army troops’ vehicles.

The correspondent reported that three of the puppet “Interior Ministry” troops were killed and four more of them wounded in the ambush. One Resistance fighter was also killed and another wounded in the engagement.

Ba‘qubah.

Mysterious explosion leaves 25 Iraqis dead in town of mixed Sunni and Shi‘i residents.

Twenty-five Iraqis died and more than 45 more were injured when a powerful car bomb exploded in a small town near Ba‘qubah, northeast of Baghdad, shortly before sunset on Saturday.

Quds Press reported a source in the Ba‘quba puppet police as saying that a car that had been loaded with explosives and parked near a coffee house in the town of al-Huwaydir, on the Diyala River, blew up about 10 minutes before sunset would end the day of fasting on Saturday afternoon, 29 October.

The source said that the explosion was powerful and inflicted heavy damage to numerous little shops in the area and also to the large mosque nearby. Witnesses said that the vehicle bomb was a small truck that someone was driving. Quds Press quoted witnesses as saying that the driver attacked the large coffee house in the town, which was thronged with dozens of people waiting for the end of the fast. They noted that the coffee house was also located in the middle of the local market, which was crowded with shoppers at the time.

After the explosion, Iraqi puppet security forces and medical teams gathered at the scene where work was underway to rescue victims who then flooded Ba‘qubah General Hospital.

Quds Press reported that the bombing was mysterious, in that there was no information on who might have carried out the attack, particularly since the town of al-Huwaydir has a mixed Sunni an Shi‘i population.

At-Ta’mim Province.

Kirkuk.

Resistance bomb blasts US column south of Kirkuk late Sunday morning.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military patrol on the main road in the al-Wasiti area to the south of Kirkuk at 11:30am local time Sunday morning.

A source in the Iraqi puppet police told the local Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road exploded as a patrol of several American Humvees was driving past. The blast set fire to one of the vehicles and heavily damaged a civilian car. Two US soldiers were wounded and one Iraqi citizen was killed and a second injured in the attack.

Ninwa Province.

Tall ‘Afar.

US soldier reported killed in midday bombing near Tall ‘Afar.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US armored column on the road to the northern Iraqi city of Tall ‘Afar at 1:30pm local time Sunday.

The local Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported a source in the Mosul puppet police, who asked not to be identified, as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the highway in Tall ‘Afar blew up as a column of four US armored vehicles and three Humvees was passing by. The correspondent said that the blast disabled one of the armored vehicles, killing one US soldier and wounding three more American troops, one of them seriously.

An-Nasiriyah.

Badr Brigades stage mass sectarian arrests in an-Nasiriyah.

Shi‘i sectarian Badr Brigade forces stormed into a Sunni neighborhood in the southern Iraqi city of an-Nasiriyah on Sunday.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam in the area reported that the Badr Brigade carried out a campaign of arrests of more 100 people and at the time of writing were still conducting raids and arrests.
