創価学会（日本）のニュースレターによると、池田大作は、今年9月18日にベトナム国立ハノイ大学から名誉博士号をもらっている。
今回のハービー・ハンコックの「アメリカーベトナム国交正常化10周年記念ツアー」もスポンサーはアメリカ政府となっているが、実際のところは池田への名誉博士号授与への見返りとして、創価学会がお金を出したと見てほぼ間違いないのではないか。
ハービーのコンサートについては、どんな楽器、PA（音響）、照明（これは多少は妥協できるが）が必要か知っているが、これらのものがベトナムにあるとは到底思えない。恐らく72,3年頃に「ピンク・フロイド」が「箱根アフロディーテ」で初コンサートをやった時のように、機材は飛行機で運んだのではないだろうか（「ピンク・フロイド」の時は機材専用ジェット機一台を別にチャーターして運んだという有名なエピソードが残っている）。
アメリカ政府がスポンサーというのは、権威付けの為に良く使う手で、表向きはそうであっても、資金の出所は、多分「創価学会」だろう。

Vietnam National University of Hanoi Confers Honorary Doctorate on Soka University Founder

On September 18, Vietnam National University of Hanoi (VNU), Vietnam, conferred an honorary doctorate on Soka University founder Daisaku Ikeda. The conferral took place at Soka University's auditorium, during a Soka school alumni meeting. The honor recognizes Mr. Ikeda's outstanding contributions to promote academic, cultural and social activities for peace as well as his efforts to develop friendship between Vietnam and Japan. Attendees from VNU were: VNU President Dao Trong Thi; Vice President Vu Minh Giang; Political-Students Affairs Department Director Nguyen Thi Viet Thanh; International Relations Department Director Vu Ngoc Tu; and President's Office Chief Vu Dinh Giap.
[Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU), Vietnam's first modern institute of higher education, was established in May 1906 as the University of Indochina. VNU is the largest multidisciplinary university and research institute in Vietnam and has fostered capable individuals who have contributed to the country's industrialization and modernization. VNU holds a unique position in the tertiary education system in Vietnam, operating according to a special regulation promulgated by the prime minister. 「創価学会インターナショナル」は今年7月22日ー31日にも、「ベトナム戦争終結30周年」を記念して、「自然との対話」と題する池田大作撮影の（？）写真展をホー・チ・ミン市で行っている。
何かと「記念」をくっつけて、イベントをやり、信者獲得といったところか。

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War (1960-1975) and the independence of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. From July 22 through 31, "Dialogue with Nature," an exhibition of some 105 nature photographs by SGI President Daisaku Ikeda, was held at the Fine Arts Museum in Ho Chi Minh City, the country's largest city and economic hub.
