Al-Anbar Province.

Ar-Rutbah.

Resistance fighters attack US troops intent on raiding houses in border town of Taribil, Monday.

In a dispatch posted at 6:20pm Mecca time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters clashed fiercly with US troops in the Taribil area of western Iraq near the Jordanian border.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam in the city of ar-Rutbah reported eyewitnesses as saying that the fighting broke out when US forces surrounded the area of Taribil and were on the verge of launching raids on houses there. About 12 Resistance fighters equipped with light and medium arms attacked the US forces at the eastern entrance to the town.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported that the fighting lasted about half an hour and left about six US soldiers dead or wounded. Three Iraqi Resistance fighters were also wounded in the battle.

The witnesses reported that two American Humvees were seen ablaze near the eastern entrance to the city.

Ar-Ramadi.

Two US troops reported killed in Resistance ambush on joint patrol in ar-Ramadi market Monday afternoon.

Iraqi Resistance forces attacked a joint US-Iraqi puppet army patrol in the market area of central ar-Ramadi, 110km west of Baghdad at 3:30pm local time Monday afternoon.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in ar-Ramadi reported eyewitnesses as saying that Resistance fighters equipped with light and medium arms attacked the joint column, sparking a fierce firefight that lasted about 15 minutes. The clash left one American Humvee on fire and two US soldiers dead and four more wounded.

The local witnesses reported that one of the Resistance fighters was also killed in the battle and three local shops in the area were also damaged.

Resistance bomb blasts US column west of ar-Ramadi late Monday morning.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded near the Kilometer 5 area west of ar-Ramadi (which is located 110km west of Baghdad) at 11am local time Monday morning.

The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a bomb that had been planted next to the old road lading to the city of Hit in the west blew up as a column of several American Humvees passed by.

Witnesses reported that the blast heavily damaged one of the vehicles, wounding three US soldiers.

With prisons brimming over with “suspected Resistance supporters,” US resorts to new tactic ﾐ breaking Iraqis’ arms and legs.

US forces have begun using a new tactic against individuals they suspect of involvement in the Resistance against their occupation of Iraq ﾐ they break their arms and legs.

A source in ar-Ramadi General Hospital told the correspondent for Quds Press that 20 cases of Iraqi patients with broken extremities had been registered for Iraqis who had been arrested by the US occupation forces.

The Hospital source told Quds Press that US troops have begun raiding houses and shooting at the arms and legs of anyone inside to prevent them from doing anything against the troops.

Quds Press has learned from numerous residents of ar-Ramadi that their legs had been broken by US troops. A source in the Iraqi puppet army told Quds Press that the American military have begun resorting to breaking limbs because there is no more room in the prisons in occupied Iraq to hold all the “suspected Resistance supporters” being rounded up by the US troops, particularly in al-Anbar Province.

The source said that the US forces had rejected a proposal advanced by Iraqi puppet army officers to expand the prisons. The Americans told the Iraqis that expanded prisons would only mean that a larger number of troops would have to be detailed to guard the facilities, and they could not be certain that they would be given the men for such a task.

Al-Habbaniyah.

Resistance bombards US airbase in al-Habbaniyah Monday afternoon.

Iraqi Resistance forces fired four heavy 120mm mortar rounds into the US “as-Saqr” Airbase in al-Habbaniyah, west of Baghdad at 3pm local time Monday afternoon.

The al-Habbaniyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the four heavy mortar shells blasted into the US base, sending up clouds of smoke into the sky.

Al-Fallujah.

Resistance bomb blasts Iraqi puppet army patrol in al-Karmah Monday morning.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by an Iraqi puppet army patrol in the al-Karmah area east of al-Fallujah at about 9:30am local time Monday morning.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of the al-Karmah area who witnessed the bombing as saying that an explosive device hat was planted by the side of ash-Shu‘lah Street to the east of al-Karmah blew up as the Iraqi puppet army patrol went past.

The blast set one of their pickups on fire and killed two Iraqi puppet army soldiers and wounded three others.

Resistance bombards US camp in Nazal neighborhood before dawn Monday.

Iraqi Resistance forces bombarded the US military camp in the Nazal neighborhood of al-Fallujah with mortars at 5am local time Monday morning.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported eyewitnesses who live in Nazal in the south of the city as saying that the Resistance fired three mortar rounds into the camp setting off three powerful explosions

Baghdad.

US soldier reported killed in roadside bombing in western Baghdad at noon.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded near a US military patrol on the road to the western Baghdad district of ash-Shu‘lah at about 12 noon local time Monday.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported a traffic warden who was near the scene of the explosion when it occurred as saying that a bomb that had been planted under a sidewalk paving tile blew up by the side of the road to ash-Shu‘lah as a patrol of four American Humvees passed by. The explosion destroyed one of the vehicles, killing one US soldier and wounding three more.

One US soldier reported killed in Resistance ambush of US patrol south of ad-Durah early Monday morning.

Iraqi Resistance fighters equipped with light and medium arms aattacked a US patrol in the ‘Arab Jabbur area south of the southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah at about 8am local time Monday morning.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of ‘Arab Jabbur who witnessed the attack as saying that the Resistance fighters ambushed a patrol of three American Humvees and then withdrew after spraying them with bullets. One US soldier was killed and another injured in the attack, the correspondent reported.

Resistance car bomb explodes in front of puppet police academy in Baghdad.

Eight Iraqis were killed and about 16 others wounded when a car bomb exploded near the US-installed “Iraqi Ministry of Petroleum” Monday morning. There were conflicting reports about the intended target of the attack, however, with the US-installed “Minstry of the Interior announcing that the target of the attack was a minivan taking employees of the “Petroleum Ministry” to work, while a source in the “Petroleum Ministry” told Quds Press that the blast was not aimed at the minivan or the “Petroleum Ministry” building but at the puppet police academy on the other side of the street. The source said that the force of the explosion was so great that it killed or wounded a number of employees of the “Petroleum Ministry” in their government minivan that was driving along the opposite side of the street at the time.

Witnesses told Quds Press hat the explosion indeed went off near a security checkpoint belonging to the puppet police academy but that the blast was so strong that it destroyed the “Petroleum Ministry” van some distance away. An Iraqi medical source told Quds Press that a number of men and women employees of the “Petroleum Ministry” had suffered amputated limbs because of the severity of their injuries.

Resistance bomb blasts Iraqi puppet army column late Monday afternoon.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by an Iraqi puppet army column in the Kilometer 37 area of al-Yusufiyah, south of Baghdad, at about 4:30pm local time Monday afternoon.

The al-Yusufiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a soldier in the Iraqi puppet army who asked not to be identified said that a bomb that had been planted next to the road in the Kilometer 37 area blew up at the moment a column of personnel carriers and four pickups drove past. The blast set one of the personnel carriers on fire, killing three Iraqi puppet army soldiers and wounding three more of them.

Salah ad-Din Province.

Al-Mushahadah.

Bomb rips through column of US Bradley armored vehicles late Monday afternoon.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US armored column on the al-Mushahadah road that leads south to Baghdad at about 4pm local time Monday afternoon.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the town of al-Mushahdadah just north of Baghdad reported a source in the Iraqi puppet regime’s “Rapid Deployment Force” as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the main road 7km from the southern entrance to al-Mushahadah exploded as a column of several US Bradley armored vehicles.

The blast disabled one of the American vehicles, wounding four US soldiers, one of them seriously, the correspondent reported.

Ash-Sharqat.

Resistance bombards US camp in northern Salah ad-Din Province Monday morning.

Iraqi Resistance forces bombarded a US military camp in the ash-Sharaqat area south of Mosul at 9am local time Monday morning.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of ash-Sharaqat as saying that the Resistance fired four mortar rounds directly into the US camp, sending up clouds of smoke.

Bayji.

Resistance attacks convoy west of Bayji.

In a dispatch posted at 11:30am Mecca time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had attacked a convoy of trucks loaded with supplies for US bases on the road linking al-‘Abbasiyah with the Bayji area west of Kirkuk

Residents of the al-‘Abbasiyah area west of Bayji told Mafkarat al-Islam that Resistance fighters attacked the convoy of several trucks, setting three of the vehicles on fire and killing four drivers who were working for the US forces.

US soldier reported killed in morning bombing west of Bayji.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column west of Bayji in the al-Jazirah area on the road to al-Hadithah at 7:30am local time Monday morning.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of al-Jazirah as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road to al-Hadithah blew up as a column of four US armored vehicles and three Humvees drove by.

The explosion disabled one Humvee, killing one American soldier and wounding two more US troops.

Kirkuk.

Explosion on oil pipeline to Turkey delays resumption of exports.

Iraqi Resistance forces blew up an oil pipe junction on the pipeline carrying Iraqi oil to Turkey. The Resistance fighters also took nine workers at the facility prisoner, according to a US-installed Iraqi petroleum official quoted by the Saudi Press Agency (WAS) in a report posted at 10:05am Monday morning Mecca time.

The official told WAS that the blast occurred near the oil center of Kirkuk and that it was likely that efforts to resume Iraqi shipments of oil to Turkey would be delayed even more now because of this latest attack.

Muthanna Province.

As-Samawah.

Resistance forces attack provincial government building as a Japanese delegation was entering the building Monday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 10:55am Mecca time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters had attacked the building housing he offices of the provincial US-installed puppet government in the southern Iraqi city of as-Samawah as a Japanese patrol was on its way into the facility on Monday.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of as-Samawah as saying that Resistance fighters equipped with light arms and pipe rockets attacked the building as the Japanese patrol was going in for what was believed to be a meeting with the provincial puppet council. The attack caused considerable damage to the building and wounded several of the guards, two of them Japanese occupation soldiers.
