Al-Anbar Province.

Ar-Ramadi.

At least three US troops killed as battles rage Saturday afternoon.

In a dispatch posted at 7:10pm Mecca time Saturday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that violent clashes broke out between Iraqi Resistance fighters and US occupation troops in various neighborhoods of the city of ar-Ramadi, 110km west of Baghdad Saturday afternoon.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in ar-Ramadi reported residents of the al-Mu‘allimin and ath-Thilah neighborhoods as well as the market area as saying that fierce fighting broke out when Resistance fighters armed with medium weapons, including PKS machineguns, other automatic weapons and RPG7 rocket-propelled grenades attacked a US patrol.

The battle left one US Humvee and an armored vehicle on fire. At least three US troops were killed and four more wounded, witnesses said.

Two of the Resistance fighters were also wounded in the combat, the witnesses reported, one of them seriously. One Iraqi civilian also died when US troops fired indiscriminately around the area after the battle.

Resistance bombards new US headquarters in confiscated soccer club.

In a dispatch posted at 4:25pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had fired eight heavy 120mm mortar rounds into the US military headquarters located at the ar-Ramadi sports club playing field in the middle of ar-Ramadi, 110km west of Baghdad.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in ar-Ramadi reported residents of the sports field area as saying that the Resistance fired its barrage of heavy mortars from two different directions directly into the US headquarters producing explosions that shook the playing field area and sent smoke billowing into the sky.

The Americans set up their headquarters in the soccer club headquarters two day ago, having brought in large numbers of troops and large quantities of equipment.

US soldier killed in bombing near ar-Ramadi Friday morning.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded between the cities of ar-Ramadi and al-Fallujah on Friday morning.

In a report posted on Saturday, Quds Press reported witnesses as saying that the blast destroyed a US Humvee. They said they saw the body of one American member of the crew on fire, while another US soldier managed to escape with injuries.

Resistance bomb blasts US convoy on American strategic road near Hit.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb explode by a column of armored Humvees on the strategic road west of Hit in western Iraq at 4pm local time Saturday afternoon.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in Hit reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the strategic road to the west (a road used by US forces for their military convoys from base to base in western Iraq) blew up as a column of eight Humvees was driving by.

The witnesses reported that the blast destroyed one of the vehicles, killing or wounding its four-man America crew.

Al-Habbaniyah.

Three US troops reported killed in early morning barrage on US base.

Iraqi Resistance forces fired seven mortar rounds into the US base at al-Habbaniyah, west of Baghdad at dawn Saturday.

A source in the Iraqi puppet army told Mafkarat al-Islam that six of the shells blew up inside the base, killng three US troops and wounding two more, both of whom were transported to the US military hospital in ar-Ramadi.

The American propaganda radio called “al-Hurriyah” that broadcasts in Arabic to the residents of al-Habbaniyah acknowledged the mortar attack but gave no details as to the casualties suffered as a result. For its part the Army of the Ansar as-Sunnah Resistance organization issued a communiqu, a copy of which the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent obtained, in which it took responsibility for the barrage.

Al-Fallujah.

One US soldier reported killed in Resistance bombing Saturday morning.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a joint US-Iraqi puppet army foot patrol on the road that follows the banks of the Euphrates River west of al-Fallujah at about 9:30am local time Saturday morning.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of the city as saying that the bomb, which had been planted near the ash-Shuhada’ Bridge in the middle of an unpaved dirt road, blew up as the patrol passed by. The explosion killed one US soldier and wounded three others, one of them an Iraqi puppet army soldier.

Baghdad.

Resistance car bomb blasts Iraqi puppet army column in al-Karradah.

In a dispatch posted at 12:20pm Mecca time Saturday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance car bomb had exploded by a column of Iraqi puppet army vehicles on the main road in the al-Karradah area of central Baghdad.

Quds Press reported that the target of the car bomb attack was a checkpoint jointly manned by Iraqi puppet army soldiers and puppet “Interior Ministry shock troops,” and that the car bomb exploded in a huge blast that was heard in many parts of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported shopkeepers in the area who witnessed the explosion as saying that an explosives-laden car that had been parked by the side of the road, blew up when the column passed by.

The explosion destroyed one of the Iraqi puppet army vehicles, killing or wounding four Iraqi puppet army soldiers and civilians, the correspondent reported, adding that three other persons nearby were also hurt.

Quds Press reported that after the attack, US and Iraqi puppet army forces closed off the area, not permitting anyone to approach. Ambulances could be seen racing to the scene.

Resistance car bomber blasts joint US-Iraqi puppet force column in ash-Sha‘b district.

In a dispatch posted at 10:17am Mecca time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fighter had driven an explosives-laden car into a joint US-Iraqi “shock troop” patrol in the ash-Sha‘b district of eastern Baghdad.

Residents of the ash-Sha‘b neighborhood told Mafkarat al-Islam that the Resistance fighter drove his car at high speed into the joint patrol and blew up near one of the Iraqi puppet forces vehicles. The explosion completely destroyed the vehicle, killing four Iraqi puppet force troops and wounding two more soldiers, one of them an American, the other Iraqi.

Diyala Province.

Al-Khalis.

Resistance ambushes patrol near al-Khalis.

In a dispatch posted at 5:20pm Saturday afternoon Mecca time, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters had attacked a joint US-Iraqi puppet army patrol in the al-Khalis area northeast of Baghdad.

The Diyala correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of the al-Khalis area who witnessed the attack as saying that Resistance fighters equipped with light arms, PKS machine guns and other automatic weapons attacked a patrol of two US Humvees and three pickups belonging to the Iraqi puppet army.

The attack left one Iraqi puppet army soldier dead and three other troops, one of them American, wounded. The Iraqi Resistance fighters withdrew from the area after spraying a hail of bullets into the patrol.

Salah ad-Din Province.

Tikrit.

Resistance bombards US headquarters in al-‘Awjah late Saturday afternoon.

Iraqi Resistance forces fired four medium-range rockets into the US headquarters in al-‘Awjah which has been set up in an Iraqi presidential palace in Tikrit at 4:15pm local time Saturday afternoon.

The Tirkit correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-‘Awdah as saying that the Resistance barrage set off violent explosions that shook the American compound.

Al-Ishaqi.

Resistance bomb blasts US truck convoy north of Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 6:05pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a truck convoy hauling concrete barriers used by US forces to protect their bases. The attack took place in the area of al-Ishaqi on the road leading south to Baghdad on Saturday afternoon.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the al-Ishaqi area reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road blew up by a column of 11 trucks loaded with concrete barriers that were under escort by four Humvees.

The witnesses said that the explosion destroyed one of the trucks, wounding the driver.

Samarra’

Resistance bombards joint US-Iraqi puppet army base Saturday morning.

Iraqi Resistance forces bombarded the joint US-Iraqi puppet forces base in the as-Sikak neighborhood of Samarra’, north of Baghdad, at 8am local time Saturday morning.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the area reported residents of as-Sikak neighborhood who witnessed the attack as saying that four mortar rounds blasted into the base, producing violent explosions that shook the base and the neighboring houses and sent smoke billowing into the sky.

After the barrage, US Black Hawk helicopters came in and overflew the base and neighboring areas to look for the Resistance attackers, but found nothing.

Balad.

Two US troops reported killed in dawn bombing near Balad.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a column of US Humvees north of Balad on the road to Samarra’ at about 6am local time Saturday morning.

The Balad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local residents who witnessed the bombing as saying that an explosive device that had been planted by the side of the road to Samarra’ blew up as the column of several American Humvees passed by.

The explosion set fire o one of the vehicles, killing two US troops and wounding two more American soldiers.

Ninwa Province.

Mosul.

Resistance ambushes puppet police patrol Saturday morning.

Iraqi Resistance fighters equipped with light arms and machineguns attacked a column of Iraqi puppet police vehicles on the road leading to the al-Ghazlani American base in the middle of Mosul in northern Iraq at 9:30am local time Saturday morning.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported Mosul residents who witnessed the attack as saying that the Resistance fighters attacked a column of five puppet police Land Cruisers, heavily damaging two of them and killing or wounding five puppet policemen, one of them a colonel. The Resistance fighters then left the area without having suffered any losses.
