Summary of the Iraqi Resistance Activities

During the period from 26/6 to 2/7/2005, the Supreme Command of the Resistance and Liberation Forces has issued 10 military communiqu市 on their redemptive operations and daily heroic clashes against the occupation forces and their collaborators in: Mosul, Samarra, Najaf, Arbeel, Fallujah, Alamara, Al-anbar, Haditha, Hait, Karkouk, Alqa’em, Alramadi, Assarimiya, Balad, Sulaimania, Aldour, Tikrit, Tellafar, Albakir port, Baghdad- which witnessed operations in Assalihiya- Almesbeh, Alkadthimiya, Athora town, Alkarada, Alamiriya, Almuthanna airport and Alharithiya.
The overall losses of the occupation forces and their mercenaries were summed up as follows:
* 367 killed.
* 441 injured.
* 2 helicopters were shot down.
* One un-manned reconnaissance plane was shot down.
* 34 armored vehicles were destroyed down.
* 3 main oil pipelines were set ablaze.
* 48 various vehicles were destroyed.
Epics and Scenes from the Heroic Actions of Mujadideen:
A US truck was set ablaze and one soldier died in Mosul.
The Iraqi resistance have succeeded in destroying one Us truck in Mosul. The Truck was carrying supplies and equipments for the occupation forces during the early hours of yesterday morning (Saturday) in Alsharghat region south of the city.
Eye-witnesses from the borough of Alsharghat said that the bomb had gone off yesterday at 10.00 pm, at an American military line consisted of several trucks carrying supplies and equipments for the occupation forces on the main road in the borough. The blast set ablaze one US truck, killed one US soldier and injured another.
An un-manned reconnaissance plane was shot down over the western part of Mosul:
Iraqi militants have succeeded on Thursday night in shooting down one US un-manned reconnaissance plane over Albaaj regioun-west of Mosul- at approximately 11.00 pm. Media sources stated that the plane was shot down when exposed to the militants’ shelling.
Four US soldiers were killed in a bomb blast in Aldoura:
Four US soldiers were killed and another one was injured in a bomb blast at an American military line in Aldoura region south of Baghdad.
An eye-witness and one traffic warden- were at the scene of the blast- said that, at 8.00 am on Friday, a highly explosive bomb went off on a roadside , killing 4 US soldiers and injuring another. In addition, the blast has resulted in the destruction of one Humvee.
Official sources from the Iraqi army appointed by the occupation, indicated to “Mufkir Al-Islam” that the fifth soldier died later of his wounds.
On their part, the US occupation forces have acknowledged the attack without giving any specific details on the nature of the attack.
A US helicopter (cobra) was shot down over Tellafar:
A short while ago, the Iraqi resistance have shot down a US helicopter type “cobra” over Tellafar, north of Baghdad. Eye-witnesses said that the US helicopter was flying at a low altitude over Altebin quarter in Tellafar, and was subjected to heavy shelling. The helicopter caught fire, then crashed at one of the nearby fields.
The occupation forces completely sealed off the area in an attempt to capture the armed militants, after they had discovered the bodies of the helicopter crew.
A landmine went off at a US military patrol killing 5 US soldiers in west Fallujah:
Five US soldiers were killed and another two were injured when a landmine went off at a US military patrol in Fallujah on Friday.
Eye-witnesses said that the hand-made landmine went off at a US patrol on foot, in “Taas Na’oomi” region. The blast has killed 5 US soldiers and injured 2 others.
The resistance militants shelled the US base in Sa’mmara by mortar:
The Iraqi resistance militants have shelled a US base by mortars in Sa’mmara north of Baghdad at 6.00 pm yesterday (Saturday).
Eye-witnesses from the local residents in Alsikak quarter near the base said that the base came under missile shelling and B-8 mortar shells. Loud explosions were heard throughout the base and columns of thick smoke were seen rising over various parts of the base.
A bomb blast killed 4 US soldiers in Alramadi:
Four US soldiers were killed and another two were injured when a bomb went off at a US military patrol in Alramadi- close to a factory for vegetable oils- north of the town.
Eye-witnesses said that at 8.00 pm on Friday, a bomb went off at a US military patrol consisted of several vehicles at Alramadi junction near the oil factory. The blast has resulted in the destruction of one Humvee, the killing of 4 soldiers and the injuring of 2 others.
A US vehicle was destroyed and 4 US soldiers were killed in a bomb blast in Abu-ghraib:
Four US soldiers were killed yesterday after their patrol had been bombed in “Khan Dthari” region south of Abu-ghraib, 30 km west of Baghdad.
According to eye-witnesses from “Khan Dthari” region, reporters said that the bomb was planted in a roadside leading to Fallujah west of Baghdad. The bomb went off when the US military patrol consisted of 6 US vehicles type “Hummer” passed by the planted bomb.
Eye-witnesses added that the blast happened at 4.00 pm local time, resulting in the destruction of one vehicle, and the killing of 4 soldiers who were on board the vehicle.
Seven US soldiers and one Egyptian translator were killed during an attack in west Alqa’em:
Seven US soldiers and one Egyptian translator were killed during an attack by a car bomb aimed at a US military line west of Alqa’em, on the Iraqi-Syrian borders on Thursday morning.
Eye-witnesses said that a vehicle type “pickup” was driven by a fedayee, and was carrying plants when it collided with an American military line at Arrommana junction, and as a result, one Us armored vehicle was destroyed and another one was severely damaged, in addition to the killing of 7 US soldiers and the injuring of 2 others. However, an official source only confirmed the killing of 7 US soldiers and one Egyptian translator during the operation.
15 US and Iraqi soldiers were killed and injured during an attack in central Baquba:
On Saturday afternoon, a number of armed militants from the Iraqi resistance have attacked a joint US-Iraqi patrol in Bihriz region in the center of Baquba, 60 km north east the capital Baghdad.
Eye-witnesses from the borough of Bihriz indicated that a number of armed militants-about 8- attacked the joint patrol, where it went into the southern quarters of the region, using light and medium size weapons.
According to the eye-witnesses, the militants succeeded- during the attack that happened at 4.00 pm local time- in setting ablaze one Hummer and a pickup belonged to the pro-occupation Iraqi forces. Three US soldiers were killed and three others were injured, in addition to the killing of 4 Iraqi soldiers and the injuring of 5 others.
Two US soldiers were killed during a bomb blast in south-west Baghdad:
At 5.00 pm on Saturday, a bomb went off at a US military line consisted of tanks in Alshordha Alka’misa region, south-west Baghdad. “Mufkir Al-Islam” reporter said- according to eye-witnesses from Albu-Amer village, south of Alshordha Alka’misa- that the bomb was planted on the side of the main road of the quarter, and went off when the military line- consisted of 8 tanks- passed by, and was heading towards Saddam International Airport. The attack resulted in the killing of 2 US soldiers and the injuring of 2 others, in addition to the damaging of one US tank.
14 US soldiers were killed and injured during clashes with the resistance forces in Alamiriya quarter:
At 6.00 pm on Friday, clashes broke out between armed militants and the enemy forces in Alamiriya quarter, west of Baghdad, close to the Headquarter of the ex- Iraqi army.
According to an official source from the Iraqi army, reporters in the region said that more than 40 militants attempted to break into the Headquarter of the US forces in Alamiriya region on Alamiriya old road. The militants have used various medium and heavy weapons, and as a result, 14 US soldiers were killed and injured. They were inside the barrack’s watchtower at the main entrance to the US Headquarter. Three Hummers were also destroyed during the attack.
