Al-Anbar Province.

Ar-Ramadi.

Two US troops reported killed in Resistance ambush Friday afternoon.

Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked a US patrol in the al-Bu Farraj area northwest of ar-Ramadi, 110km west of Baghdad at 4:30pm local time Friday afternoon.

Witnesses told the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the city that Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons including PKS machine guns and RPG7 rocket-propelled grenades attacked a US column that was driving down a farm road near the al-Bu Farraj bridge.

The witnesses said that on Humvee was destroyed in the attack, which left two US troops dead and three others wounded. Two Resistance fighters were also wounded in the engagement.

Al-Qa’im.

In a dispatch posted at 6pm Mecca time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired six heavy 120mm mortar rounds into the headquarters in the phosphate works in the area of al-‘Ubaydi near the city of al-Qa’im in western Iraq on the Syrian border.

Residents of al-‘Ubaydi told the correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam that the bombardment started big fires inside the American occupied compound that sent plumes of smoke billowing up into the sky over various areas of the headquarters.

Al-Fallujah.

Two US troops reported killed in midday roadside bombing near al-Karmah.

In a dispatch posted at 11:38am Mecca time Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a joint US-Iraqi puppet army patrol at the southern approach to the al-Karmah area, east of al-Fallujah (which is 50km west of Baghdad).

Residents of al-Karmah told the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in al-Fallujah that a bomb that was planted by the side of the main road leading to al-Fallujah blew up as a joint patrol passed by. The witnesses reported that the explosion destroyed one US Humvee, killing two American troops and wounding a third. Two Iraqi puppet army soldiers were also injured in the bombing.

Al-Habbaniyah.

Resistance bombards US al-Habbaniyah base from three directions before dawn Friday.

Iraqi Resistance forces fired 13 medium-range Katyusha rockets into the main US base in al-Habbaniyah in western Iraq, the so-called as-Saqr (Falcon) Base, at 2am local time Friday morning.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in al-Habbaniyah reported a source in the puppet “Iraqi rapid deployment force” as saying that the rockets that blasted into the base were fired from three different directions. The source said that five of the rockets slammed into a group of US vehicles inside the base, destroying three tanks and one Humvee.

The source said that two other Katyusha rockets struck near a building that serves as sleeping and recreational quarters for the American troops. Those rockets killed two American soldiers. About five others were wounded. Four other rockets blasted into the mechanical workshop inside the base, totally destroying the shop, destroying two Humvees, and killing one US soldier and severely wounding another.

Baghdad.

Three US troops reported killed in Resistance bombing in ar-Rashidiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 7pm Mecca time Friday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US foot patrol in the area of ar-Rashidiyah just north of Baghdad.

Witnesses told the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the area that a bomb that was planted by the side of a farm road in the ar-Rashidiyah area blew up as a US foot patrol accompanied by several Humvees was passing by on a mission to search for bombs.

The witnesses reported that the explosion killed three US troops and wounded three other American soldiers.

Four US troops reported killed in roadside car bombing Friday morning.

An Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by a US patrol in the as-Sayyidiyah area southwest of Baghdad at 10am local time Friday morning.

A source in the Iraqi puppet police told the Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam that the car bomb, which had been parked by the side fo the road leading to the al-Jadiriyah neighborhood in central Baghdad, blew up as a patrol of several US Humvees was passing. The explosion completely destroyed one Humvee and disabled a second. Four US troops were killed in the attack and two other American soldiers were wounded.

“‘Israeli’ Military Industries” wins contract to supply ammunition to US occupation troops in Iraq for five years.

The Zionist “‘Israeli’ Military Industries” (IMI) company has won a large bid to supply US occupation forces in Iraq with ammunition for rifles and artillery worth some US$300 million. According to the terms of the arrangement, “Israeli” manufacturers are to supply the US occupation troops in Iraq for the next five years.

The Hebrew website “News-‘Israel’”, monitored by Mafkarat al-Islam, reported that it was expected that the number of workers employed by IMI in the town of Natzrat ‘Illit (Upper Nazareth), currently 350 persons, would be increased now following the winning of the important contract with the Americans.

Mafkarat al-Islam reported the Zionist website as saying that sources in IMI had declared that this agreement is the largest armaments contract ever signed between IMI and the US military.

IMI sells light ammunition to the Zionist army and police as well as to all branches of the “Israeli” security and secret police agencies. Among its foreign customers are the armies of the United States, France, the Netherlands, Britain, Belgium, and the Scandinavian countries. Earlier this week, US President George W. Bush indicated that the US would keep a minimum of 100,000 American occupation troops in Iraq for at least four more years.

Salah ad-Din Province.

Samarra’.

Resistance attacks in Samarra’ during the day on Friday.

In a dispatch posted at 4:55pm Mecca time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had mounted several attacks on US forces in Samarra’ on Friday.

Iraqi Resistance fighters ambushed a joint US-Iraqi puppet army patrol near the popular al-Jubayriyah market in the al-Jubayriyah section of southern Samarra’. Witnesses told Mafkarat al-Islam that a battle erupted that lasted about an hour.

Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons including RPG7 rocket-propelled grenades set fire to two US Humvees and a troop carrier belonging to the Iraqi puppet army. Five American troops were killed, the witnesses reported, and four other US soldiers were wounded. Three Iraqi puppet army troops died in the engagement. The witnesses said that one of the Iraqi Resistance fighters was killed and another wounded in the battle.

In another incident, an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded at the southern entrance to Samarra’ as a US military column was passing by at 1pm local time Friday. The blast destroyed one American Humvee, killing or wounding its crew of four US soldiers, witnesses said.

In the ar-Rashad district in the west of the city Iraqi Resistance fighters armed with light weapons and pipe rockets attacked a convoy hauling provisions and military equipment to US forces along the main road through the area. Two of the trucks were destroyed in the ambush in which the two drivers, who were working for the American forces, were killed.

Resistance bombards joint US-Iraqi puppet army headquarters at noon.

Iraaqi Resistance forces fired five heavy 120mm mortar rounds into the headquarters in central Samarra’(120km north of Baghdad) jointly occupied by US troops and Iraqi puppet army soldiers at 12 noon local time Friday.

Residents of the al-Mu‘tasim neighborhood of the city told the Samarra’ correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam that powerful explosions shook the facility, known as the “School Headquarters,” and sent plumes of thick smoke billowing into the sky.

Babil Province.

Al-Mahmudiyah.

Two Resistance bombs explode by US column near al-Mahmudiyah Friday afternoon.

Two Iraqi Resistance bombs exploded by a US armored column on the main road leading to al-Mahmudiyah south of Baghdad Friday afternoon.

Residents of he town of Jurf as-Sakhr told the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent that the Resistance planted two bombs by the side of the road to al-Mahmudiyah. The first bomb exploded at 5pm local time as a column of five US armored vehicles and three Humvees was passing by. The blast destroyed one of the armored vehicles, killing or wounding the members of its four-man crew.

The second Resistance bomb exploded by a number of soldiers as they were cordoning off the area where the first blast occurred. The second explosion killed or wounded another four American troops.

Al-Latifiyah.

Three US troops reported killed when car bomber blasts into column late Friday morning.

An Iraqi Resistance martyrdom fighter drove an explosives-laden car into a joint US-Iraqi puppet army column on the bridge leading to al-Yusufiyah west of al-Latifiyah, some 25km south of Baghdad at 11:30am local time Friday morning.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in al-Latifiyah reported witnesses as saying that a Resistance fighter in a car burst into the joint column made up of five US Humvees and three personnel carriers belonging to the Iraqi puppet army at the approach to the bridge on the road leading to the city of al-Yusufiyah.

The car blew up, destroying one Humvee and setting one Iraqi puppet army troop carier on fire. Three American soldiers were killed and two other US troops wounded. Two Iraqi puppet army soldiers were killed and two more of them injured in the blast.

Diyala Province.

Ba‘qubah.

Roadside bomb blasts US patrol near Ba ‘qubah Friday morning.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US column on the old road leading to Shahraban, north of Ba‘qubah (which is northeast of Baghdad) at 10am local time Friday morning.

Witnesses told the Ba‘qubah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam that a bomb that was planted by the side of the road blew up as a column of several US Humvees was passing. The blast set one of the vehicles on fire, killing or wounding the crew of four American troops aboard.

Ninwa Province.

Mosul.

Resistance attacks on US, Iraqi puppet army posts Thursday-Friday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 10:10am Mecca time Friday morning, the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in Mosul reported that Iraqi Resistance forces carried out several attacks in the previous 24 hours against US and Iraqi puppet army targets in the city.

Iraqi Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons, including RPG7 rocket-propelled grenades, attacked a checkpoint jointly manned by US and Iraqi puppet army forces at the al-Wahdah neighborhood crossing, setting fire to parts of it and inflicting heavy damage. One American soldier was killed and another wounded. Two Iraqi puppet army soldiers were killed and three others wounded in the attack, according to residents of al-Wahdah who witnessed the attack.

Witnesses in the al-Baladiyat neighborhood of Mosul told the local Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent that Iraqi Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons including PKS machine guns ambushed a joint US-Iraqi puppet army patrol on the main road in al-Baladiyat. One Land Cruiser belonging to the Iraqi puppet army was set on fire and two Iraqi puppet army soldiers killed and two others wounded. Three US troops were also wounded in the ambush.

Iraqi Resistance forces fired four 82mm mortar rounds into the headquarters of the puppet “Wolf Brigade” force sending plumes of smoke rising over the facility..
