Al-Anbar Province.
Rawah.
Resistance mounts repeated attacks on US troops in Rawah as fighting continues despite 37-day blockade on the city.
In a dispatch posted at 7:35pm Mecca time Sunday evening, the correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam in Rawah in western Iraq reported that there had been several Iraqi Resistance attacks on US and Iraqi puppet army targets in the city in the previous 24 hour period. The Resistance continues to mount attacks in the city, despite the fact that Rawah has been surrounded and blockaded by US forces for some 37 days.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam in Rawah reported that about eight Iraqi Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons, including RPG7 rocket-propelled grenades and PKS machine guns, attacked a joint US-Iraqi puppet army camp at the western entrance to Rawah at midnight Saturday-Sunday. The attack set parts of the camp on fire, causing considerable destruction. The night-time curfew prevented the correspondent from ascertaining the extent or nature of casualties that resulted from that engagement.
Witnesses reported that the Resistance also bombarded the joint US-Iraqi puppet army camp located at the southern end of the city with five 82mm mortar rounds at 7am Sunday morning local time. The barrage set fires blazing and sent plumes of smoke rising into the sky over the camp. One American military vehicle was seen on fire.
In a third attack, an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed a US soldier at 2pm local time Sunday afternoon in the southern part of town that lies along the banks of the Euphrates River. The American soldier had been a part of a foot patrol in the area. Witnesses told the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent that an Iraqi sharpshooter fired a shot that hit the US soldier in the face, killing him instantly.
Ar-Ramadi.
Resistance bombards US headquarters in ar-Ramadi during meeting of high-ranking US commander with puppet governor.
In a dispatch posted at 12:28pm Mecca time Sunday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while before Iraqi Resistance forces had bombarded the headquarters of US forces set up in the provincial government building in ar-Ramadi.
A shop owner whose place of business is located on the main street opposite the government building told the ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam that four mortar rounds blasted inside the building at the time when a large number of US troops were present in the facility.
Witnesses said that a high-ranking American commander in al-Anbar province was holding a meeting in the building with the provincial puppet governor Ma’mun al-‘Alwani, and a large contingent of American troops accompanied the commander as escorts and guards and all were in the building at the time of the Resistance attack.
Witnesses reported that the barrage inflicted very heavy damage on the building starting fires and sending smoke billowing up over it. The blasts killed or wounded seven American soldiers, including two US snipers who had been posted atop the roof.
Al-Hadithah.
Six US troops reported killed in car bomb near al-Hadithah Sunday morning.
An Iraqi Reistance car bomber blasted into a group of US occupation troops and several Humvees on the main road near the al-Haqlaniyah bridge east of al-Hadithah at 9am local time on Sunday morning.
The al-Hadithah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-Haqlaniyah as saying that an Iraqi Resistance martyrdom fighter drove an explosives-laden car into a gathering of US troops near the bridge. The Americans saw his car approaching and opened fire on it, but he was able to reach the US troops and blow himself up among them.
The witnesses told Mafkarat al-Islam that the blast destroyed two Humvees and disabled a third, killing six American troops and wounding five other US soldiers.
Ar-Rutbah.
Resistance bombards joint US-Iraqi puppet army headquarters near Jordan border.
In a dispatch posted at 11:33am Sunday morning, Mecca time, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters fired four mortar rounds into the joint US-Iraqi puppet army base near the Taribil crossing on the Iraq-Jordan border not far from ar-Rutbah in western Iraq on Sunday.
A source in the Iraqi puppet army told the ar-Rutbah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam that three of the mortar rounds blasted directly into the joint headquarters, setting one of the buildings on fire and inflicting considerable material damage. Two US troops were killed and a third wounded in the bombardment, the source said, adding that one Iraqi puppet soldier was also killed.
Baghdad.
Four US troops reported killed in ambush on fuel convoy on Airport road early Sunday.
In a dispatch posted at 9:47am Mecca time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked a US military fuel convoy on the road to Saddam International Airport in Baghdad near the ar-Ridwaniyah area, southweset of the capital.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of the Suraysar area to the west of ar-Ridwaniyah as saying that a number of Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons attacked an American truck convoy on the road to Saddam International Airport ミ a facility that the Americans have turned into one of their biggest bases.
The witnesses reported that the Resistance fighters set three military trucks on fire, killing four American soldiers and wounding three more US troops.
Early morning roadside bomb targets US column in al-Ishaqi.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of al-Ishaqi as saying that a bomb that was planted by the side of the main road in the town blew up as a column of three US armored vehicles and two Humvees was passing by. The blast set one of the American armored vehicles on fire, killing one US soldier and wounding four other American troops.
The US-installed regime in Baghdad officially declared on Sunday that it holds 281 prisoners from other Arab and non-Arab countries on charges of taking part in Iraqi Resistance activities.
Official in Iraqi puppet regime says 281 non-Iraqi prisoners are being held for Resistance activities.
The Kuwaiti News Agency (KUNA) reported a spokesman for the puppet regime in Baghdad as telling a press conference that the number of non-Iraqi Arab and foreign prisoners in Iraqi prisons is now 281, among them 80 Egyptians, 64 Syrians, 41 Sudanese, 22 Saudis, 17 Jordanians, 10 Palestinians, 7 Libyans, and 6 Tunisians. In addition, there are four Turkish prisoners, 12 from Iran, and one Briton being held by the Iraqi regime, Layth Kubbah, the regime spokesman, announced.
Although exact figures have not been issued, estimates of the total number of Iraqi and other prisoners held by the US and the puppet regime have been in the range of 12,000 persons.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded on the highway east of Baghdad at 7:15pm local time Saturday evening.
A source in the Iraqi puppet “rapid deployment force” told the Baghdad correspondent of Mafkarat al-Islam that a bomb that had been planted by the side of al-Qanat Road blew up as a joint US-Iraqi puppet army patrol was passing by. The blast set one Humvee on fire, killing one US soldier and wounding two more, the source said.

Resistance bomb blasts US column in Khan Bani Sa‘d Sunday evening.
An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in the Khan Bani Sa‘d area northeast of Baghdad at 7pm local time Sunday night.
Witnesses told the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in Ba‘qubah that a bomb that was planted by the sidewalk on the road leading to the eastern exit from the city blew up as a US patrol was passing by. The blast disabled one US Humvee, killing an American soldier and wounding two other US troops.
Al-Khalis.
Saturday afternoon Resistance bomb targets US column.
An Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by a US military column on the highway in the al-Khalis area, about 55km north of Baghdad at 6pm Saturday afternoon.
The Diyala correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-Khalis as saying that an explosives-packed car that was parked by the side of the highway blew up as a column of three US armored vehicles, a personnel carrier, and two Humvees passed by.
The witnesses reported that the explosion set one Humvee on fire and disabled an armored vehicle. Six American troops were killed or wounded in the attack, the witnesses said.

Resistance ambushes truck convoy serving US occupation troops Sunday evening.
In a dispatch posted at 8:10pm Mecca time Sunday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters in the northern Iraqi city of ash-Sharqat attacked a column of trucks loaded with concrete barricades used by the US occupation forces to protect their military camps and checkpoints in Iraqi cities.
The Mosul correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported witnesses as saying that Resistance fighters armed with light weapons and RPG7 rocket-propelled grenades attacked the convoy of trucks in the ash-Sharqat area, south of Mosul, as it passed along the road linking Mosul with Bayji.
Two of the trucks were set ablaze and three drivers working for the US occupation forces were killed in the attack.
Bayji.
Resistance ambushes US column; five US troops reported killed.
Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked a column of US forces on the main road leading to the US base near the as-Siniyah area west of Bayji in northern Iraq at 1pm local time Sunday.
The local Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of the as-Siniyah area as saying that the Resistance attack began when a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road leading to the US base in as-Siniyah blew up by a passing column of three US armored personnel carriers and three Humvees.
The correspondent reported that the blast disabled one of the armored vehicles and killed one US soldier and wounded three more American troops. The column then came to a halt.
At that moment Resistance fighters armed with light weapons, pipe rockets, and mortars attacked the US column, in an assault that lasted for about 10 minutes. Another personnel carrier was destroyed and Humvee set on fire during the attack and four more US troops were killed and five more wounded, the witnesses reported. They said that one Resistance fighter was killed in the ambush and three of his comrades wounded.

Al-Iskandariyah.
Foreign mercenary contractor killed in Resistance ambush in al-Iskandariyah.
In a dispatch posted at 5:55pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters had attacked a column of armor-plated four-wheel drive vehicles of the type used by foreign mercenary contractors working with the US forces in the az-Zubaydat area, south of al-Iskandariyah (which lies to the south of Baghdad).
The al-Iskandariyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the local traffic police who was on the scene at the time of the blast said that about five Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons, including PKS machine guns, attacked a column of six four-wheel drive vehicles being driven by contractor mercenary troops. The vehicles were heavily damaged, the traffic warden said, and one of the foreigners was killed and three more of them wounded.
Al-Latifiyah.
Four US troops reported killed in double bombing in al-Latifiyah Sunday afternoon.
Two Iraqi Resistance bombs exploded in the path of a joint US-Iraqi puppet army patrol in the market are in the middle of al-Latifiyah, 25km south of Baghdad.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the city reported witnesses as saying that the first bomb went off as a joint US-Iraqi puppet army patrol was proceeding along the main street in the market area. The blast destroyed one Humvee and killed two US troops and wounded two more.
The blast, which occurred at 4pm local time Sunday afternoon, brought the patrol to a halt. US and Iraqi puppet forces surrounded the area as other American troops worked to recover the bodies of the dead and wounded and prepare to haul away the wrecked vehicle.
At that point a second bomb, which had been hidden under a rubbish pile by the side of the road, exploded and killed two more American troops and one Iraqi puppet soldier who were engaged in securing the area.
Al-Yusufiyah.
Saturday evening bomb blasts US column.
An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded on the highway leading to southern provinces in the city of al-Yusufiyah, south of Baghdad at 7pm Saturday evening.
Witnesses told the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in al-Yusufiyah that a bomb that was planted by the side of the highway blew up as a column of six US armored vehicles and two Humvees passed by.
Witnesses said that the blast completely destroyed one of the Humvees and killed or wounded the members of its five-man crew.
Maysan Province.
Al-‘Amarah.
Resistance bombards Japanese base Sunday evening.
In a bulletin posted at 7:33pm Mecca time Sunday evening, the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the southern Iraqi city of al-‘Amarah reported that a short while before, the Iraqi Resistance had fired three mortar rounds into the Japanese occupation forces camp in that city.
The correspondent reported that plumes of dense black smoke could be seen rising over the western parts of the Japanese base in the area where the Japanese-Iraqi liaison committee headquarters is located.
The correspondent reported that more than seven Iraqi puppet army vehicles raced to the Japanese camp after the attack.
