Combat breaks out in al-Qa'im Saturday night as US troops try to
storm into city.

Four Iraqis killed when US bombs primary school, house in al-Qa'im
Saturday afternoon.

・Seven US troops reported killed in attack by Resistance fighter
wearing explosive belt in al-Fallujah.

・US forces seal off al-Habbaniyah after three attacks on American
occupation forces Saturday morning.

Four US troops reported killed in morning bombing in al-Khalis,
north of Baghdad.

Al-Anbar Province.
Al-Qa'im.

Combat breaks out in al-Qa'im Saturday night as US troops try to storm
into city.

In a dispatch posted at 8:05pm Mecca time Saturday evening, the
al-Qa'im correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that at the time
of writing a violent battle was under way between Iraqi Resistance
fighters and US occupation troops on the eastern outskirts of the
city, which is near the Iraq-Syria border.

The correspondent, in the heart of al-Qa'im, reported that the clashes
erupted after US forces tried to storm into the city with a large
number of military vehicles.� More than 50 Iraqi Resistance fighters
were taking fighting in defense of al-Qa'im, repulsing the American
effort to break in.

The correspondent reported that the Resistance fighters were firing
rocket launchers, mortars and light and medium weapons.� A large
number of mortar rounds can be seen raining down on positions where US
troops are located.

The correspondent was unable to ascertain, however, the extent of US
or Resistance losses.

Four Iraqis killed when US bombs primary school, house in al-Qa'im
Saturday afternoon.

In a dispatch posted at 4:20pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon, the
Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in al-Qa'im on the border with Syria
reported that a short time earlier a US F-16 fighter plane had bombed
a primary school and a residential home in the middle of the city.

The correspondent reported medical sources in al-Qa'im Hospital as
saying that the attack, by preliminary count had left four people dead
and five others injured.

A dispatch posted by Quds Press� reported a source in the al-Qa'im
Hospital who asked not to be identified as saying that US aircraft
attacked a primary school and a neighboring house in al-Qa'im after
noon on Saturday, killing at least two Iraqis by first count.

Al-Fallujah.

Seven US troops reported killed in attack by Resistance fighter
wearing explosive belt.

In a dispatch posted at 5:30pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat
al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance martyrdom fighter wearing
an explosive belt blew himself up near a group of US troops in the
south of al-Fallujah.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported eyewitnesses in the area
as saying that a man wearing an explosive belt attacked a group of US
soldiers near the al-Fallujah Dam.� He blew himself up when he got
near the gathering of American troops, killing at least seven US
soldiers and wounding others.

A source in the Iraqi puppet army told the correspondent that the
Resistance fighter pretended that his car had stalled on the bridge
and asked the US troops for help pushing it.� The source said that by
first calling the Americans over and then blowing them up, the US
Marines and the Iraqi puppet army would no longer do anything nice for
the people of al-Fallujah because they could not be trusted in their
dealings with the occupation forces and their allies.

The correspondent observed US forces surrounding the area having
completely shut the bridge, which was closed to all traffic after the
attack.� The correspondent said that bodies were completely charred by
the explosion.

Al-Habbaniyah.

US forces seal off al-Habbaniyah after three attacks on American
occupation forces Saturday morning.

US occupation forces in al-Habbaniyah, about 20km west of al-Fallujah
received three blows from the Iraqi Resistance forces on Saturday morning.

According to a source in the Iraqi puppet army who asked not to be
identified, an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol to the
east of al-Habbaniyah at the al-Halabisah crossing, killing three
American soldiers and wounding two more.� The US military admitted
this attack and the casualty figures in a local radio broadcast on its
propaganda station beamed at the local population.

In another attack, an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed two US
soldiers on as-Sakkal Street in the middle of al-Habbaniyah.� US
troops identified the position from where the Resistance fighter had
fired the shots and fired back at it intensively, killing the
Resistance sharpshooter instantly.

At 10am local time Saturday morning, the Iraqi Resistance fired four
powerful Tariq rockets into the US base known as al-Hadbah ("the
Heights") north of the city, according to a source from the Iraqi
Resistance.� The barrage destroyed three fuel storage tanks, according
to a source in the Iraqi puppet army, each tank holding 68 liters of
fuel for Humvees and tanks.� The same source said that seven US troops
were killed or wounded when the fuel exploded, not from rocket shrapnel.

For their part, US occupation forces then completely sealed off the
city from the outside world and launched a campaign of raids and
arrests that was still under way when the Mafkarat al-Islam
correspondent filed his report, posted at 11:15am Mecca time Saturday
morning.� At the time of writing no one had been arrested.

Abu Ghurayb.

Four US troops reported killed in early morning Resistance bombing.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column in Abu
Ghurayb, some 30km west of Baghdad, at 7am local time Saturday morning.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the area reported witnesses as
saying that a bomb that had been planted by the highway linking
Baghdad with al-Anbar Province blew up as a US column passed by,
destroying a Humvee and killing four American soldiers and wounding a
fifth.

US troops then closed the road for an hour and a half, causing a
massive traffic jam.� American troops were observed evacuating the
bodies of the dead from the scene of the attack.

Baghdad.

Three US troops reported killed in roadside bombing in al-Ghazaliyah
midday Saturday.

An Iraqi Resistance roadside bomb exploded by a patrol of four US
Humvees in the al-Ghazaliyah area of Baghdad at noon on Saturday.� A
source in the Iraqi puppet army told Mafkarat al-Islam that the blast
occurred as the American patrol was headed towards Abu Ghurayb, some
30km west of Baghdad.� Three US troops were killed in the explosion
and a fourth was wounded.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam, who headed for the
scene of the blast just shortly after it occurred, reported that one
US vehicle was engulfed in flames as American soldiers who survived
the bomb attack struggled to extinguish the flames and pull their dead
comrades out of the Humvee.

As has recently become customary, US forces acknowledged that the
attack took place but gave no details regarding the nature or extent
of casualties, saying only that an "insurgent" bomb exploded by a
patrol causing casualties.

Desertion rate in July reported higher than in previous year.

Informed sources in the US-installed Iraqi "government" disclosed to
Mafkarat al-Islam that the percentage of desertions from the puppet
army in July 2005 was higher than the rate for the entire previous year.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported the source ﾐ
a brigadier general in the "Internior Ministry" ﾐ said that more than
800 Iraqi puppet soldiers fled or deserted� while on duty in July,
among them 70 officers.

Asked about what he believed was the reason for the increasing rate of
desertion, the source said that an investigative committee had been
set up to investigate why puppet army soldiers failed to go out on
nighttime operations against the Resistance and it was found that the
reason was the relentless Resistance attacks that they experienced
daily and frequently more than once a day.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the puppet army
had stopped providing soldiers with passes and leaves for fear that
they would not return to their units after the end of their leaves.

US military attach in Damascus shot at when visiting Iraqi border.

The American military attach in the US embassy in Damascus, Colonel
David Gasmer was shot at during a visit to the Syrian-Iraqi border.
American "Radio Sawa," as monitored by Mafkarat al-Islam, reported on
Saturday morning, in an incident so far not commented upon by the US
embassy in Damascus, that western diplomatic sources had said that
Colonel Gasmer who pays regular monthly visits to inspect the border
from the Syrian side, that during his latest trip he was shot at from
inside Iraqi territory.

The American military attach was not hurt in the incident.� The
sources said that the American official immediately cut short his tour
and returned to Damascus.

Washington and the US-installed puppet regime in Baghdad regularly
accuse Syria of not doing enough to prevent Arab volunteers from
crossing into Iraq to join the struggle against the US invader forces
there.� Damascus denies the allegations.

Diyala Province.
Al-Khalis.

Four US troops reported killed in morning bombing.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol on the main road in
the area of al-Khalis, north of Baghdad at 8am local time Saturday
morning.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported a source in the local
city puppet police that a bomb that had been planted by the side of
the main road blew up as the US patrol passed by, destroying one
Humvee and killing four US troops.� After the attack, American forces
were seen transporting the bodies away from the scene.

Salah ad-Din Province.
Samarra'.

Resistance bombards two US headquarters in Samarra' Friday night.

Iraqi Resistance forces mounted a fierce rocket attack on two US
military headquarters in the city of Samarra' at 9pm local time Friday
evening.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eye witnesses as
saying that nine Katyusha rockets blasted in to the US military
headquarters located by the Samarra' Bridge, apparently inflicting
great damage.

In addition, eight other Resistance Katyusha rockets slammed into the
US headquarters known as al-Buhayrah.

Witnesses said that fires broke out in the American-occupied
buildings.� Flames and smoke rose within the base and fighter planes
could be seen prowling the skies overhead.

Although the US made no announcements regarding casualties, witnesses
stated that they were substantial.

At-Ta'mim Province.
Kirkuk.

Resistance barrage pounds US base in Kirkuk International Airport.

In a dispatch posted at 4:30pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat
al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had fired 17 rockets
and mortar rounds into the US base set up in Kirkuk International
Airport in northern Iraq.

A source in the Iraqi puppet police told the Mafkarat al-Islam
correspondent in the vicinity of the airport that the rockets and
shells blasted into various parts of the base, which was then
enveloped in smoke and fire.� A building used by the US forces inside
the airport was destroyed. A number of US military vehicles were
severely damaged.� The source also said that a number of US troops
were killed or wounded in the barrage, but he did not have information
on the exact number because they were evacuated by helicopter quickly
after the attack.

The Iraqi Resistance group called the Squadrons of Islamic Rage issued
a communiqu taking responsibility for the attack in a communiqu, a
copy of which was obtained by the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent.
The document said that the rockets and shells fired by the group hit
their targets inside the US-occupied camp.

Ninwa Province.
Tall `Afar.

Nine US troops reported killed in Friday night fighting.

Iraqi sources close to the Resistance told Quds Press in the northern
city of Tall `Afar that nine US soldiers were killed in fighting that
raged in the city on Friday, 2 September.

The sources said that the bodies of the nine American soldiers were
seen on a military vehicle being hauled away following the fighting
that lasted more than one full hour during the night when US forces
tried to break into Tall `Afar.

The sources told Quds Presss that four US military vehicles were
completely burned up and one vehicle belonging to the Iraqi puppet
army that was helping the Americans was disabled.

More than 5,000 US troops and Iraqi puppet army soldiers tried to
storm Tall `Afar Friday night, but the fighting prevented their
getting in.� Reports from the city said that about 30 Iraqis were
killed in the fighting, Quds Press reported Saturday.
