Al-Anbar Province.

Al-Fallujah.

Resistance bomb blasts US patrol in as-Saqlawiyah Sunday afternoon.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol near as-Saqlawiyah, north of al-Fallujah at about 4pm local time Sunday afternoon.

Residents of as-Saqlawiyah who witnessed the attack told the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in al-Fallujah that the bomb, which was planted by the side of the International Highway north of al-Fallujah, blew up as a patrol of several US Humvees passed by. The blast destroyed one Humvee, killing or wounding the members of the four-man crew.

Ar-Ramadi.

Resistance bomb blasts US Humvee west of ar-Ramadi Sunday afternoon.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in thee al-Bu Faraj area northwest of ar-Ramadi, 110km west of Baghdad at 3pm local time Sunday afternoon.

The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents in al-Bu Faraj village who witnessed the attack as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the main road leading to the US al-Warrar base west of ar-Ramadi blew up as a patrol of several US Humvees passed by.

The witnesses reported that the blast destroyed one Humvee, killing or wounding all four men aboard.

Al-Hadithah.

Six US troops reported killed in Resistance ambush on US patrol in al-Haqlaniyah early Sunday afternoon.

Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked a US column on the main road in al-Haqlaniyah village, south of al-Hadithah in western Iraq at 2pm local time Sunday afternoon.

Residents of al-Haqlaniyah village told the al-Hadithah correspondent of Mafkarat al-Islam that about 12 Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons, including RPG7 rocket-propelled grenades and C5K pipe rockets, attacked a column of five American armored vehicles and four Humvees on the main road in the village.

The witnesses reported that the attack lasted for about 10 minutes, during which time the Resistance fighters destroyed one American armored vehicle, disabled a second armored vehicle, and set fire to a Humvee. Six US troops were killed and seven other Ameican soldiers wounded. The witnesses said that two of the Resistance fighters were killed in the battle and a third wounded.

Fierce fighting rages after US troops try to seize school house in Barwanah.

In a dispatch posted at 11am Mecca time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that at that moment fierce fighting was under way between Iraqi Resistance forces and US troops backed by helicopters and fighter airplanes in the city of Barwanah, northeast of al-Hadithah in western Iraq.

The al-Hadithah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the battle erupted when US forces stormed into western parts of the city of Barwanah in an attempt to commandeer a primary school for use as a headquarters, in view of the important geographical spot it occupies in the town.

The fighting, in which Resistance forces are using machine guns and anti-tank weapons against American armor, spread to the middle of town. Other Iraqi Resistance units were firing medium-caliber mortar rounds into American troop concentrations around the school that, at the time of writing, they had still not been able to occupy.

Witnesses reported seeing numerous American military vehicles on fire in the middle of Barwanah Street, which leads to the school.

Later in the day the Saudi Press Agency (WAS) reported that the American military had issued a statement in which they claimed to have killed 11 Iraqi Resistance fighters Sunday morning when US Marine forces backed by tanks and under air cover, mounted an attack on a school that they claimed was the source of a mortar attack on the Americans.

Baghdad.

Resistance attacks US vehicles on Abu Ghurayb bridge Sunday morning.

Iraqi Resistance forces on Sunday morning mounted an attack on a number of US military vehicles that were parked on the Abu Ghurayb bridge which has been closed for two days.

Resistance forces fired machineguns, RPG7 rocket-propelled grenades, and C5K shoulder-launched pipe rockets at a US tank and two Humvees that were parked at the entrance to the bridge at 9am Sunday morning. The attack left the tank disabled and the two Humvees destroyed. Six American troops were killed and others were wounded.

The Abu Ghurayb correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that two Resistance fighters were also killed in the attack and three Resistance fighters wounded. The wounded men were taken away by the rest of the Resistance detachment when it withdrew from the area.

After the attack, US forces surrounded the entire area, laying down a security permimeter and closing more roads in Abu Ghurayb, 30km west of Baghdad. There were no reports of any of the Resistance attackers being captured, however.

Meanwhile, a source in the Abu Ghurayb puppet municipal government reported that US forces removed six dead Marines and five more wounded Marines from the scene of the ambush. Two of the injured Americans were reported to be in critical condition.

Resistance martyrdom car bomb blasts checkpoint near collaborator congress while second bomb strikes US patrol in central Baghdad.

An Iraqi Resistance martyrdom fighter drove an explosives-laden car near a puppet check point adjacent to the National Theater in Baghdad’s al-Karradah ar-Raqi neighborhood where an enlarged congress of organizations of “civil society” was being held to discuss the US-sponsored “draft constitution.” A number of high-ranking officials in the Iraqi puppet regime were attending the civil society congress, Quds Press reported.

Five Iraqi puppet security officers were killed and another 20 wounded in the attack. Afterwards, US and Iraqi puppet forces surrounded the scene of the bombing, preventing hournalists from approaching.

Nearby, an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol but no information was available due to the security cordon laid down around the entire area, Quds Press reported.

Resistance bombards joint US-Iraqi puppet headquarters in ar-Ridwaniyah Sunday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 10:25am Mecca time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces mounted a rocket bombardment on the joint US-Iraqi puppet force headquarters in the ar-Ridwaniyah Palace southwest of the occupied Iraqi capital.

Witnesses told the ar-Ridwaniyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam that five medium-range Katyusha rockets blasted into the joint headquarters set up in the occupied presidential palace on Sunday. The barrage set fires blazing and sent plumes of smoke rising into the sky from inside the palace.

Witnesses reported that US Medevac helicopters could be seen landing on the palace grounds after the bombardment, presumably to evacuate dead and wounded. No further information on the nature and extent of casualties was available, however, because the area is closed to local people and journalists.

Sunday night Resistance bomb in al-‘Amiriyah leaves three puppet troops dead.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a joint US-Iraqi puppet so-called “shock police” patrol in the al-‘Amiriyah area west of Baghdad at 9pm Saturday night.

Residents of al-‘Amiriyah told the correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam that a bomb planted by the side of al-Munazzamh Road in the middle of al-‘Amiriyah exploded as the joint patrol passed by. The blast set one of the vehicles belonging to the Iraqi puppet forces on fire, killing three Iraqi puppet troops and wounding four more.

US forces backed by Iraqi puppet troops surrounded the area Saturday night and mounted searches and raids looking for the Resistance attackers. They arrested about 25 local residents, claiming that they were involved in the ambush.

US admits five American troops killed in two attacks south of Baghdad Saturday.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a passing US patrol in the southwest of Baghdad on Saturday. The Saudi Press Agency (WAS) reported a spokesman for US occupation forces in Iraq, Sergeant David Abrams, as announcing that four American troops were killed in that attack.

Abrams also said that one American soldier was killed and two more wounded when an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by their convoy in the area of the southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah on Saturday

Puppet official abducted Saturday.

Iraqi Resistance forces abducted an official of the puppet so-called “Iraqi ministry of health in western Baghdad on Saturday, the puppet police reported.

China’s Xinhua News Agency quoted a source in the puppet Iraqi so-called “interior ministry” as saying that “unknown armed men abducted Iman Naji ‘Abd ar-Razzaq, the director general of the projects department in the puppet health ministry in Baghdad’s al-Mansur district.” The source added that she was taken at about 12:30pm Saturday local time.

Earlier on Saturday, the bodies of three employees of Saddam International Airport, where the US has one of its largest bases in occupied Iraq, were found blindfolded and executed in southwestern Baghdad.

Assailant who attacked President Saddam Hussein member of Badr Brigades.

International media reported on Saturday that the Saddam Hussein legal defense team had announced that an unknown person had attacked Iraqi President Saddam Hussein as he was leaving a courtroom in occupied Baghdad on Thursday.

Mafkarat al-Islam learned from a source inside the US occupation headquarters in the Republican Palace ﾐ known to the invaders as the “green zone” ﾐ that the man who attacked the Iraqi President was a follower of ‘Abd al-‘Aziz al-Hakim and a member of the Badr Brigade militia which invaded Iraq together with US forces in the spring of 2003.

The Badr Brigade thug attacked President Saddam Hussein in the makeshift “courtroom” that the invaders have created at Saddam International Airport which they have turned into one of their bases. A part of the airport area is used as a prison housing high-ranking Iraqi captives.

The source told Mafkarat al-Islam that the Badr Brigade thug struck Saddam Hussein several times in the head, face, and chest and that the Iraqi President also exchanged blows with the assailant.

The source said that the guards assigned to protect Saddam Hussein from such attacks did nothing at all while the assault was underway, nor did the presiding “judge” at the proceedings Ra’id al-Juhi who simply sat and watched as the Badr Brigade thug attacked.

Saddam Hussein, however, struck back at the attacker and said some words that he could not make out.

The source, who asked not to be identified, said that the assailant, after carrying out his assault, simply left the building in an ordinary way without any of the guards in the hall trying to stop him.

The Saddam Hussein Defense Committee had announced in Amman on Saturday that an unknown person had attacked the Iraqi President on Thursday when he was leaving the room where the “hearing” had been held.

The committee said, “when the President set out to leave the hall, one of the people who were attending the session ﾐ for what reason is unknown ﾐ rose and attacked the President. A fistfight took place between him and the President.”

The committee statement did not identify the assailant nor did it say whether the Iraqi President was injured in the attack. The committee statement went on to say, “the chairman of the court session did not intervene in response to the attack on the President. Attorney Khalil ad-Dulyami protested to the court and demanded that the American officer who was standing guard to intervene but that officer declined to do so.”

The Iraqi President is currently a prisoner of the American occupation forces and a mock “trial” is being prepared in an attempt to rig up some sort of shaky legal justification for the US invasion and the imposition of a puppet regime in the country.

Salah ad-Din Province.

Tikrit.

Resistance bombards US headquarters in Tikrit midday Sunday.

Iraqi Resistance forces unleashed a violent bombardment of the presidential palaces in Tikrit at 1pm local time Sunday. The palaces have been seized by US invader forces and are currently being used as American headquarters.

Residents of al-‘Awjah district told the Tikrit correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam that five medium-range Grad rockets blasted into the palaces, setting off violent explosions and sending smoke billowing into the sky.

At-Tarimiyah.

Resistance bomb blasts fuel convoy north of Baghdad late Sunday morning.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a convoy of trucks hauling fuel to the US occupation forces on the main road in at-Tarimiyah area, north of Baghdad at 11am local time Sunday morning.

Witnesses told the Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam that a bomb that was planted by the side of the highway from Baghdad to the northern provinces blew up as the fuel convoy passed by. The explosion set one of the fuel truck on fire, wounding two drivers who were working as collaborators with the American forces.

Babil Province.

Al-Latifiyah.

Resistance attacks Ahmad Chelebi motorcade, killing, wounding guards.

Iraqi Resistance forces attacked the motorcade in which US CIA stooge, convicted embezzler, and puppet so-called “Iraqi deputy prime minister” Ahmad Chelebi was riding in al-Latifiyah, south of Baghdad, on Sunday.

A source told Agence France Presse (AFP), as monitored by Mafkarat al-Islam, that Resistance fighters “opened fire on the motorcade in al-Latifiyah,” an area 25km south of Baghdad. The source, who would not confirm whether Chelbi was actually in the motorcade, said that one of Chelebi’s bodyguards was killed and three other guards were wounded in the attack. The guards were later taken to al-Yarmuk Hospital in Baghdad.

Five US troops reported killed in double bombing near al-Latifiyah Sunday morning.

Two Iraqi Resistance bombs exploded in the path of a US armored column on a farm road leading tot eh city of as-Suwayrah in Wasit Province, southeast of Baghdad at 9am local time Sunday morning.

Residents of al-Latifiyah told the correspondent of Mafkarat al-Islam that two bombs that were planted by the side of the road that leads to as-Suwayrah blew up by the American colum. The first went off as the column of four armored vehicles and two Humvees passed by, destroying one of the armored vehicles and killing two US troops and wounding another three of them.

The second bomb exploded by a number of US troops who had got out of their vehicles after the first blast and were combing the area and closing the roads to seal off the first blast site. That second explosion killed three more American soldiers.

Al-Haswah.

Resistance attack targets puppet police checkpoint Sunday.

An Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by an Iraqi puppet police checkpoint in the town of al-Haswah, about 50km south of Baghdad on Sunday morning.

A source in the puppet police told Quds Press that the Resistance used a remote-control device to detonate an explosives-packed car was parked by the side of the road near a puppet police checkpoint. Five puppet policemen were killed and 10 others wounded in the attack. A puppet police vehicle was also destroyed.

Afterwards, US forces cut the roads leading to Baghdad and surrounded the area where the attack took place.

Diyala Province.

Ba‘qubah.

Resistance bomb blasts US column in Ba‘qubah Sunday.

In a dispatch posted at 11:30am Mecca time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US column in Ba‘qubah, northeast of Baghdad.

Witnesses told the Ba‘qubah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam that a bomb that was planted by the side of al-Jabayish Road blew up when a US column was passing by. The explosion destroyed one Humvee, killing four US troops and seriously wounding a fifth.

A source in the Iraqi puppet military told Mafkarat al-Islam that the attack left only two Americans dead and three more wounded. The source said that he got those figures from US Marines.

After the bomb attack, US forces surrounded the whole area, closing the one road leading to the scene.

Ninwa Province.

Tall ‘Afar.

Resistance bombards US camp south of Tall ‘Afar midday Sunday.

Iraqi Resistance forces fired six 82mm mortar rounds into the US camp located south of Tall ‘Afar at noon on Sunday.

Residents of the Sa‘d neighborhood told the Tall ‘Afar correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam that the barrage destroyed a large part of the camp. The witnesses reported that they could see two US Humvees on fire after the attack.

At-Ta’mim Province.

Hawijah.

Resistance bomb blasts US Humvee near Hawijah Sunday afternoon.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in the city of Hawijah in northern Iraq at 4pm Sunday afternoon, local time.

Residents of Hawijah told the Kirkuk correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam that a bomb that was planted by the side of a road 5km from the western entrance to the city blew up as a US patrol was passing, setting one Humvee on fire and killing or wounding the four US troops who were aboard it.
