Al-Anbar Province.

Al-Hadithah.

Resistance mounts double attack on US column on east side of al-Hadithah at noon Wednesday.

The Iraqi Resistance bombs staged a two-pronged attack on a US column at the eastern approaches to the city of al-Hadithah, 250km west of Baghdad at noon Wednesday.

Witnesses told the al-Hadithah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US armored column at the eastern entrance to the city, disabling one American armored vehicle at 12 noon local time Wednesday.

Just minutes later, the witnesses recounted, Iraqi Resistance forces bombarded the area where the US column had halted after the blast with three medium-range Katyusha rockets, destroying two more American tanks and killing eight US troops and wounding five more.

After the two-pronged assault, US forces encircled the area where the blast occurred and helicopters were called in to haul away the wreckage of the vehicles and the bodies of the dead and wounded Americans.

Ar-Ramadi.

Resistance car bomb kills a reported five US troops early Wednesday.

An Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by a joint US-Iraqi puppet patrol in the at-Ta’mim area of southern ar-Ramadi at 9am local time Wednesday morning.

Residents of the apartments in the middle of at-Ta’mim who witnessed the bombing told Mafkarat al-Islam that an explosives-laden car was parked by the side of the main road in at-Ta’mim blew up when a joint patrol of four regular US Humvees, two US armored Humvees, and three pickups belonging to the Iraqi puppet forces passed by.

The blast disabled one of the US armored vehicles and set one of the Humvees ablaze, killing five American soldiers and wounding three more. One of the Iraqi puppet soldiers was also killed.

Baghdad.

Resistance martyrdom car bomber blasts US tank column near Abu Ghurayb late Wednesday afternoon.

An Iraqi Resistance martyrdom fighter drove an explosives-packed car into a US tank column in the adh-Dhahab al-Abyad area in the east of AbuGhurayb, about 30km west of Baghdad at 6:30pm Wednesday afternoon.

Residents of adh-Dhahab al-Abyad village told the Abu Ghurayb correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam that a Resistance martyrdom fighter drove a white Opel car into the middle of the US column as it proceeded along the highway linking Baghdadd with the western provinces.

The explosion went off by one of the American tanks, destroying it completely and killinf four US troops who were aboard it. Three more US soldiers were wounded.

Resistance bomb blasts US patrol in al-‘Amiriyah Wednesday afternoon.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded in al-‘Amiriyah in western Baghdad at 4pm local time Wednesday afternoon.

Residents of the al-‘Amiriyah neighborhood told the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in Baghdad that a Resistance bomb, which had been planted by the side of al-‘Amal ash-Sha‘bi Street, the main street in the al-‘Amiriyah neighborhood near Saddam International Airport, blew up by the passing American patrol. The blast destroyed one Humvee, killing four US troops and wounding a fifth.

Resistance ambush on US convoy leaves a reported three US troops dead early Wednesday afternoon.

Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked a US military truck convoy in al-Ishaqi, near Baghdad, on the road linking the occupied Iraqi capital with Samarra’ to the north.

Local residents told the al-Ishaqi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam that Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons, including RPG7 rocket-propelled grenades and BKC machine guns, attacked the American convoy, hauling provisions and equipment for US occupation forces, at 2pm local time Wednesday.

The Resistance fighters set two US trucks on fire, killing three American soldiers and wounding a fourth.

Resistance bomb blasts US column in at-Taji Wednesday morning.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military patrol in the area of at-Taji in the northern suburbs of Baghdad at 9am local time Wednesday morning.

Witnesses told the at-Taji correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam that a bomb planted near the Oil Institute on the side of the main road in the town blew up as a patrol of six US Humvees was passing by. The blast set one of the Humvees on fire, killing three US troops and wounding two more.

Resistance bomb leaves a reported three US troops dead early Wednesday afternoon.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded in the path of a US military patrol north of at-Tarimiyah at 2pm local time Wednesday afternoon.

Residents of at-Tarimiyah told Mafkarat al-Islam that a Resistance bomb, which was planted by the side of the main road leading to the city of Samarra’, blew up as a US patrol of two armored vehicles and four Humvees passed by. The blast set one of the Humvees on fire, killing three US troops and wounding two more.

Resistance bombards US base in at-Tarimiyah early Wednesday.

Iraqi Resistance forces mounted a mortar barrage on the US base in at-Tarimiyah at about 8am Wednesday morning local time.

Residents of at-Tarimiyah told Mafkarat al-Islam that they heard eight violent explosions shake the American base after which plumes of smoke filled the sky over the US-occupied facility.

Babil Province.

Al-Latifiyah.

Six US troops reported killed in afternoon Resistance ambush in al-Latifiyah.

Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked a joint US-Iraqi puppet force patrol in the al-Muhandisin area in the middle of al-Latifiyah, 25km south of Baghdad at 5pm local time Wednesday afternoon.

Witnesses told the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in al-Latifiyah that about 15 Iraqi Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons and pipe rockets attacked the joint US-Iraqi puppet patrol. In a firefight that lasted about 10 minutes, the Resistance fighters set one American armored vehicle, one US Humvee, and one Iraqi puppet troop transport vehicle on fire.

Six Americans were killed in the clash and four more of them wounded. Three Iraqi puppet soldiers also died and two more were wounded. Witnesses reported that three Iraqi Resistance fighters were also killed in the battle.

Al-Yusufiyah.

Resistance bomb blasts US column near al-Yusufiyah early Wednesday.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol on the highway that passes near the village of Sarsir, west of al-Yusufiyah (and south of Baghdad), at 9am local time Wednesday morning.

Residents of Sarsir village told Mafkarat al-Islam that a bomb planted by the side of the highway blew up as a patrol of five American Humvees passed by. The blast destroyed one of the vehicles, killing three US soldiers and wounding a fourth.

Ninwa Province.

Mosul.

Resistance bomb kills reported two US troops in Mosul Wednesday morning.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US armored column in the as-Sukkar area of the northern Iraqi city of Mosul at 10am local time Wednesday morning.

Residents of the as-Sukkar neighborhood told the Mosul correspondent of Mafkarat al-Islam that the bomb was planted by the side of the road leading to the center of the city. It blew up when a column of six American armored vehicles was passing, setting one of the armored vehicles on fire and killing two US troops and wounding four more.

Dhi Qar Province.

An-Nasiriyah.

Resistance marksman shoots, kills Italian occupation soldier on patrol midday Wednesday.

An Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed an Italian occupation soldier who was a part of a joint patrol in the Suq ash-Shaykh area of the southern Iraqi city of an-Nasiriyah at 1pm local time Wednesday.

Residents of the Suq ash-Shaykh area told the an-Nasiriyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam that an Iraqi Resistance sharpshooter shot and killed one of the Italian soldiers in a joint patrol with Iraqi puppet forces there. After the attack, Italian and Iraqi puppet troops surrounded the area and began raiding and searching houses nearby but failed to find the Resistance sharpshooter.

Al-Basrah Province.

Al-Basrah.

British soldier, four Iraqi puppet troops killed in bomb attack in al-Basrah early Wednesday.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a joint British-Iraqi puppet patrol in the al-‘Azir area to the north of al-Basrah at 8am local time Wednesday morning.

Residents of al-‘Azir told Mafkarat al-Islam that the bomb, which had been planted by the side of the main road linking the southern Iraqi provinces with Baghdad, blew up when the joint patrol made up of two British armored vehicles and four Iraqi puppet personnel carriers passed by.

The blast set one of the Iraqi puppet personnel carriers on fire and severely damaged one of the British armored vehicles, killing one British soldier and wounding a second. Four Iraqi puppet troops were killed and two more wounded in the attack.
