Al-Anbar Province.
Hit.
Resistance blasts US position as Americans continue blockade of city of Hit in so-called “Operation Sword.”
Iraqi Resistance forces fired four medium-range Katyusha rockets into a US military position in the western Iraqi city of Hit at 8am Wednesday morning local time.
Residents of al-Muhammadi village, east of Hit, told Mafkarat al-Islam that the Resistnace blasted one of the US positions in the area with four Katyusha rockets setting fire to the position and sending smoke rising into the sky.
US forces have been surrounding and blockading the city of Hit for two days in an operation they call “Operation Sword” aimed at pursuing Resistance fighters in the city.
Al-Khalidiyah.
Resistance martyrdom fighter blows up US-occupied house killing eight American soldiers Wednesday afternoon.
An Iraqi Resistance martyrdom fighter drove an explosives-packed BMW car into a US military camp near the as-Siddiqiyah Bridge east of al-Khalidiya (which is west of Baghdad) at 4pm local time Wednesday afternoon.
Witnesses told Mafkarat al-Islam that the Resistance fighter drove his car bomb into a house that US troops had commandeered near the bridge and were using as their local command post. The Americans had also posted snipers atop the roof of the house, which the Resistance car bomb blew up and totally destroyed. Eight US troops were killed in the bombing and another six American troops were wounded.
Al-Habbaniyah.
Resistance bombards US “as-Saqr” base in al-Habbaniyah Wednesday morning.
Iraqi Resistance forces fired a barrage of eight medium-range Grad rockets into the US “as-Saqr”base in al-Habbaniyah, west of Baghdad, at 11am local time Wednesday morning.
Residents of al-Fallahat village, which lies adjacent to the American-occupied base, told Mafkarat al-Islam that the eight violent explosions rocked the US base as a result of the Resistance rocket bombardment. After those initial blasts, secondary explosions could be heard going off inside the camp as smoke rose over the facility.
Ar-Ramadi.
Resistance bombards US al-Warrar camp Wednesday afternoon.
Iraqi Resistance forces fired eight mortar rounds into the US al-Warrar base west of ar-Ramadi at 3pm local time Wednesday afternoon.
Residents of the ad-Dubbat neighborhood in the west of ar-Ramadi told Mafkarat al-Islam that the Resistance bombardment set off eight violent explosions inside the American-occupied facility, sending plumes of smoke billowing into the sky.
Resistance bomb blasts US column north of ar-Ramadi Wednesday morning.
An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US armored column on the highway in the al-Jazirah area north of ar-Ramadi in western Iraq at 10am Wednesday morning, local time.
Residents of the village of al-Jazirah told Mafkarat al-Islam that a bomb that was planted by the side of the highway blew up as a column of eight US armored vehicles passed by. The blast destroyed one of the vehicles, killing four American troops and wounding two more.
Baghdad
Resistance bombards US headquarters in ad-Durah Wednesday morning.
Iraqi Resistance forces bombarded the US military headquarters in the ad-Durah suburb to the south of Baghdad at 9am local time Wednesday morning.
Residents of ad-Durah who witnessed the attack told Mafkarat al-Islam that the Resistance fired seven mortar rounds into the US-occupied facility, setting off violent explosions and sending plumes of smoke rising into the sky.
US forces then deployed heavily in the area, and it was impossible for the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent to obtain information on the extent or nature of US casualties.
Resistance bomb blasts US column south of Abu Ghurayb early Wednesday killing several US troops.
In a dispatch posted at 9:50am Mecca time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by a US armored column on the highway south of Abu Ghurayb Wednesday morning.
Residents of the village of as-Suwaydah south of Abu Ghurayb told Mafkarat al-Islam that an Iraqi Resistance explosives-packed car that was parked by the side of the highway exploded as a column of six US armored vehicles and two Humvees was passing by. The blast totally destroyed one US armored vehicle and damaged one Humvee. Five US troops were killed and three more wounded in the blast.
In a dispatch posted at 6:07am GMT (9:07am Mecca time), Quds Press reported that an Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded west of Baghdad, killing four US troops and wounding three more.
A local observer told Quds Press that an explosives-packed car that was parked by the side of the highway near Abu Ghurayb blew up as a column of four US armored vehicles and several Humvees was passing. The blast totally destroyed one of the American armored vehicles and disabled a second.
The observer said that four US troops could be seen lying dead on the pavement after the attack. American helicopters then took them to one of the US bases in the west of the country, Quds Press reported.
Resistance car bomb reportedly blasts Babil Hotel entrance Wednesday night.
In a dispatch posted at 9:35pm Mecca time Wednesday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Agence France Presse (AFP) had reported that an Iraqi Resistance martyrdom bomber had blown up a car bomb by the entrance to the Babil Hotel in occupied Baghdad ミ a residence for US officers and occupation profiteers ミ a short while earlier.
American forces raid home of nephew of head of Board of Muslim ‘Ulama’ arrest him and four sons Wednesday morning.
The Board of Muslim ‘Ulama’ Scholars, the highest Sunni religious authority in occupied Iraq, announced that US occupation forces had arrested the nephew of Shaykh Harith ad-Darri, the General Secretary of the Board of Muslim ‘Ulama’, and his four sons west of Baghdad on Wednesday morning.
Al-Jazeera satellite TV, as monitored by Mafkarat al-Islam, reported the Press Office of the Board of Muslim ‘Ulama’ as saying that a US force backed up by helicopters raided the home of Shaykh Zahir Khamis ad-Darri. After ransacking and wrecking the contents of their home, the Americans took the Shaykh along with his four sons ミ Harith, ‘Abd ar-Rahman, ‘Abd al-Latif, and ‘Ali ミ away by helicopter to an unknown destination.
Earlier in June, US forces accompanied by Iraqi puppet troops raided the home of the head of the Board of Muslim ‘Ulama’, Shaykh Harith ad-Darri as well.
American troops shoot and kill Iraqi TV propaganda producer as he veered towards them after avoiding an accident.
US occupation troops shot and killed an Iraqi television producer working for an Iraqi satellite TV station that serves the occupation in Baghdad on Wednesday.
A medical source in Baghdad’s al-Yarmuk Hospital told Quds Press that they had received the body of Ahmad Wa’il al-Bakri, an Iraqi producer working for ash-Sharqiyah satellite TV propaganda station. The body had multiple gunshot wounds from the type of weapon carried by US occupation troops in Iraq.
Witnesses told Quds Press that the US troops opened fire on al-Bakri’s car as he tried to get past them because he could not turn off the road due to the presence of a car wreck at the intersection at that instant. The Americans opened fire on the approaching car, killing al-Bakri instantly. US forces denied any knowledge of the incident but said they would open an investigation.

Six US troops reported killed as Resistance car bomber blasts tank column south of Tirkit Wednesday morning.
An Iraqi Resistance martyrdom fighter drove an explosives-laden car into a US tank column on the main road linking Tirkit with Baghdad in the ad-Dawr area southeast of Tikrit at 10am local time Wednesday morning.
Residents of the ad-Dawr district who witnessed the attack told Mafkarat al-Islam that the Resistance martyrdom fighter drove the car bomb the passing column of five American tanks and three Humvees. The explosion destroyed one American tank, killing its six-man crew.
In a dispatch posted at 11:38am GMT the Qatar News Agency (Qana) reported the US military as admitting the attack in Tikrit but claiming that only one American soldier was killed and two others wounded.
Al-Ishaqi.
Two-pronged attack leaves a reported six US soldiers dead south of Samarra’ early Wednesday afternoon.
Iraqi Resistance fighters ambushed a US column on the highway leading to Baghdad in the al-Ishaqi area, south of Samarra’, at 2pm local time Wednesday afternoon.
Witnesses told the local correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam that Resistance fighters armed with light weapons and pipe rockets attacked the American column, setting one US armored vehicle ablaze and killing three American soldiers and wounding five more. Two Iraqi Resistance fighters were also wounded in the engagement.
Then, as US forces were encircling the area where the attack took place and setting up barriers on the main road so that they could start stopping and checking cars passing through, the Iraqi Resistance blasted one of the American units with four 82mm mortar rounds, killing one more American soldier and wounding five more.
Babil Province.

Resistance bomb kills a reported four US troops north of al-Yusufiyah at noon Wednesday.
An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in the al-Kartan area north of al-Yusufiyah at 12 noon local time Wednesday.
Residents of al-Kartan village told Mafkarat al-Islam that the Resistance had planted the bomb in the middle of a village farm road and that it exploded under a US Humvee that was a part of an American military patrol going through their village. They said that the explosion destroyed the Humvee completely and killed its four-man American crew.
Al-Mahawil.
Resistance bomb blasts joint Polish-Iraqi puppet police patrol north of al-Hillah at noon Wednesday.
An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a joint Polish-Iraqi puppet police patrol in the al-Mahawil district just north of al-Hillah (which is south of Baghdad) at noon, local time, on Wednesday.
Witnesses of the attack told the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent based in al-Hillah that the bomb was planted by the side of the main road near the al-Mahawil puppet police station and that it blew up when the joint patrol of Polish occupation troops and Iraqi puppet policemen came out of the station to start out on a patrol headed towards the center of town.
The witnesses said that the blast, which occurred at 12 noon local time, destroyed on Polish armored vehicle, killing two Polish occupation soldiers and wounding a third. One Iraqi puppet policeman was also killed in the attack.
Diyala Province.
Al-Mada’in.
Resistance bomb blasts joint US-Iraqi puppet patrol in al-Mada’in Wednesday afternoon.
An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a joint US-Iraqi puppet troop patrol in the al-‘Askari neighborhood in the south of the city of al-Mada’in, located southeast of Baghdad, at 4pm local time Wednesday afternoon.
A member of the puppet so-called “Iraqi national guard” told Mafkarat al-Islam that the bomb was planted by the side of the road leading to the center of al-Mada’in. He said that the blast set one pickup belonging to the puppet forces on fire and damaged a US Humvee. One US soldier was killed and another was wounded. Four Iraqi puppet troops died in the attack and two more of them were wounded.
Diyala.
Resistance fighters ambush joint US-Iraqi puppet patrol near Diyala midday Wednesday.
Iraqi Resistance forces attacked a joint US-Iraqi puppet force patrol in the al-Wajihiyah area west of the city of Diyala (which is north of Baghdad) at midday Wednesday local time.
Witnesses told the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in Diyala that a detachment of 13 Iraqi Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons including RPG7 rocket-propelled grenades and BKC machine guns attacked the joint US-Iraqi puppet patrol, sparking a firefight that lasted about 10 minutes.
The Resistance fighters set two American Humvees and one Iraqi puppet pickup on fire in their attack. Four US troops were killed in the battle and five more wounded. In addition three Iraqi puppet troops were wounded an six more of them killed.
After the attack, which occurred at 1pm local time, US forces closed all the entrances to the city and began a campaign of searches in the area looking for the Resistance attackers.
Ninwa Province.
Tall ‘Afar.
Two-pronged Resistance attack kills a reported seven American troops Wednesday afternoon.
Iraqi Resistance forces mounted a two-pronged attack on a US military patrol in the middle of the northern Iraqi town of Tall ‘Afar on Wednesday.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in Tall ‘Afar reported witnesses in the Sa‘d Neighborhood in the middle of the city as saying that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded at 5pm local time Wednesday afternoon by a passing patrol of six US Humvees. The blast destroyed one Humvee, killing three American soldiers and wounding another.
Then as the US forces were encircling the area, an Iraqi Resistance martyrdom fighter crashed his explosives-packed car through a security barrier that the American troops had erected and detonated his payload by one of the Humvees parked on the scene. That explosion destroyed the Humvee, and killed four American troops who were aboard it.
Mosul.
Resistance bomb blasts US column in northwest Mosul midday Wednesday.
An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US column in the al-Islah az-Zira‘i area of northwest Mosul at 1pm local time Wednesday.
Residents of the al-Islah az-Zira‘i neighborhood who witnessed the explosion told Mafkarat al-Islam that the bomb had been planted in an intersection in the area and that it blew up as a column of six American Humvees was passing by. The explosion set one Humvee on fire, killing an American soldier and wounding three more.
At-Ta’mim Province.
Kirkuk.
Iraqi Resistance forces blow up gas pipeline in the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk igniting a huge fire.
A source in the collaborationist Oil of the North Company announced that Resistance fighters attacked a gas pipeline in the southern suburbs of Kirkuk on Tuesday night. The gas pipeline reportedly feeds the electricity generating plants located in the Tazah area to the north of the city. Fire Department units rushed to the scene to get the inferno under control.
A source in the puppet so-called “guards of oil installation force” reported that Resistance fighters planted a bomb under the gas pipe to the south of the city. When the bomb went off, it produced a great fire that was still burning several hours after the blast according to the Qatari News Agency Qana.
The city of Kirkuk has been the scene of numerous attacks on oil and gas pipelines as the Iraqi Resistance strives to prevent the US occupation and its puppets from stealing the natural wealth of Iraq. Qana reported that since the US invasion there have been at least 90 attacks on oil and gas pipelines in occupied Iraq, despite the fact that the occupation and its puppets have deployed 3,000 troops solely for the purpose of guarding oil pipelines and installations against Resistance attacks.
