Brzezinski rips Bush Iraq War policy

Carter administration national security adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski charged the Iraq War was being "conducted with tactical and strategic incompetence."
Brzezinski, in a harshly worded radio address aired Saturday, called for President Bush to outline what needs to be accomplished before U.S. troops can leave Iraq.
"Our nation also deserves an honest explanation for how we ended up in Iraq. And we deserve a realistic definition of success for a war that increasingly threatens to become a quagmire," Brzezinski said.
With opinion polls showing dropping U.S. public support for the war, Democrats -- and some Republicans -- have become more vocal in saying an exit strategy should be discussed.
"This war has been conducted with tactical and strategic incompetence. And ... America finds itself more isolated than ever before, the object of unprecedented international mistrust," Brzezinski said.
"Our nation also deserves an honest explanation for how we ended up in Iraq. And we deserve a realistic definition of success for a war that increasingly threatens to become a quagmire."

But what is there in common among Saudi Arabian fundamentalism, moderate Morocco, Pakistan militarism, Egyptian pro-Western or Central Asian secularism? Nothing more than what unites the Christian countries.
